By the way, where did that infernal Z come from in his name, and why shouldn't he get rid of it? What could such a flamboyant anomalous silent letter like that mean in the context of an English speaking society?

Or why don't we just just call him Pete Strozick, and be done with it?

Peter Strzok is not as shameless as the grandstanding, totally unprepared Republicans like Gowdy and Gohmert. Any first year law student would have calmly and methodically used Strzok´s own words to prove his crimes. Any chairman would have the "point of order" Democrats removed to prevent their interruptions. Instead, the rudderless GOP encouraged a food fight and made sure nothing but rewards will happen to Strzok. Disgusting!

If only we had an attorney general that was as aggressive and unconcerned with appearing partisan as Eric Holder or Loretta Lynch he would wipe the smirk off that Strozk's face with an indictment! It's always amazed me how we bend over backwards to be fair to the same people who would break every rule in the book to go after us.

    7. I understand EXACTLY what you are saying, Mike, and couldn't agree more.

Rigid, iodeological purists never have and, apparently, never will, understand the concept of fighting fire with fire.

At the very least Strzok is guilty of thoroughly unprofessional conduct unbecoming an employee of the FBI or any other federal agency. That may not be technically classified as a crime, just as "collusion" is not technically a crime, but it certainly must be classified as an offense warranting summary termination of employment on discovery, and if it's not, then by God ought to be.

Apparently, in the corrupt culture of Washington, D.C., the definition of a prosecutable offense is fluid and entirely subject to the whims and caprices of whomever happens to hold the reins of power at any given interval.

In ther words, like it or not, REALPOLITIK almost invariably holds sway.

    8. Doesn't mitigate the fact that at present, an AG would have to invent a crime to indict Strozk with. Apparently, that's not an issue with the 'pragmatists'?

Hey Ducky, this is the game North Korea plays. I didn't notice you flapping your feathers when they did it to Obama.

North Korea is just trying to see if Trump will blink like Obama did SO MANY TIMES....

SEOUL, July 15 (Yonhap) -- The United States and North Korea held general-level talks for the first time in more than nine years on Sunday to discuss the details of an agreement to repatriate the remains of American troops killed during the 1950-53 Korean War.

The meeting had originally been scheduled to take place Thursday, but the North called it off at the last minute, citing a lack of preparations. The North then suggested holding general-level talks with the U.S.-led U.N. Command (UNC) on Sunday, and the U.S. agreed.

Now, remind me again how successful OBAMA was in getting the remains of U.S. troops returned.... Oh, that's right, HE NEVER TRIED.

I would think you would get tired of embarrassing yourself again and again with these poorly informed attacks on Trump.

      Delete
    3. Oh, that's right, HE NEVER TRIED.

That of course, is patently untrue.

In 2011, the United States and North Korea again began negotiating parameters under which U.S. military teams could travel alongside North Korean representatives to sites at the Chosin Reservoir and Unsan County, where the U.S. military suffered significant fatalities after China entered the war. The Pentagon announced the plan in January 2012 but ultimately scuttled the mission after more ominous suggestions from North Korea about the safety of U.S. troops involved.

The group [Richardson Center for Global Engagement] returned to the United States in September 2016 with an offer from North Korea to repatriate the remains of about 200 deceased service members, Bergman said.

The timing was complicated. The Obama administration continued to be “quite wary of taking the North Korean bait on some sort of diversionary tactic,” as Washington prioritized the threat of Pyongyang building up its nuclear weapons program, Russel said.

Then Trump won the presidency that November. Bergman said his group floated another proposal in which the president-elect would send a Trump Organization plane to the Korean Peninsula to recover remains before he took office. But the plan never got traction.

“We tried. It’s not that he said, ‘No,’ ” Bergman said. “We just couldn’t get it in front of him. And then the inauguration happened, and we were waiting to see what happened.”

  3. Peter Strzok´s Smirk Said He Was Lying

PJ Media, by Roger L. Simon

Although his texts to his paramour indicate he hated Donald Trump as much or possibly more than most of us hate Hitler or Saddam Hussein, Peter Strzok insists his extreme feelings did not affect his work in the Hillary Clinton email matter or the subsequent Russia probe. He repeated that ad nauseam throughout the circus-like congressional hearing Thursday. But no matter how many protestations the man makes, under oath or not, Occam´s razor plus most of our life experiences tell us that Strzok is full of shit. UK Pound Falls, UK Politicians Reel after Trump Broadside

LONDON (AP) — The British pound fell and U.K. politicians reeled Friday from the tornado-blast of U.S. President Donald Trump, who humiliated Prime Minister Theresa May, dashed hopes of a quick U.S.-U.K. trade deal and praised May’s opponents in the high-stakes battle over Brexit.

The pound fell 0.6 percent to $1.31 after Trump’s comments, and May’s government struggled to put a brave face on a presidential visit that has veered wildly off course.

“Trump claimed that Theresa May’s current Brexit plan ‘will probably kill’ any potential U.S. trade deal, a comment that not only undermines the prime minister at the end of an already challenging week, but one that understandably sent sterling sharply lower,” said Connor Campbell, an analyst at SpreadEx.

In Britain, where vicious differences are often masked by formal politeness, many politicians expressed shock that the U.S. president could be so downright rude.

In one of the milder responses, Universities Minister Sam Gyimah tweeted: “Where are your manners, Mr. President?” _ _ _

UK’s Labour Party rips Trump’s behavior: ‘What did his mother teach him?’

BY JOHN BOWDEN - THE HILL

    07/13/18 08:32 AM ED

The spokeswoman for the United Kingdom's Labour Party slammed President Trump's behavior on Friday after he criticized British Prime Minister Theresa May's plan for leaving the European Union and attacked mass immigration as a source of terrorism in Europe.

Labour Party foreign affairs spokeswoman Emily Thornberry appeared on ITV's "Good Morning Britain" on Friday and slammed Trump's remarks to British newspaper The Sun as evidence of poor parenting, according to The Associated Press.

"She is his host. What did his mother teach him? This is not the way you behave,” she said, adding that it was “extraordinarily rude of Donald Trump to behave like this.”

In a statement posted to Twitter, the Labour Party's leader, Jeremy Corbyn, added that Trump's policies were "dangerous and inhumane.”

"Theresa May has invited President Trump to our country at a time when his dangerous and inhumane policies are putting the lives and wellbeing of millions of people at risk," Corbyn said of May, who leads the Conservative Party.

Theresa May has invited President Trump to our country at a time when his dangerous and inhumane policies are putting the lives and well being of millions of people at risk.

“The theory that if we are nice to Trump he’ll be nice to us doesn’t seem to be going brilliantly," former Labour leader Ed Miliband said, according to The Guardian.

The monarchy is of course an absurd institution, but the Queen herself seems decent enough, I'm sure her skin is thick enough to take all sorts of protest in her stride.

It’s because the former KGB operative hates Trump’s Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, with such a passion that he wants to embarrass her personally and undermine — if not derail — her presidential campaign, they say."
