Recommended Reading (With Addedum Related To The Firing Of Acting Attorney General Sally Yates)

See Obama’s administration made the “Muslim ban” possible and the media won’t tell you at Terra Incognita (hat tip to Infidel Bloggers Alliance):
I was outraged by the ban on refugees from war-torn countries in the Middle East. I’ve covered refugees fleeing war in Iraq and Syria over the last two years, meeting families on the road in Greece, Serbia and Macedonia, speaking to poor people in Turkey and Jordan and discussing the hopes and fears of people displaced in Iraq. If you want to ban “terrorists,” these are the last people to hit with a refugee ban. Instead the government should be using the best intelligence possible to find people being radicalized, some of whom have lived in the US their whole lives or who come from countries not affected by the ban, such as Saudi Arabia or Pakistan.

So I was outraged, and then I read the executive order....

[...]

But, wait a sec. According to the reports “The order bars all people hailing from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.” Critics had attacked Trump for selecting these seven countries and not selecting other states “linked to his sprawling business empire.” Bloomberg and Forbes bought into this.

But, wait a sec. I read the order and Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen are not mentioned in it.

Go back and read it again. Do a “ctrl-f” to find “Iraq”. Where is “Iraq” in the order. It’s not there. Only Syria is there. So where are the seven nations? Where is the “Muslim ban”? It turns out this was a form of fake news, or alternative facts. Trump didn’t select seven “Muslim-majority” countries. US President Barack Obama’s administration selected these seven Muslim-majority countries.

The Department of Homeland Security targeted these seven countries over the last years as countries of concern....

[...]

So for more than a year it has been US policy to discriminate against, target and even begin to ban people from the seven countries that Trump is accused of banning immigrants and visitors from....

[...]

...[W]hy didn’t CNN note that the seven countries were not named and that in fact they are only on the list because of Obama’s policy?...
Read it all HERE, including the numerous embedded links.

Read the text of Trump's executive order for yourself. Many news sites having published the EO, including the UK's Independent. See THIS.

Additional reading: Most claims about Trump’s visa Executive Order are false or misleading.

We cannot trust the mainstream media. They are the Enemedia and agenda driven.

ADDENDUM

From "Quick Thoughts On Sally Yates’ Unpersuasive Statement" by Jack Goldsmith of Lawfare:
...[I]n the context of deciding whether to defend a presidential EO, the question for Yates is reasonable legality, not what is just and right. If Yates thought the EO, independent of its legality, had crossed a red line of justice and rightness—whatever those terms mean—she should have counseled the President on that point and resigned if he disagreed....

While we may not be able to trust the MSM, we likewise shouldn't trust the pattern of POTUS and the Administration lying to the American people, then insulting them by claiming it's "alternatives facts".

    1. Mr.Trump may very well become a demagogue or an outright dictator (like Lincoln and FDR before him). Power too often does that to people, even when they are well-meaning at the start. [See All the King's Men with Broderick Crawford, a 1949 film based on the novel by Robert Penn Warren which chronicled the tragic career of one Willie Stark https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_the_King's_Men_(1949_film)]

HOWEVER, Donald J. Trump is EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED RIGHT NOW to begin the monumental task of undoing and repairing the hideous damage wrought by every president since Ronald Reagan left office in 1988 –– TWENTY-NINE years ago.

By the way President Trump's enemies constantly accuse him of "LYING." So far, I have not seen any concrete examples of this cited by any responsible journalist or blogger.

I think we who are DELIGHTED with President Trump's victory over Her Heinous –– AND the DemonRat Party –– ought to be better informed on this matter. So far, all we are getting is THE BIG LIE technique used first by Marxists, then adapted by Hitler.

The Left has made Lying With Facts into a highly polished, fine art. A look at one or two of the "scholarly," "well-researched," pointedly anti-American articles by Master Muckraking Troublemaker SY HERSH, often featured in The New Yorker, a formerly entertaining, highly-sophisticated journal COMPLETELY taken over by LEFISTS long ago would provide a good case in point. Reading Sy Hersh –– or Katrina vanden Heuvel, Joe Conason, Ellen Ratner, Amy Goodman, Greg Palast, Howard ZInn, Susan Sontag, or Noam Chomsky for that matter –– you just KNOW these people are DEAD WRONG, but they are so demonically clever with there SOPHISTRY and CUNNING it's very difficult to PROVE conclusively.

At any rate I could never bring myself to trust A SINGLE WORD published or AIRED by the nearly monolithic force of the ENEMEDIA.

By the way I am sorry to report that we should now include both C-SPAN and FOX News as a powerful members of the ENEMEDIA.

Since Mr.Trump's victory, C-Span has done virtually NOTHING but feature anti-Trump commentators, many of them supposed Republicans like the despicable Pete Wehner, a John McCain-style Republican who appeared yesterday soberly spewing anti-Trump rhetoric the entire time he was on the air to give just ONE of myriad examples.

ALSO C-Span, apparently, now only permits a majority of disaffected NEGROES, hysterical HISPANICS, and thick-tongued, whining, bitching, loudly accusing ARROGANT FOREIGNERS from Africa and the Middle East to dominate the calls they USED to welcome UNFILTERED.

Before C-Span's call-ins were filtered for "fairness," the vast majority who called Washington Journal were articulate, well-bred, mostly Caucasian Conservatives and Moderates. NOW all we hear is Gobbledygook and Ebonic Trash Talk rom angry dissident minorities many of whom DO NOT PROPERLY BELONG HERE and sh\ould never have been allowed in in the first place.

    2. CORRECTION: Shakespeare amply demonstrated (in Julius Caesar and other pays) that The Big Lie technique has been with us since ancient times –– at least. It was NOT invented by Marxists or fascists; it was simply USED by them with devastating effectiveness as all should know.

If you are getting this from The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Glove, The LA Times, or NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, NPR , The New Yorker, or The Nation, then your sources have no credibility whatsoever, since these are all members of the anti-American, pro-Marxist, pro-Muslim, pro-Internationalist ENEMEDIA.

You are acting more and more like a typical leftist every day, and I know you are not. The question is WHY? Is your visceral dislike pf Donald Trump SO strong that it has caused you to abandon all reason and all common sense?

Whether YOU think so or not, it DOES come across that way.

      Delete
    5. I don't give a fig how it comes across to you.....and since you act nothing like Conservative, you can probably tell what I think of your opinion of me.

Why do you insist that Trump hasn't lied? He's a pathological liar....which is why I have visceral dislike of him. I expect better from a GOP candidate, even a Liberal one. You obviously don't. You don't seem to care that he insults your intelligence or plays you for a fool....as long as he appeals to your base emotions.

Why do you stand by a charlatan that stated Hillary and Obama "founded ISIS". Then doubled down over the next three days, while his surrogates were forced to defend his lie.....then comes out and says that he was just being "sarcastic". Trump thinks your a fool for believing when he said of intelligence collection "And we have just no intelligence gathering information. We need this information so badly. And he [Obama] stopped it." That's certainly news to everyone in the intelligence community. Why do you admire an alleged "patriotic" man who told Col. McCausland [former Dean of the Army War College] that he "could teach him a thing or two about military strategy". The after Trump's asinine claim the Mosul could be taken by a "sneak attack" [not to mention that it's an Iraqi operation he tried to blame Obama for....not a US op]. Of course, I'm sure that you believe he got a standing ovation at Langely.....

Trump may do some positive things, and he's nominated some good cabinet picks.....but he needs to be held accountable every bit as much as the wailing, politically correct Right did, during the Obama years.

BTW, you forgot Fox and the other right wrong media outlets in your little list above.

I'm not sure how concerned Donald Trump should be about the Quebec City mosque attacks, supposedly carried out by "white supremacists".To my eye that seems pretty much like a stock cardboard cut-out to present itself in such a timely fashion following the recent Trump kerfuffle on immigration restrictions on specific countries.

It's at least smoked out the Prime Minister of Canada to announce that he and Canada will stand in the breach created by Trump's actions and welcome with open arms all the deplorables rejected bu Trump.

Such a swift action following Trump's action. This should put Mr. Trump on high alert as I'd guess this is something cooked up by either American intelligence or Mossad, possibly both working together. The "Allah Akbar" is growing old but I guess they never get tired of the trite.

White House statement on firing of acting Attorney General Sally Yates:

The acting Attorney General, Sally Yates, has betrayed the Department of Justice by refusing to enforce a legal order designed to protect the citizens of the United States. This order was approved as to form and legality by the Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel.

Ms. Yates is an Obama Administration appointee who is weak on borders and very weak on illegal immigration.

It is time to get serious about protecting our country. Calling for tougher vetting for individuals travelling from seven dangerous places is not extreme. It is reasonable and necessary to protect our country.

Tonight, President Trump relieved Ms. Yates of her duties and subsequently named Dana Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, to serve as Acting Attorney General until Senator Jeff Sessions is finally confirmed by the Senate, where he is being wrongly held up by Democrat senators for strictly political reasons.

After Reince Priebus, the White House chief of staff, received reassurances from Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the Republican leader, that the confirmation was on track, aides took their recommendation to Mr. Trump in the White House residence.
