Real life, this time, pleasurable real life, supersedes virtual life!
Warren is coming for a visit — his third visit to Washington, D.C.!
There's too much going on here to work on publishing blog posts.
Then, once Warren arrives, we'll be busy doing some sightseeing. First up: Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. After that, sightseeing plans have not yet been definitively made.
During this blog's hiatus, enjoy Classical Music for Reading - Mozart, Chopin, Debussy, Tchaikovsky...:
Index to the music on the above audio can be found by clicking "show more" HERE.
UPDATE
We have now toured both Thomas Jefferson's Monticello (on a brutally hot day) and James Madison's Montpelier (in cool weather).
Next up: National Museum of Health and Medicine.
Well, Have a Heck of a Lot of Fun !
ReplyDeleteFJ took the word right out of my thinking apparatus.
ReplyDeleteE__N__J__O__Y__!
And please give our most cordial regards to Warren.
Warren will probably fix us breakfast this morning: bacon, eggs, sausage gravy, biscuits. The works!
ReplyDeleteThis afternoon, Warren and I will go to look at a stained glass window that popped up for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
Warren also came bearing food: smoked ribs with all sides.
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend with lots of fun!.. so far a nice selection of music that I have gotten through... :)
ReplyDelete_______ PRIMARY SOURCES ________
ReplyDeleteLook well upon the men who dig in mines,
And work machines in mills and factories grim.
Be aware that those who tend the vines
Or till the soil give much for wages slim.
Reaping sowing, weeding, hoeing make
Full the nation’s store of nutriment.
Overland the burly truckers take
Rich provisions and accoutrement
Coast to coast. The teamsters load and haul
Enormous hordes of stuff that we’ve empowered,
Shipped in freighters, stored in silos tall,
Delivered, well-displayed, and then devoured.
Awards are due the goods and who supplies them,
Yet the wise despise the guys who advertise them.

_____ IN HONOR of LABOR DAY ______
ReplyDelete____ TO THOSE WHO HELP ____
May God bless the practical women and men,
Who rise from the hay every day, and then
Produce what we need
Without rancor or greed,
Make things run,
Get things done,
Keep things clean,
So they're fit to be seen,
And continuously smooth the way
So that we may live comfortably every day.
~ FreeThinke
________ STILLNESS _______
ReplyDeleteNo sound beyond the dropping of the leaves
Or shushing in the treetops of the stirring
In the air and periodic whirring
Soft of wings and bundling of sheaves ––
Every now and then a bird may call
Looking for or longing for his mate;
Escaping still the hunter’s dinner plate.
Scythes swish steadily as grain grown tall
Submits to delicate compelling force.
Workers silently bent to their task
Over whom hot sunshine spills its rays
Reap swiftly knowing pain could come, of course.
Later, in the afterglow they’ll bask
Dreaming –– foolishly –– of better days.
~ FreeThinke
FRANCO ARAGOSTA'S PRONUMCIAMENTO for the DAY:
ReplyDeleteIF MIKE FLYNN, PAUL MANAFORT AND ROGER STONE ARE NOT PARDONED –– AND PAID "REPARATIONS" –– VERY SOON, –– AND IF COMEY, BRENNAN, STROZK, PAGE, CLAPPER, ROSENSTEIN, AND H_I_L_L_A_B_I_T_C_H DON'T WIND UP IN PRISON, A.G. B_A_R_R WILL HAVE TO BE AJUDGED JUST AS CUNNING, EVIL, DEVIOUS, AND CORRUPT AS tHE REST OF PRESIDENT TRUMP'S TORMENTORS FROM THE D.C. SWAMP AND THE GLOBALIST ELITES.
What lovely music and have a great break! Workers of the world unite.
ReplyDeleteLovely! And enjoy your visitor and visits.
ReplyDeleteHoni soit qui mal y pense ––
ReplyDeleteForever, not just for the nonce.
He who bites The Hand That Feeds
Soon finds it is HIMSELF who bleeds!
Destroy Advantage for The Bosses,
And we ALL will suffer losses.
Actions based on Mindless Spite
Lead to a life in Endless Night.

A RHYMED ANALYSIS OF HUMAN NATURE FOR WHAT IT MAY BE WORTH
ReplyDeleteTo Whom It May Concern
For those in great pain
Expressing disdain
May oft prove a source of relief.
Showing contempt
Makes churls feel exempt
From the tenets of righteous Belief,
For those who lack humor
Fixate on each rumor
That tells them the mighty will fall,
And steadfastly dwell
On the hope of Hell
For the clever, good-looking and tall.
Pouncing on error
They hope to strike terror
Deep in the heart of their betters,
Who’ve made them feel low
By the virtue they show
With minds unburdened by fetters.
These churls wax pedantic
Whene’er they feel frantic
To prove to themselves they have worth.
What they do is invidious,
So an aura quite hideous
Soon blots out all traces of mirth.
They take what’s euphonious,
Then claim it’s erroneous
With captious and petulant wrath.
This conduct so odious,
Shrill, unmelodious
Irks even the stones on the path.
Each animadversion
Is a form of incursion
That ruffles, then plucks out the feathers
Of birds––especially the dodo––
Who falls prey to the dragon Kimodo
That strikes fear and dismay in all weathers.
These attempts to assuage
A fierce jealous rage
Make it hard to find anything stupider.
The stupidest folk nurse a grudge,
Hold it long, squeeze it tight, and won’t budge,
And that’s the sad truth, by Jupiter!
~ “Ogden Gnash”

You know, it what bugs the hell out of me? When I think about the dumb, Illiterate, uneducated morons who put that monster Barrack Hussane Obama in office and who are still defending him today. And so many good people and hard working families have to suffer because of it. And when us conservatives complain about the damage he has cause, we are called “racists” Well, that’s no surprise, that’s the liberal’s mantra, “Blame Bush” or call us “Racist’s” And still these useful idiots, are in awe over this Socialist, and won’t accept the truth.
ReplyDeleteNow I don’t know that , Ms. Shaw who everyone seems to mention, but if she was raised by socialists and communists or whether she learned it in school, or whatever, but all I know is that I don’t like her.

ReplyDelete‘Trans-Feminist’ Vegan Group Releases Pro-Chicken Video Where Hens Are Separated from Roosters Who Rape Them Without Consent
Gateway Pundit
by Jim Hoft
Almas Veganas, a transfeminist vegan group from Spain, recently released a video where they argue that hens should be separated from roosters who are out to rape them without consent.
This is the modern day left in the West — complete crackpots.(Photo)
The activists have concerns about the hens’ abilities to consent. Worse yet… They take themselves seriously.
National File reported: Almas Veganas, a vegan group from Girona, Spain, are an anti-speciesist and transfeminist group who were recently seen in a viral video . . .

ReplyDelete______Why Be A Democrat? _____
Willfulness is part of what it takes;
Haughtiness makes a component too.
Yearning for a better life’s heartaches
Beset by Self-Deception’s shuttered view
Earns suicidal urges ‘mongst the Rich,
And fosters dreams of Vengeance in the Poor
Deny this truth? You’re apt to lose your niche
Ending up locked outside your own door.
Money too diffused loses its power.
Our hope to see Equality for All
Creates a fractious mental climate sour
Resulting in Revolt bound to appall.
A misperception of our truest need
Traps us where upon ourselves we feed.

ReplyDeleteDemocrat presidential frontrunner Joe Biden’s campaign is beginning to remind us of Hillary in her 2016 campaign against Donald J. Trump. Like Hillary, clips of Biden bumbling and stumbling through townhalls and TV appearances have been played over and over again on multiple news outlets and all over social media.
Tonight, Biden gave his supporters a new reason to question his fitness to become the next president. During a CNN town hall focusing on climate change, Biden’s left eye began to pool up with blood.

RUSH: All right. “‘Climate Crisis’ Media Coverage Raises Alarm About Journalistic Objectivity.” Really? I was thinking about something during the top-of-the-hour break. I’m asking myself, “Why is this climate change so simple to me? Why is recognizing how bogus it is so simple to me, and why do so many people…?” Otherwise, I mean, these are decent people. They’re just scared to death; they believe it. It’s not a matter of intellect because intellect isn’t involved in the people that believe it. Now, they think it is. I mean, they think that they’ve got science on their side. . . .

Baysider,
DeleteIt is best to dedicate an entire day to Monticello. Warren and I basically did that -- although we got a bit of a late start. And the weather was brutally how, to the point that we didn't enjoy much of the gardens and other areas besides the mansion.
Warren and I had a great time during his visit! We even managed to work in a visit to a gun shop well southwest of DC. I used to practice on the range at that gun shop. See Clark Brothers and Shooting Range.
