Kabuki — Definition 1 (hat tip to Bloviating Zeppelin for the graphic below):

Commenters are invited to cite other recent stories that fit the Kabuki graphic.

  1. Kabuki is a respected art form. Nothing about the Liberal Loony Left is respectable.

  2. I agree.

With all apologies to Japan and their great artists, in DC, its all kabuki.

  3. I forget where I read it, but there is a statement something about the louder you raise your voice the more unsure you are of what you are saying, something like that. Wish I could find the quote. I think Hillary's outburst may have been planned, but more likely she was truly frustrated because she had no true answer.

  4. If Hillary had worn any one of those masks during the hearing, her "thespimony" would have been far more convincing.

The masks portray far more sympathetic character traits -- and a far more attractive face -- than Hillary, as her incredibly hideous self, could ever hope to do.

Why ANYONE buys her always wretched act, I cannot imagine.

  5. I can't imagine why anyone buys any act, FT.

But the right sure are big purchasers.

Myself, I'm curious how long the fringe right is going to stay at the fair.

  6. I wonder if what's going on inside the beltway isn't much more similar to bunraku than kabuki.

  7. Everything that goes on inside The Beltway is bulshiti and pasturpi, Ducki. You know it as well as I.
