  2. Reminds me of (very) old joke, which I'll update just for you:

President Trump announced to the press corps on camera, "Tomorrow at 6:30 AM I will walk across the Potomac from the Jefferson Memorial at the Tidal Basin to the Virginia shore opposite and back."

So of course, the press corps assembled at the Jefferson Memorial a 6:00 AM to witness the event.

True to his word President Trump appeared right on time dressed in a business suit, and proceeded to do exactly what he said he would. He actually DID walk across the Potomac from one shore to the other. Everyone could see he was still bone dry when he got back.

That evening headlines appeared in the Washington Post, barked out on Network TV and in every newspaper in the land:

DONALD J. TRUMP PROVES HE CAN'T SWIM.

    2. You indict, condemn and slaughter yourself, Canardo, with the perpetually haughty, disrespectful, snotty, belligerent, contemptuous attitude you never fail to display.

If you could se yourself as others see you ...

Oh well, never mind. Your perverse, relentlessly negative approach to discourse proves that you are doubtless irredeemable –– i.e. a hopeless case.

I still wish, however, –– for YOUR sake –– that one day you may see things as they really are, come down off your damnably incontinent high horse, and join the human race.

It's much more pleasant down here. I hope you realize that –– before it's too late.

I'm presuming this is because he has inherently low self esteem. Not an admirable quality.

    4. Duck, President Trump has already accomplished More for America than obama and GW Bush did in 16 years. LOL

When are libtards going to get a clue? My prediction - Never.

  4. The difference with Trump is that he DOES punch back. He enjoys it. Unlike Obama, who always had surrogates fight for him, Trump likes the fray. Especially knowing the MSM will get sucked in, and then flee, in tears. :D Is it "Presidential"? WHo knows? Who cares. Try to imagine a media-type in 1905 going after TR, or one of his kids. There'd be a bloody mess on the stairs. :D

One of my private clients was recently considering having his brilliant son apply to Oxford. But then this client saw some of the craziness that has now infested Oxford and decided against having his son apply. His son was in agreement with his father's decision!

  6. Farewell to Silverfiddle Who is Retiring from the Fray

    PART ONE

My dear friend, you have discovered what was revealed to me years ago. Our only true Enemy is the lust to gain Power and Dominance,–– the desire to Subjugate others and bend them to our will, –– the lust for Vengeance –– the determination to Get Even at all costs. So POWER, itself, is our greatest Enemy.

It doesn't matter whether it comes from the Left, the Right, the Church, the State, the Rich, the Poor, the Black, the White, the Lame, the Halt or the Blind. Whenever we long to "play God," instead of humbly submitting ourselves to HIS Will, we will continue to suffer and to cause others to suffer in return. It IS that simple, but few would ever admit it, because the desire to OWN and DIRECT our lives is so strong it makes us blind or even hostile to the means of our Salvation.

To wish you Good Luck would be trite, so instead –– because I am older even than your own father –– I dare advise you to "Lift up thine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh our help." Please don't settle complacently for what you already know, –– or like to think you know –– always strive for more instead, and to lift your gaze ever higher.

Though He remains invisible to the human eye, God is ALL-in-ALL –– the ineffable, inexhaustible, inescapable, ever-present, super-abundant SOURCE of Life, Light, Energy, Creativity, Joy, Truth and Love. He is Alpha and Omega.

There are many roads that lead to God. I have found Him most easily in the realm of music by composers such as Bach, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Schumann, Brahms and a number of others who were blest to act as WINDOWS letting those blest with spiritual vision to see limited amounts of God's Heavenly Light.

There is no darkness when one achieves even momentary unity with the Holy Spirit. May you find ever increasing amounts of Wisdom, Joy, Satisfaction, Peace and Fulfillment as you continue your Quest.

  7. PART TWO

The poignancy of SilverFiddle's farewell to blogging reminded me of the following poem by W. H. Auden. See if you can understand the the strong association I feel with the perplexities and lamentations SilverFiddle has revealed to us. I dared to write a sequel or addendum to Auden's opus that says in poetic language what I tried to say to SF in plainer terms above.

    _______ O What Is That Sound ________

O what is that sound which so thrills the ear
Down in the valley drumming, drumming?
    Only the scarlet soldiers, dear,
    The soldiers coming.
O what is that light I see flashing so clear
    Over the distance brightly, brightly?
Only the sun on their weapons, dear,
    As they step lightly.
O what are they doing with all that gear,
What are they doing this morning, morning?
    Only their usual manoeuvres, dear,
    Or perhaps a warning.
O why have they left the road down there,
Why are they suddenly wheeling, wheeling?
Perhaps a change in their orders, dear,
    Why are you kneeling?
O haven't they stopped for the doctor's care,
Haven't they reined their horses, horses?
Why, they are none of them wounded, dear,
    None of these forces.
O is it the parson they want, with white hair,
Is it the parson, is it, is it?
No, they are passing his gateway, dear,
    Without a visit.
O it must be the farmer that lives so near.
It must be the farmer so cunning, so cunning?
They have passed the farmyard already, dear,
    And now they are running.
O where are you going? Stay with me here!
Were the vows you swore deceiving, deceiving?
No, I promised to love you, dear,
    But I must be leaving.
O it's broken the lock and splintered the door,
    O it's the gate where they're turning, turning;
Their boots are heavy on the floor
    And their eyes are burning.

    WH Auden (1907-1973)
    –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

    ______ O What is the Source ______

O yes, dear friends, it is coming, coming.
But whatever will be the source?
Will it be the Muslims, Muslims?
Or day traders at the Bourse?
We know it might be the Marxists, Marxists
The Marxists on a Pale Horse.
Perhaps it will be the false Christians, Christians
Who'd nail sinners they hate to a Cross?
Perhaps it will be the Perverts, Perverts?
The Gays who've been gathering force?
Perhaps it will be our elders, elders
Whose minds have been gathering moss?
Perhaps it will be the young Lovers, Lovers
Who cavort in the bracken and gorse?
O we know it is coming, coming,
But we cannot acknowledge the source.
Perhaps it might be you and me?
Yes! Who else could it be, of course?

Most feel a need to convey their good fortune having seen the light and and now feel completed. Good. Let's not hallow. I will continue to toil in the field and until these cold dead fingers move no more.

  8. President Donald . Trump was right about about the 2016 election results, claiming that he would have defeated Hillary Clinton in the popular vote if it wasn’t for mass voter fraud.

The media claims this is false. But evidence shows us that fraud really does and did happen in the 2016 Presidential election.

Experts in elections studies carried out a study from 2014, which looked at data from the 2008 presidential elections. And the numbers are staggering.

As Newsmax reports, as many as 2.8 million non-citizens voted in that election, according to the study from Old Dominion University:

“We find that some non-citizens participate in U.S. elections, and that this participation has been large enough to change meaningful election outcomes including Electoral College votes, and Congressional elections,” co-author Jesse Richman wrote.

Based on those findings, the same experts found that more than 800,000 non-citizens voted in the 2016 election, Richman told the conservative site The Daily Signal.

President-elect Donald Trump on Sunday claimed in a tweet that he would have won the popular vote if not for the “millions of people who voted illegally.”

This is why Democrats are so opposed to border security and why and many blue states currently offer driver’s licenses to illegal aliens. Voter fraud in many states is too easy, and Democrat-leaning organizations are set up to encourage it inside minority communities.

This really changes the narrative. Democrats know that fraud overwhelmingly helps their candidates, which is why they campaign so hard against voter ID laws in every state.

President Trump continues to fight on Twitter, and the truth on his side!

Fixing the voting process wouldn’t just make America great again… It would also be a devastating blow to Democrats, who count on voter fraud to win elections.

    2. And of course that bolsters your determinedly negative view of President Trump, so naturally you accept it as gospel truth. I do believe –– like the joke I quoted above –– that The Donald could literally walk on water during a storm and not get wet, or turn water into wine, and I imagine you would STILL insist he was unworthy.

Eagerness to believe the worst about those for whom we have a visceral dislike is nearly impossible to overcome. I felt that way about Hillary Clinton the first time I laid eyes in her. My loathing verged on mania, but at least I admit it.

Prejudice and stubbornness are a terrible things. Of course all of us qualify as bigots each in his or her own way. Anyone with obdurate, hidebound convictions could properly be called a bigot. None of us is immune to the charge. Anyone who thinks otherwise has a REAL problem.

    4. Well FreeThinke, the Wall Street Journal (communist organ) called his proposal for Mexico to pay for the wall, "amateur hour".

Then we have most of the upper management of the State department quitting. They'll probably be replace by the executive board of Chevron.

  10. The cartoon about behavior of Congressional Dems falls short. Yes, they are crying like babies, but it goes deeper than that. Pelosi and other Dems who did attend the Inauguration wore political buttons to this non-partisan ceremony. Simply unheard of. And yet they will be the first to accuse Trump of politicizing things. Worse still is that Dems contribute to this mania surrounding Trump by suggesting his election is illegitimate. It adds fuel to those nuts who might do take violent action and may contemplate even more violent action. But Dems are NEVER held accountable for their words or deeds. Was Madonna arrested for saying she wanted to blow up the White House? Imagine if a Republican had said that during the Obama years.
