That was a lot of meaningless fluff. "This is indicative of disdain..." Yeah, right. I didn't need a facial expression to know that, Harris' words made that very clear.
The rest was equally trivial. We are told that what the speaker is saying is very important to him. Duh. This writer seems to think that he can "fool all of the people all of the time."
Yep, it's an entertaining enough passtime but IIRC it was demonstrated a while ago that people are better able to detect deception without video, and even better yet without audio (written testimony), suggesting that body language (at least to the untrained eye) is an unhelpful distraction.
Not real impressive, and not much that any of us couldn't have said....but having said that, I'd have said much the same!!! The Left is FAR better trained...maybe you have to be to actually make Americans buy your crap? (sorry) I think I'm the only one glad Kellyanne left the WH. It's funny that the writer talked so much about Pelosi's brows when that woman cannot talk without unusually 'big' hand gestures.. I, too, don't like Trump leaning all over the podium; but "not presidential" isn't shocking, is it. It's what many people like. Not me, too much!!
Interesting. But speech/rhetoric aside, have you ever seen a WEAKER more PATHETIC opposition campaign than Biden's? It's not even a campaign, more a sort of "vote for me or we'll burn your cities down" platform. Huh.

ReplyDeleteHe may have found "tells", but I found nothing telling in his article that I didn't expect.
At least now I know what a glabella is.

ReplyDeleteFYI:
ReplyDeleteI posted this blog post because, for several reasons, a lot of Americans believe too much in so-called analyses of body language.
