ObamaFail

And he still has an approval rating as high as it is?  It's the Cult of Obama!

About cultism:
A third trait of a cult is that complete loyalty is demanded of the followers. Dissent and criticism is not permitted. Those who dissent will be marginalized, excluded from decision making and demonized. If the leaders cannot get rid of the dissenters they will be isolated and given a name. They will be “the troublemakers” or “the grumblers”. The dissenters from within will be considered the most dangerous ones and you will find that there are divisions–those who are loyal followers and those who are suspected of being “disloyal” or “rebellious”. The disloyal and rebellious ones will be deemed “unspiritual” or “difficult”. In extreme cases the dissenters will become scapegoats and all the negativities of the group will be projected on to them....
Another source for cultism HERE. Worth your time to do down the checklist. How many items can you check off as evidence of the Cult of Obama?

A recent cover of The Economist deconstructs the Cult of Obama, yet the article goes on to relate how Obama can restore his credibility:

Cult followers are obdurate in the extreme.

I know I'm probably wasting my breath here, but the facts are facts whether you like it or not
I get tired of liberals bitching because some rich people aren't using their money to create more jobs right now. Maybe some retired and will spend their money in other ways to keep other companies afloat. Maybe some aren't interested in creating jobs for the millions of illegals in this country, who are often way more ambitious than certain citizens.

It's bad enough when Obama says that, at some point, people have made enough money, but when liberals start bitching about how people spend their money, it's just freaken ridiculous. The Left fell for Obama’s failures and continue to even with Obamacare.
We are being played by this sleezy president. .

  3. “The2ndAmendmenst” comment is right. The problems this nation faces is Obama, Liberalism, and Progressivism. And hopefully his declining ratings in the polls may bring us the light at the end of the tunnel we are hoping for, and will eventually lead to his impeachment or resignation. . Based on his lies and his failures.
I only hope that this country uses this president as an example of what Liberalism, and Progressivism is like and never votes that way again... EVER!

    1. CAREFUL! Even Andrew Breitbart's WIFE has vehemently denied any and all claims that her husband did of anything but natural causes.

I'd be more inclined to believe that Someone Way High Up "got" to John Roberts -- perhaps a threat to his little boy's life -- or a diabolical plot to kidnap his wife and subject her to death by the cruelest forms of torture imaginable -- in order to get him to change his INTENDED vote on Obamacare. Roberts seems to have a very decent man with a good record, but it IS possible that he was in fact a "PLANT." Roberts is certainly not the first Republican appointee to SCOTUS who turned out be a LID (Liberal In Disguise).Could all of these various betrayals and disastrous disappointments possibly be nothing more than a series of unfortunate ACCIDENTS?

Sorry. but I DON'T THINK SO.

Actually what matters most is the cost of servicing the debt and the government can now borrow at a rate that is barely above the natural inflation rate that even monetarists like Milton Friedman believed would exist at just under 3%.

When Saint Ronnie Raygun was doubling the debt and borrowing at over 12% did you say anything? Of course not. Wonder why.

  10. RUSH LIMBURGER said: “ Folks, just to show you how relentless this stuff is and how oppressive the left is, there’s something up on the Fox News radio site, some survey — get this, now — some survey says half of consumers will spend less this holiday season as a direct result of the government shutdown and the threat of another one.
Now, that’s just a crock. That is total BS. That is a great illustration of how oppressive and relentless the left is in propaganda and mind control and shaping opinion. The reason people are gonna be spending less is because they have less, and they have less because Barack Obama’s president. They have less because Barack Obama’s economic policies have destroyed jobs. There are 91.5 million Americans not working. There are 91.5 million Americans without very much disposable income. There obviously will be less retail spending this year, and the left knows it. And so, rather than people conclude the obvious, they want it out there that you are gonna spend less because of the government shutdown.”

There you have it. Anyone who a non-hateful bone in the body knows that the idiocy in D.C. between the Democrats and Republicans are what is screwing America, but the head racist feels that is is much easier to blame it the black guy. Knowing how ignorant and gullible his audience are, they will believe it without a second thought, expect for me. Here are the REAL facts!

And so, rather than people conclude the obvious, they want it out there that you are gonna spend less because of the government shutdown. In fact, I've already heard something along those lines in my local mainstream media (early-morning news).

As for ignorant and gullible, perhaps you yourself should look in the mirror.

  11. Here’s the problem. Rush can claim that Americans have less money because Obama is president, and 95% of conservatives will accept that statement without question
And if you DARE to point out that the recession started in 2007 under Bush, then you are buried in accusations of “blaming Bush.”
He is harping on the fact that 91.5 million Americans are not working, as if all 91.5 million of those people would even be capable of working.
Many–probably most–of those non-workers are retired people. Does Rush expect them to go out and get jobs, does he expect them to WANT to, does he expect that if the economy were functioning well, 91-year-olds would be WORKING for a living?
Just one example of the man’s lies and deception. Just like the Conservative bloggers out there.
It is a simple true statement that fewer people will be spending on Christmas this year because of the government shutdown. You refuse to acknowledge the number of people who were laid off or fired by defense contractors and other government contractors when the government shutdown. You think the only think that closed were national parks. And while government workers who were furloughed got their back pay eventually, civilian contractor employees did not.

What is ALSO true that 70% of the American economy is based directly to American consumer spending. This isn’t a statistic pulled out of thin air. This is an internationally recognized fact. Hell, even Americans know it. Our economy stinks because people don’t have jobs. People without jobs can’t spend money they don’t have. This is another basic fact. And, one last fact. One out of every six Americans is living in poverty. THAT is a lot of Americans. And, THAT is a lot of money that will NOT be spent this holiday season

This is the kind of thing Rush doesn’t tell you because he doesn’t want you to know. And of course he doesn’t mention the absolute gridlock the President has faced whenever he tried to passe a bill doing things that would have created jobs by repairing infrastructure, etc. He is quite happy to blame everything on the President, because that is what gets him ratings. As long as people like yourself keep buying his line, he’ll keep doing it.
Message to posters: If you bother to listen to what Conservatives, or Ted Cruz has to say about things, you would have a clue about what's really wrong and have a clue about how to fix it. If you choose to listen to Ted Cruz, and believe him, you are going to be clueless, and contribute to the weakening of the nation. Ted Cruz is a goon, hired to do a job on Americas..What happens to people who try to hold a person hostage to exhort money--they go to jail when they get caught--the Republicans and the Tea partiers sold $24 Billion from our economy--Jail them and make them pay restitution!!!
I guess they got the message from the Koch Bros. or Jim Demint from the Heritage Foundation, or Club for Growth to get on the internet and post their bullshit. Maybe it was an email blast from Joseph McCarthy...excuse me, Raphael "Ted" Cruz.

Why hasn't Obama, in the four years he's been in office, fixed those problems?

I will not ague about the recession or the job loss. I will simply ask why the President hasn't fixed it, when he both said he would and had the ability too. The Democrats controlled Congress for a few years there, remember? It was a one-party system. You cannot, sir, argue the Republicans stopped him when they didn't have House OR Senate. Why did he waste that one, very rare chance?

I do not expect a response to this, but maybe, just MAYBE, you'll think about it.

"Oil extraction is booming in America."

Yes, all on private property and he can do anything about it because its not government owned land on lease. As near as I can tell there haven't been any leases auctioned in several years.

      "It's not a supply issue"

Its always a supply issue and America is simply one of several competitors for the oil.

  13. From Obama and the Suspension of Belief:

...Obama captivated the media in a way that trumped even the old JFK/Camelot fixation. Even their present and temporary partial disenchantment will soon pass, given that it arises not from true anger at or a sense of betrayal by Obama, but only from passing embarrassment that it is not wise to continue to act as state megaphones when the president’s approval polls temporarily hover at 40%.

With Obama for the first time since the era of FDR, the liberal media envisioned a presidential candidate who was an ideological warrior and yet at last had a chance to win, due to his youth, charisma, and race. For the media, they saw an opportunity that would not be seen again in their lifetimes. To pursue Benghazi or the IRS scandal or to investigate the text of Obamacare in 2010 was somehow to set back race relations, the environment, the 99% and all those who had claims against the traditional conservative hierarchy....

  16. Getting back to the subject of Islam and the Quran.there is a claim by Islamic scholars as well as jihadists is that no one can produce s omething as beautiful as the Quran in the way the words are arranged and thus it can only be of God. This claim should be answered.
First, all someone has to do is examine some of the great works of literature to fine much written beauty. Such as the Greek epic poet Homer with his Iliad and Odyssey and then Virgil who produced the Aeneid has beauty. Even one of the non-Bible books in the Apocrypha called The Song of Three Children is also very beautiful. Thus just because someone sees a work that is written in great beauty doesn’t mean it’s inspired by God.
Second, the scholar Edward Gibbon wrote after an examination of the Quran that it is an “incoherent jumble of fable and precept and declamation which seldom excites a sentiment or an idea, sometimes craws in the dust and is sometimes lost in the clouds…” The writer Thomas Carlyle wrote the Quran is “A wearisome jumble, crude, incondite [with] endless iterations [and] longwindedness…” Likewise, the philosopher David Hume was NOT favorably impressed after reading the Quran.
[Source of the three scholars mentioned – Secrets of The Koran: Revealing Insight Into Islam’s Holy Book .56,66, by Don Richardson]

Furthermore, the following should be taken into consideration.

Of course the Muslim who reads the Quran will see great beauty in the way the words are arranged. This is, in part, because of the power of suggestion after being told so many times that the Quran is so beautifully written. That’s an old brainwashing method, repeating and being told that same thing again and again. Since he or she is always being told the same lie will end up believing that lie. In addition to that, the Imams try to discourage their people from reading other works, such as the Bible, so then they don’t have much or anything to compare or contrast the Quran with. Of course there are some Muslim’s that do read other works, but they are exceptions and they read other things only after they were already brainwashed by the Imams. In short, the Muslims can’t read the Quran objectively because their Imams have programmed them to have a strong bias towards it.

With the economy bumping along at a lackluster pace, and this year’s shorter-than-usual window between Thanksgiving and Christmas, sales and promotions began weeks before Thanksgiving Day, making this holiday shopping season more diffuse than ever. That left Black Friday weekend itself, the season’s customary kickoff, looking a bit gloomy.

Over the course of the weekend, consumers spent about $1.7 billion less on holiday shopping than they did the year before, according to the National Retail Federation, a retail trade organization....

  20. Ducktail,

If I recall, when the housing market tumbled which lead to the economy collapsing there was a democrat majority in congress. It was the brain trust of Frank, Dodd, and waters who help bolster the house for everyone especially those who have no income.

Those who trash Reagan and support obama are a strange breed. Reagan took over the carter disaster and turned it around in a year, obama took over the democrat congress disaster and has kept it going. I guess you can say he has been successful in keeping the economy in retreat for over five years. When was the last time he talked about jobs.

That leading from behind doesn't seem to be working but he still has those blind supporters.

As to the ducktail, I was working during the carter years and the 12% you mentioned under Reagan was half of what it was during the sweater years. Reagan did increase the debt but he showed results unlike the current incompetent incumbent. His attack on the middle class has been successful because the percent of the middle class has gone down while the poor, foodstamps, welfare has gone up.

In 2005 President Bush and Greenspan warned about the sub prime mortgages but Frank and Dodd said they were great. Then you had the brilliant Waters back up the head of fannie as doing a good job. Bush was at fault for not making more noise about his beliefs.

As this obamacare fiasco continues keep in mind that 80% of Americans with insurance were happy with it. Those 80% may get pissed about the lies from this administration. Of course there are always the true leftists who mark off the cliff.

Of course bummer is off raising money and blaming the republicans for all his failures A leader leads a failure blames.

  25. No, Reagan didn't show results, Carter appointee Fed chairman, Paul Volcker, showed results. Carter, in fact, was a weak president not so much because he was wrong to point out that we were overextended but because he couldn't generate the forceful leadership.
He tried cutting back spending but Saint Ronnie Raygun just doubled down.

If Greenspan was concerned about sub primes then I want to know why he DID NOT use his regulatory powers. He had the power NOT two minority members on Congressional committees.
The bulk of subprime loans were not being made by unregulated firms and only the Fed's power could have stopped the likes of Ameriquest and Countrywide.

As for Fannie and Freddie. First, it certainly wold have been better if they had not been privatized, right?
As a publicly traded company the board cut corners in an attempt to boost the stock price and their pay. They were loosing business to the subprime lenders and had to reverse it to keep the stock price up.

The private market FAILED and the mistake was following Greenspan's belief (since retraced) that unregulated markets are self correcting.

    Learn this Skud:
There are two ways to deal with the internal contradictions of capitalism
    1. The Tea Bagger way of just letting it eat the middle class alive (the working class has already been hosed).
    2. The Democrat way of trying to slow down the demise.

As it turns out, that line to the treasury didn't make it much different than other large financial entities.

How about this one, to quote Al Gore, "No controlling legal authority".

Freddy and Fannie are Government Sponsored Enterprises, (GSE)s. although the two companies are privately owned and operated by shareholders, they are protected financially by the support of the Federal Government. These government protections include access to a line of credit through the U.S. Treasury, exemption from state and local income taxes and exemption from SEC oversight..

In other words, the privatization act of 1968 gave them cover and removed them from the scrutiny of the SEC. It left them as the bag men for unscrupulous actors.
