Red White and Blue Scare

Silverfiddle Rant!
The 2016 election of Donald Trump encrazened Democrats and the political establishment.  His refusal to concede the 2020 election and instead wave the stolen election bloody shirt culminated in his most ardent supporters mobbing the Capitol.

The Democrat-Press-Political Establishment Axis has responded by unleashing a Red White and Blue scare, a hysterical over-reaction that will make the Red Scare of the 1950's and the Muslim scare of the 2000's look like a pillow fight.

Can I ever again climb into my pickup with my buddies and our guns and ammo, going out hunting or for target practice, and not be under suspicion?  Indeed, even law-abiding citizens with no criminal background are now considered dangerous ticking timebombs.

It's All About Revenge...

The left is giddy.  "The Capitol Siege" is the moment they've been waiting for.  An opportunity to take the conservatives' Islamist terror rhetoric and antifa domestic terror talk throw it all back in the rights' faces, flaming hot:
"Who are the anti-American terrorists now, you rightwing racist extremist bastards?"
These are heady times for the MAGA haters, always happy to dispense morality tales.  This one is even more powerful than their favorite one about the deplorable Covid scoffer who ended up dying of Covid:  This is what happens when benighted morons refuse to listen to the enlightened progressives and insist on electing a populist orange monster.  *tongues clucking* "We told you it would end badly."

Next will come the public struggle sessions, forcing apologies and confessions from Trump supporters, with the progressive crowds poised with thumbs sideways, deciding whether to accept the contrition or condemn the former MAGAt to a marginal life sitting alone in a cafeteria muttering to herself that two plus two equals five.

The left is wallowing in an orgy of fear-mongering, sanctimonious scolding, and vengeful recriminations.  Calls from the left include purging people from social media, government control of public speech, government 'reining in our media,' blackballing "Trump collaborators,"  reeducation and deprogramming, expelling most of the GOP congressional delegation, and much, much more.

Where does this end?  Will the hysteria die down, or will it gain an out-of-control life of its own?

Please tune in this Friday.

  1. Well, you may recall that the writer of the "Little Red Book" finished his long march, made his "struggle sessions" and the practice of self criticism the norm, and ruled China for many decades. Do you claim that such a thing cannot happen here? You'd best wake up. It is happening here, and is well advanced.

  2. The party of equal rights and freedom of speech has won the battle they fought for over four years. Now they can do what they do best raise taxes and throw money away. Ban any dissenting opinions on all social media. Give millions to the worthless paris accord, shut down the pipeline so fuel prices can increase, restore the taxes increases but claim not for the average person Punish those awful corporations who will pass through any tax increase. They are already committed to sending stimulus checks to people who's income has not changed or are retired.

Now when you turn on the news it will be all rainbows and flowers unless something bad can be reported about the conservatives.

  3. I keep hearing the never ending LIE that the speech given by President Donald Trump at his Rally to his supporters on January 6, 2021, was the Worst Thing to Ever Happen to the United States by any other President in our History
Despite the fact that NO ONE WANTS to hear Donald Trump actually saying, “I KNOW THAT EVERYONE HERE WILL SOON BE MARCHING OVER TO THE CAPITOL BUILDING TO PEACEFULLY AND PATRIOTICALLY MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD.”, And even after it has been well proven and documented that it appeared that a number of Professionally-trained Activists/Agitators belonging to the Domestic Terror Group Antifa, with the help of the Black Lives Matter led crowd of useful idiots on a Violent march through out the Capitol Building – ending in the death of a Woman trying to breach a barricaded door, and the arrest of MANY of these terrorists that were posing as Trump Supporters, but who were actually PHONEYS

If you watch the videos that they have released very closely, you will see that the big majority of the crowd appear to be excitement-seeking individuals who were taking selfies and grabbing souvenirs. Anyone that was in the Military would be trained enough to see individuals with gas masks, and wearing vests, and who were equipped with weapons, and backpacks, some of which held a change of clothing so that their appearance wouldn’t stand out as they tried to fade back through the crowd, not being noticed.

However, one such individual DID stand out, standing next to the woman who was shot and killed He was a trained agitator that is very much associated with Black Lives Matter and Antifa who can be seen on various videos encouraging, and even shouting out the word “revolution” and even urging the crowd to “burn the place down”. MOST Importantly, an examination of the timeline shows that the Capitol Building was breached before the Trump Rally even ended, and the crowd that was marching to make their way to the Capitol Complex. Showing that these people were already there prior to the rest of the crowd.

Why is this so important? And why was this event so repeated endlessly, and endlessly with the Progressive mainstream media along with anti-Trumper, and you can find the Same story but without the expatiation on the LYING Progressive Blogs.

  4. Early in the progressive era, someone decided that if we hoped to maintain our republic, then officials would have to address the poor state of education in the United States. It was a bona fide concern because most people back then remained marginally illiterate through the end of World War II. By the way, American illiteracy helps to explain the propaganda cartoons from Warner Brothers Studios in the 1940s.

In 1960, only 42% of American males above 25 had completed eight years of education. In 1991, 70% of males above 25 had completed high school – a suggestion that 215 years from the nation’s birth, American society had begun to produce better-educated people — except that the term “better educated” is highly subjective. To many educationalists, ‘better educated’ means higher secondary graduation rates, which they achieve by lowering the standards used to assess content mastery.

Three factors reinforce the preceding claim. (1) State-approved questions posed to students on high-stakes examinations reflect the lowest-possible academic proficiency in core subjects. (2) Roughly 30% of first-year college students must complete remedial classes before they are allowed to enroll as full-time students. (3) A persistent claim from among community and business leaders that newly graduated high school students (those entering the job market) are functionally illiterate.

From 1900 to 1991, the American people had a fixed sense of who they were — which, in most part, was the result of a very turbulent century that forced people to gravitate toward one of three societal possibilities. After 1941, the United States went on a war footing, either in general war, or cold war, or on the brink of yet another great war — but in the 1990s, we took a radical shift into the new century. No real enemies were left to confront, and so we began to engage one-another, and to achieve this, one side of the functionally illiterate mainstream adopted and radicalized “progressivism.”

The basic definition remains the same, but the strategies and tactics used to achieve it follows the Maoist and Stalinist playbook, which is to say, implementing radical actions designed to stifle the opposition by whatever means necessary — whatever it takes to “win.” This is the price of an under-educated society — the functional illiterates who know far less about anything than they think they do.

Where this takes us is back to racial polarization, destroyed commercial centers in downtown areas controlled by Democratic administrations, increased taxes, diminished disposable income, higher unemployment, and a generally disaffected society — which is precisely where the Democrats want us. Fundamentally changing the United States — that’s the ticket — even if it means destroying that which we have struggled to make work (with varying degrees of success) over the past 245 years. Burn Baby Burn.

    1. Mustang,
      Exactly so.

I've been warning for years, since about 1985 when the self-esteem "movement" overtook education, both public and private, that our education system is a Trojan Horse. It has destroyed us from within.

PS: Thank you, my friend, for taking the time to make your comment. It's so important!

  5. What Mustang said. yes we lost Education as it was quickly turned into indoctrination. The media was always on board for the most part just more stealthily than as of late. Those indoctrinated and triggered imbeciles made their way into education themselves, and media, and government. The left has been working this a long time and did not need Trump for this. In fact, it is only because of Trump we can see what was done to our country. Another standard issue republican, Jeb Bush for example and the left would still be taking over and we'd all be in the dark. Pretty disgusted to varying degrees but still in the dark thinking the Intel agencies or the DOJ or the SC could come to the rescue. We see now that this will never happen. The 2 solutions are divorce or revolution but ya ain't going to overcome military equipment.

  6. Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), "Port Huron Statement" (1962)

Any new left in America must be, in large measure, a left with real intellectual skills, committed to deliberativeness, honesty, reflection as working tools. The university permits the political life to be an adjunct to the academic one, and action to be informed by reason.

A new left must be distributed in significant social roles throughout the country. The universities are distributed in such a manner.

A new left must consist of younger people who matured in the postwar world, and partially be directed to the recruitment of younger people. The university is an obvious beginning point.

A new left must include liberals and socialists, the former for their relevance, the latter for their sense of thoroughgoing reforms in the system. The university is a more sensible place than a political party for these two traditions to begin to discuss their differences and look for political synthesis.

A new left must start controversy across the land, if national policies and national apathy are to be reversed. The ideal university is a community of controversy, within itself and in its effects on communities beyond.

A new left must transform modern complexity into issues that can be understood and felt close up by every human being. It must give form to the feelings of helplessness and indifference, so that people may see the political, social, and economic sources of their private troubles, and organize to change society. In a time of supposed prosperity, moral complacency, and political manipulation, a new left cannot rely on only aching stomachs to be the engine force of social reform. The case for change, for alternatives that will involve uncomfortable personal efforts, must be argued as never before. The university is a relevant place for all of these activities.

{24} But we need not indulge in illusions: the university system cannot complete a movement of ordinary people making demands for a better life. From its schools and colleges across the nation, a militant left might awaken its allies, and by beginning the process towards peace, civil rights, and labor struggles, reinsert theory and idealism where too often reign confusion and political barter. The power of students and faculty united is not only potential; it has shown its actuality in the South, and in the reform movements of the North.

{25} The bridge to political power, though, will be build through genuine cooperation, locally, nationally, and internationally, between a new left of young people and an awakening community of allies. In each community we must look within the university and act with confidence that we can be powerful, but we must look outwards to the less exotic but more lasting struggles for justice.

{26} To turn these mythic possibilities into realities will involve national efforts at university reform by an alliance of students and faculty. They must wrest control of the educational process from the administrative bureaucracy. They must make fraternal and functional contact with allies in labor, civil rights, and other liberal forces outside the campus. They must import major public issues into the curriculum--research and teaching on problems of war and peace is an outstanding example. They must make debate and controversy, not dull pedantic cant, the common style for educational life. They must consciously build a base for their assault upon the loci of power.

{27} As students for a democratic society, we are committed to stimulating this kind of social movement, this kind of vision and program in campus and community across the country. If we appear to seek the unattainable, as it has been said, then let it be known that we do so to avoid the unimaginable.

  7. "I told you so" may not be a charming sentiment, but it can be sincere. I really was worried about Trump because I could see the danger that his bombast might be taken the way some people clearly did/still are/will continue to long into Trump's ex-presidency.
Someone just reminded me of that first great presidential untruth, the attendence figures for his inauguration. An unimportant lie, and easily verified as one; the thing that took us by surprise was Trump's refusal to be corrected. That foreshadowed the rest of his presidency. Lying to our face is nothing new; it's the stony indifference to evidence and reasoned arguments that caught some of us, me at least, so off-balance.

What do we do about that? More free speech can only work as an antidote to bad speeach when the bad speaker & his audience will engage reasonably with it. I don't know what Cortez has in mind re the media, but maybe there's a way of setting it up so it is incentivized to bring audiences together instead of fracturing them. We miss sorely the moderating influence that a broader audience used to bring to news outlets. If that's the kind of thing Cortez is hoping to encourage, I wish her well.

    6. Officials finally found a case of a dead person voting, accusing a Republican of pretending to be his dead mom to vote for Trump. Bruce Bartman, a 70-year-old from Delaware County PN, has been charged with voter fraud. He pretended to be his dead mom to vote for President Donald Trump in the 2020 election and registered his dead mother-in-law to vote, prosecutors said. Prosecutors said it was the only voter-fraud case they found after hundreds of tips. Voter fraud is extremely rare in the US, but Republicans have claimed it's a major problem and sought to pass laws restricting voting.

  9. I took a class in Philosophy, in which I habitually argued with the teacher in class. Subjects were things like "right to life," limits to free speech, basis on which laws should exist, etc. The arguments frequently became heated and almost always ended in a draw. I fully expected to fail the class with an F grade.

Not only did I not fail, I was given an A. I was stunned. I went to the teacher and asked how that happened. He smiled.

The purpose of the class, he told me, was not for him to teach us what was right, but to teach us how to think - how to use our mental faculties to arrive at our own conclusions. He said that no one in the class had worked harder in generating original thought than I had, and that was what made me his biggest success.

I know that today I would indeed have received an F, because today that course would have had the purpose of teaching us WHAT to think and not HOW to think. Schools today specifically prohibit independent thinking, which is much of why we are where we are today.

Today with the stroke of a pen he cost the US taxpayer a few billion dollars and the taxpayer received nothing in return.
I did not watch the inauguration because all the cheering from NKO, china, iran and russia would give me goose bumps.
I do wish joey four years of exceptional health but after watching him try to free a pen from it's case at the give your money away signing I have my doubts.
The unify America crowd is sincere as soon as they take the vote away from anyone associated with trump and make sure they never get a job.
