  1. Continuation of the above comment....I just deleted one such "comment," which consisted of the copying and pasting of at least one entire blog post. Such lengthy "comments" are a waste of the band width that I pay for.

    1. Post your screeds at your own blog, where nobody is interested enough to comment upon what you have to say.

Oh, wait! You have one comment at your own blog. Your own comment to one of your own blog posts!

  3. "Boston sympathetic to bombing suspect".

That's more than a bit misleading. The article mentions a conflict over the death penalty which is certainly true.
The government may well have been better off demanding life without parole.

    1. Maybe because you are completely unaware of the expense of the appeals process which is much higher than the relatively low cost of life inprisonment.

    2. The argument that the cost of death penalty cases is so expensive that we must choose instead life without parole is pure bunk. The popular argument rests on the notion that a death penalty case will cost about $2 million per case, while life without parole cases can be processed at a cost of only about $1 million per case. Such arguments are predictably false, and here’s why: Justice for All (a justice reform organization) stipulates that death penalty cases are more costly than LWOP cases at the beginning, but over time, the cost to the taxpayer of life without parole sentences exceeds the cost of death penalty cases from between $1.2 and 3.6 million dollars.

Dr. Edwin H. Sutherland and Dr. Donald R. Cressey, both sociologists at the University of California opined, “It is not cheaper to keep a criminal confined, because most of the time he will appear just as much causing as many costs as a convict under death sentence. Being alive and having nothing better to do, he will spend his time in prison conceiving of ever-new habeas corpus petitions, which being unlimited, in effect cannot be rejected as re judicata. The costs, therefore, are substantially higher.

Which means that Ducky is once more mouthing the popular rather than the informed scholarly arguments, but we are all used to that by now.

  6. I've noticed the same: that is, that liberals "self-segregate." Very few liberals whom I personally know live in a diverse area. The most diversity I've seen in their homes is that they often have Latino maids, groundskeepers, etc.

Several years ago, one of the liberal neighbors here got all wound up when he heard that a black family might be moving in next door to him. I kid you not! This happened shortly before the Civil Rights Movement. This neighbor had been publicly advocating for desegregation, but had a completely different attitude when he thought that desegregation was coming to his "backyard."

Few of the liberals whom I personally know have diverse gatherings in their own homes. Some of the conservatives whom I personally know do have diverse gatherings in their own homes.

Anyway, those are my comments for now.

  7. Thanks AOW, I appreciate your comment. But of course, You're preaching to the choir.

Yes indeedy, liberals are hypocritical, it’s that old story, “do whay i say, not as I do” . The liberal elite are not only hypocritical, and arrogant, but, worst of all, they are self-righteous, and holier than thou! They are willing to tell everyone else what to do and how to do it and come out with their with rules and regulations that apply to everyone else but themselves! They want to re-distribute the wealth but we never see the Kerrys, Kennedys, the obama’s or any other left-wing billionaire’s doing anything of the kind.,.

These do-gooders are always coming up with their socialist plans for redistributing other people's money and managing other people's lives ie. Michelle Obama’s BS about eating correctly and telling us how we should be raising our kids. The problem is that is all of these schemes are good for the “Gander”, why aren’t they Good of the “Goose”?. We are already giving Welfare, and Food Stamps, and Obamaphones to those who “cannot work” but it seems that those who avoid working are on the backs of the others those who actually do work, and when we “Do Work” and make a good living, we are called names, because we dared to acheive the American Dream, for ourselves and our families. We've got Lefties telling the American people what size sodas they can buy, what lightbulbs, how much they can eat
Liberals like Barack Obama, and the “Progressives” who follow him live and breathe in contempt, and despise for us Americans that aren’t in line with their Socialist agenda. , They despise what once was normal and decent in America. But these Hypocritical Elitist Liberals would no more live in the heartland or send their kids to a public school than they would RE-Distribute their own wealth! This reminds me of the liberal Democrats made who made their fortunes as slum lords, and became Real estate tycoons, and ambulance-chasers, who became wealthy Attorney’s . Or those who just married for their money does John Kerry come to mind here.

There's nothing wrong with making money, and i am ALL in favor of that, It’ is indeed the American Dream and of course. Mitt Romney earned every penny of his fortune, and to his credit he has never apologized for his success, nor should he or should anyone else who was fortunate enough and who world for it and obtained their wealth honestly. . But the liberal game to pretend to side with the poor and, by doing so, gain political power so as to further line one's own pockets. In all of this, the liberal elite are utterly cynical. I didn't notice any bottle-washers or cleaning ladies, or gardeners, or dishwashers, attend George Clooney's $40,000-per-person fund-raisers for Obama, nor any middle-class Americans, either. The liberal elite's contempt for the rest of us was palpable when Nancy Pelosi noted that "every week we don't pass a Stimulus bill, 500 million Americans lose their jobs," or when in 2004 Teresa Heinz Kerry called Elizabeth Edwards a "mother earth person" who still had a brain.

  9. Obama has been knocking, and minimizing the Republicans, the Tea Party people, white people (as does Michelle), and Fox News, and Conservative Talk radio hosts and their listeners since his first month in office. Remember Obama's remarks about "Republicans clinging to their Guns and Bibles", and about telling his supporters to "get in their face" and "take a gun to a knife fight". And that if the republicans won’t go along with him, he will go it alone!
It is about time someone ask this community organizer about his policies. If being a community organizer is "disrespectful comment" he should not have told the world that was his profession prior to being elected into office. . If that is such a dishonorable profession he should not have been one. George Washington was a farmer, Abe Lincoln was a dirt farmer also, Jimmy Carter was a nut farmer. Obama was a community organizer.
Damn, why can the liberals dish out "minimizing tactics" on ALL major TV networks and major Newspapers, Government Radio/TV (NPR). Heck, liberals published a book about how to eliminate a Republican President, and now Geraldo wants us to bow down to the American ruler who is the Democrat party.
Personally, I think that It's a crime against our intelligence to call Geraldo a journalist!
Geraldo believes that President Obama is president of everybody else except white guys. Otherwise, he would never have made that lame analogy. For better or worse, Obama is the only US president at the moment, and O'Reilly showed him exactly the respect he deserves; and he got some of the questions on the table with answers that everybody deserves. It would have been the greater disrespect for Americans to have done otherwise. Geraldo sounds like he is kissing up to his chances of scoring his own interview.
