October Surprise (With Addendum)

So, President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for COVID-19, some 30 days before the National Election.

Now, what?

ADDENDUM:

  1. My prediction, based on having had it myself and on the fact that he is a few years younger and in far better basic health than I am, is that in a couple of weeks he steps up to the podium and says, "All better now. I told you it was no worse than a bad cold."

    2. I hope your optimism proves justified, Jayhawk. I wish I could b so certainm.

It woudn't surprise me if the Democrats somehow manage to poison the president, and end his life.

Why not? Just about every other horrid thing one could imagine has been brought to bear on Donald Trump, his army of enemies sought to bedevil and ultimately destroy our president. The leftists have no mercy, no principles, no decency, and no empathy whatsoever.

    3. Doctors said that the president is doing well, with no difficulty breathing. "I feel like I could walk out of here today," Trump told the staff, according to Dr. Sean Dooley, the president's physician. However, a source familiar with the president's health later told White House reporters that "the president's vitals over the last 24 hours were very concerning."

The source's name rhymes with Mark Meadows

      No Point Reading?

      No Power to Republicans?

Leave it to you, Canardo, to rely on the most heavily biased left-leaning sources available.

NPR is right in a class with the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Huffington Post, the Boston Globe, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, Michael Moore, Taegan Goddard and every other leftist piece of dirt in the communications industry.

Females tend to lean left far more heavily than males

I know that it seems that way sometimes. But I don't find that true in my experience. And that experience reaches beyond my own family.

The leftwing female politicians are elected by a leftwing constituency, who would as readily elect a leftwing male.

I also believe this...were it not for mothers and wives and sisters, the world would be engaged in never-ending warfare.

    5. I dunno, I think you can look at all the multi-generational conflicts going on around the world, these are sustained by mothers/wives/sisters... well everyone really, but women included.

Politics as a whole in Britain is still very blokey, but I don't think the political wings are gendered.

  3. Botox nancy was all positive with her wishes for trump, he brought this on himself.
Good point jayhawk because he is in the high risk group. Until trump can be cleared the party of hate will be all over this saying predator biden had the right approach by locking the doors of his basement.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Skud, Biden was doing what the CDC and medical professionals recommend, especially if you are in a high risk group as both the president and Biden are. Why mock a person, as the president also did, for behaving in a way that doctors recommend?

    1. Rev, Social distance and wear a mask when you can't. I don't think even dr. death said lock yourself in your basement. What do those people who don't have a basement to hide in. Looks like basement discrimination to me.

In two weeks trump will be fine so predator bidens plan to close the country so he can accomplish what his mentor started will not be necessary. He will have to come up with a different plan to finish off small businesses. The media is all about trump having covid and when he recovers they will go silent.

    2. "In two weeks trump will be fine..." said Skud as the president was taken to Walter Reed with a fever, cough and congestion.

Honestly, I hope you're right Skud.

But President Trump, through his carelessness and cavalier attitude, put not just himself and family in danger, but the United States as well. Any time a president is publicly incapacitated is an invitation to our opponents and enemies abroad to act up.

  6. We best hope that no one who has been around the White House the last few days gets this. The ramifications are going to be huge. The list of known people around the President and his family and staff, who also refuse, as his kids did at the debate, to wear masks, is huge.

There's going to be a huge contract tracing exercise going on right now.

Was Pence exposed? ACB? Pelosi? Mnuchin? Mark Meadows? This list is endless.

For all we know, it's a false positive.
A lot of that going on.

      Delete
    3. Yes Ed, it's a false positive. Said the White House as the President was taken to Walter Reed. Said tow Senators who tested positive. Said journalists and others who were exposed at the White House and now are infected.

Yes, it's all about a false positive.

This is serious. Our president is in the hospital. he would not be there if it was not serious.

      Delete
    4. Libtard... really? none of those people have been exposed? What's hogwash? I get you may not like the reality, but the President of the US is in the hospital. This is not routine.

      Delete
    5. ...he would not be there if it was not serious.
Yes, he would. He is the president. The media, who wants desperately for it to be serious, said clearly that it was "for observation" and "as a precaution" and that he had nothing but "a mild fever."

      Delete
    6. The UK press downplayed Boris Johnson's symptoms when he had it. Doesn't make trump's reaction any more or less likely to be serious, but it's a reminder (if such were needed) that the reports of his condition are not to be trusted.

      Delete
  7. Not sure why the ramifications will be huge. Two million Americans have confronted COVID. It is not a surprise that the POTUS has it, rather surprising, that he has managed to shake free of it for so long.

Trump is a healthy man, with greater energy level than men at least a decade younger than him. I doubt he will fall within the one percent who have a poor outcome.

    1. Well Tammy, no matter your party, everyone should be concerned that a sitting president may have knowingly put US service members and the public in danger of contracting a deadly virus.

Would that be a huge ramification?

Today the president's doctor said "we are 72 hours into a diagnosis". That means the president knew sometime Wednesday that he was infected. By the public timeline that conflicts with the doctor's timeline, the White House and President Trump knew he had been "exposed" to a person positive for Covid [Hope Hicks] prior to leaving for his New Jersey fundraiser.

With either timeline, the White House, and by extension, President Trump, knew he had been exposed and chose to put the military flying Marine One and the attenders at his fundraiser, in jeopardy.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like a big deal. A president risking the lives of people for a fundraiser. What would anyone here say had a president from the Democratic Party done the same?

  8. Senator Tillis and Mike Lee tested positive. If one more on the Judiciary comes down with it and the Dems walk there will not be a quroum for a hearing for the Supreme....thus no approval by the committee to move it forward... Ok folks.. get your tin foil out.

    1. Trevor,
I have to be honest here: most TRUMPUBLICANS are quite lackadaisical about wearing a mask.

And I almost never go out. No Wal*Mart for me! No shopping malls for me!

A virus does what a virus does. It spreads!

    2. Thus far, according to the Washington Times, about the six COVID-19 cases among Trumpublicans:

All were at the White House when Mr. Trump announced Saturday that he was nominating Judge Amy Coney Barrett to fill the vacant Supreme Court seat.

We shall know if a few days if that day was a spreader event.

  10. Just heard this on the radio: we hope the President not only recovers quickly, but gets very much better generally.
Personally, I'd require more than the word of a known lying sack of **** to be convinced it's a real diagnosis. At least we (and he) are conveniently spared the last two debates!

    3. As for the debates, I don't think following Covid guidelines of a 14 day quarantine after symptoms subsides, that 2 debates can be fit in any timeline.

The president will under treatment at least through the weekend. That would mean a 14 day clock could start on Monday, October 5. That would get us to October 19 at the earliest, according to CD guidelines.

After that, it will hard to fit a second debate in, at least IMO.

      Delete
    4. Rev, if they don't have another debate then predator joe will be relieved. In the next debate he might be asked a question he has to answer and trump might shut up long enough to let him. Both of those things are a possible not a probable. Predator joe got away from the first debate never answering one question and serial predator trump screwed up by not letting him.

The VP debate is the most important since one of them will be president before long. Cruella in the first six months if predator joe wins and Pence before the four years are out if trump wins.

    5. Skudrunner,
Pence before the four years are out if trump wins.

      Likely, but not inevitable.

The case is different with Biden. Harris would be the inevitable POTUS. **shiver**

"It"'s just a troll with one, cut and paste, comment after another. The more you reply the more it will post. It's not allowed to post here and there is even a pattern "it" follows to ensure its posts remain up as long as possible --which isn't very long--.
Fortunately, our regulars and admins have lives, unlike "it", which leave us unable to delete its comments as soon as they appear. Blogger and its ancillary services leave us unable to ban "it" without going to a paid service or installing a different comment service with all the headaches that can entail.
"it"'s just an obscene phone caller in an age of caller ID.

  13. Trump is a Christ-like figure, who has like the original Jesus, sacrificed himself to the wanton savagery and barbaric cruelty of an inherently vicious establishment in hopes of saving s basically decent, but tragically miseducated, ignorantized population of dupes and innocent victimes of satanic forces determined to destroy Good and supplant it with Evil. But unike Jesus Christ ,Donald Trump is not God, so if he is defeated this time, there wll be no Resurrection, and no Hope whatsoever for Redemption in the future of this benighted race of human cr creatures who by rejecting Salvation yet again may very well consign themselves to Extinction –– the status of an experiment that failed. A fate we would richly deserve should we permit it to occur.
