Alive and Well: Class Warfare

by Sam Huntington
by Bob Mack

The American Communist Movement, also known as progressivism, is in full swing (again). This should be no surprise to anyone since John (The Commie) Podesta moved back to the White House staff. You may remember that Commie John created the Center for American Progress —an oxymoron of the first rank. Except for Monica Lewinski, the Center for American Progress has become the who’s who for anyone who ever worked for Billy Clinton. I must admit, however, that Commie John has made the most of George Soros’ money, putting together also the Progress Report (which hardly seems possible), and the other shills such as Climate Progress and Think Progress, which are equally incongruent.

In any case, this time the dividers, race baiters, and deceivers are involved in a new scheme, which they are referring to as this nation’s “income inequality” problem —starting with the creation of the Washington Center for Equitable Growth. Believe me when I say that this is the stuff of quality fiction. I have suggested fiction because the premise is false. Any economist who actually believes that there is a problem in this country with income inequality is a paid employee of the Soros Disinformation Institution —or belongs in one.

Oh, it is true that some people make more money than other people. The President of the United States makes more money than the Senate Majority Leader. Let’s see … a firefighter with 20 years of service to his community makes more money than a 17-year-old bagger at the local grocery store. I just wonder how this is unfair …

Key concept: this isn’t about income inequality; it is about selecting a new pile of guano to incite the natives. Truly, it is a tired old game. This new round of feigned outrage comes from the rather misguided notion that people at the bottom of the economic ladder are stuck there indefinitely. While I’m almost certain that the Obama administration wished that this were true, it isn’t. No more than the myth of George Bush’s hurricane machine, which we presume Obama ultimately inherited, and who used it in the creation of Hurricane Sandy.

The fact is that no one is “stuck” at the place where they were born unless being there is a matter of their choosing. A shopkeeper’s son can become a brain surgeon if that is what he wants, and if he is willing to do what it takes to achieve that goal. If there are people “stuck” on stupid, that’s their fault, not the fault of American society. Still, if we really needed someone to blame for this, we could begin with a serious examination of the leftist education system in this country, which seems to excel in making our kids dumber by the decade.

After acknowledging that America’s youth are significantly behind the rest of the industrialized world in academic ability, then we may be in a better position to analyze the garbled messages propounded by the communist left. I argue that the claim is false, but if there is a reason for concern—then we must look to the left. After all, they’ve created this mess we are in presently. In fairness, they are getting a lot of help from the RINOs in congress, too.

Then, according to the U. S. Census Bureau in 2011, “…blacks owned nearly 2 million businesses in 2007, an increase of more than 60% from the survey conducted in 2002 —triple the growth rate for all US businesses and the highest rate of increase for any minority.

"Marc Morial is the head of the civil rights group the National Urban League, which works to empower historically underserved communities. Discussing the foregoing data, he suggested that federal, state, and local policy makers should look to this growth in black companies when planning how to help American communities emerge from the recession."

Mr. Morial is right about that … so why isn’t the black president proud of the accomplishment among black business owners in America? The answer, I fear, is far more involved than political ideology.

A free market society doesn’t divide people up according to their economic status —it encourages people to reach out and take hold of realistic and achievable ambitions. The kid with an IQ of 82 will never become a brain surgeon. If we are providing young people with false expectations, shame on us. But the truth is that the not quite bright young man could become a well-paid, highly successful welder ... and achieve the American dream.

If anyone on the left or right wants to show compassion, put Americans back to work. Do this by implementing policies that encourage entrepreneurialism. Do this in contrast to the standard leftist fare of suggesting a $15/hour minimum wage for burger flippers —which is utterly asinine, and then blaming the opposition party when the idiocy doesn’t quite pan out.

Let us not be fooled: while the left talks about the American dream, they strive for statist policies that are anathema to that dream. It would certainly be convenient to the leftist cause if everyone were to accept the false notion that government knows better than everyone else. It would help to expedite the leftist cause if everyone else would just sit down and shut up.

Luckily, that isn’t how things work in America.

    1. Yes, Jon. The D'Rats never seem to understand that it is the excessive demands of Big Labor for more compensation than their bosses could reasonably afford, and their constituents could honestly deserve, and the heavy-handed methods government adopted that reduce opportunity to get ahead, discourage and cripple initiative, while hugely raising costs of production, all the while punishing success and insulting real achievement with increasingly heavy taxation that has caused all this "outsourcing."

Because of the Labor Movement and the Rise of the accursed Welfare State "Internationalism" and the "Global Economy" were born -- developments that triggered the Death Knell of American economy.

What are you, some kind of Communist? The triple growth rate was achieved through legislative "set-asides" and "mandates". I, for one, am SICK of COMMAND ECONOMIES.

    2. Sam, I think FJ is talking about laws that protect black businesses at the expense of white-owned businesses. Both the federal and state governments do this on an ongoing basis under the sham of SBA rules and the never-ending quest to level the playing field, even if it means driving white businesses persons out of business.

Total surrender is the only thing any of you would accept, and in that way the destruction of whats left of our freedom dies. I'd rather be free than polite. The opposition will tell that all people need to make enough money to enable them to pay for food, clothing and shelter, which is true. So your argument doesn’t hold water. “From each according to his ability. To each according to his need.” That’s the only way to have a fair and just society. How could you refute that claim?

What makes you think the outrage is “feigned?” Lots of people really are stuck at the bottom, because no one at the top wants to have anything to do with them, and would never have give them any chance even to survive let alone prosper, if it weren’t for the dedicated work of Progressives, whom you openly despise. What do you think that makes you?

Your suggestion makes perfect sense IF it is the goal of beltway bandits to fix the problem. You see, if everything was working like a well-maintained machine, there would be no real reason for politicians. So if those who love working in Washington want to maintain their jobs, they have to convince nitwits like Ellie (who I suspect is really Enema) that keeping blacks enslaved to the good graces of big government is our only course of action.

But Sam, small business growth must come from free market policies, not those proposed by Morial.

You just can’t get over the fact that Hurricane Sandy came along at just the right moment to push President Obama over the top, can you? The president’s handling of the situation was elegant, and Governor Christie’s enlightened attitude in embracing the president on the eve of the election was a great help too. That’s why the Right can’t possibly claim this current bridge problem has been engineered by the left to hurt Christie’s chances of getting his party’s nomination. We love Governor Christie. He’s one of the few Republicans we feel we can work with successfully.

Limiting the prospects of anyone on the basis of IQ tests, which historically have been racially biased in favor of whites, is not only cruel, it’s contemptible. 25. The media is in areal quandary, they haven’t gotten to the bottom of Benghazigate and yet they are focused on Bridgegate!
What I want to know is, who gave the order to stand down? Why is it acceptable to leftist that the president let people die for politics? That he lied and orchestrated a coverup? Why is their no media outcry about how he used the power of the American presidency to scapegoat an individual citizen because he needed someone to blame and the film-maker offended his religion,? Why is it acceptable for Obama to lie about them, setting them up for a death sentence?
Seems that they've known who was behind the attacks for a while. First of all I don't believe a word that comes out of the Whitehouse, or out of that lying presidents mouth. . If in fact they knew who it was, why not go get them, or send a scud over there, since we know where they are hiding. And, why would we let go of a terrorist, when we had him in Gitmo. Not only did we let him go, but he went back to his old ways. This government amazes me, from the republicans, to the democrats. Our country is in trouble, and I think the only people that cares, is us, the American people, because the government sure in the hell don't care.
way to go Obama & Clinton,, you two are two of the most incompetent socialist democrats that have ever had the pleasure to bring this much failure and embarrassment to America, but the media is focused on the damn traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge!
But all I hear day and night on the radio , tv, on the blogs, and in the newspaper is all about the damn traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge!
And The Times goes further in ridiculous assertions to protect Obama than even his own administration. Does anyone need any further evidence that the NY Times is a partisan rag than this?
Seems pretty obvious that the liberals sold their ethics and their country in return for food stamps.
