Obama's Arrogance

(Two posts today.  If you own a car, please scroll down)

At yesterday's press conference, Obama stated:
"I'm a pretty friendly guy. I like a good party," Obama said during his press conference Monday at the White House. He joked that, "now that my girls are getting older, they don't want to spend that much time with me anyway, so I'll be probably calling around, looking for somebody to play cards with."
Obama also said the following (hat tip to Infidel Bloggers Alliance):
If Congressional Republicans refuse to pay America’s bills on time, Social Security checks and veterans benefits will be delayed.
At Infidel Bloggers Alliance, Epaminondas opined
Uhm .. SOCIAL SECURITY, Mr. President is funded separately from the budget. Just because you have been raiding it’s surpluses until now, to fund Solyndra and trips by Michelle to the Costa Del Sol does not give you the ability to hold those funds to get the people to blame republicans for TRYING to have SOME TINY degree of responsibility.

TINY....
Ever since re-elected, Obama's arrogance has been growing by leaps and bounds.  Expect more of the same for the next four years.

We have a demagogue as President of the United States.

  1. Only a Chicago 'politician' could turn a financial debate in a hostage situation, like a spoiled kid "My way or the Highway."

  2. At yesterday's press conference, Obama also said about Congress: “They order me to spend," he said. "They tell me: ‘You need to fund our Defense Department at such-and-such a level. You need to send Social Security checks. You need to make sure that you are paying to care for our veterans.’ They lay all this out for me, and--because they have the spending power--and so I am required by law to go ahead and pay these bills.”

Ahem. According to our Constitution, that is the way that our form of government is supposed to work.

    And what about THIS FACT:

The Obama administration issued $236 billion worth of new regulations last year, according to a report from a conservative think tank.

The analysis from the American Action Forum, led by former Congressional Budget Office Director Douglas Holtz-Eakin, found that the administration added $216 billion in rules and more than $20 billion in regulatory proposals in 2012. Complying with those rules will require an additional 87 million hours of paperwork, the report said.

The group put the total price tag from regulations during Obama’s first term at more than $518 billion.

American Action Forum credited the administration for erasing $2.5 billion in regulatory costs last year, but said that paled in comparison to $34 billion in regulatory compliance costs reported by top companies since 2009....

As Will mentioned above: a Chicago 'politician'.

    Yep, we live in AmeriKa.

  3. One, we haven't had a budget in nearly over three years. Two, because The One has never worked in the business world, he doesn't know that budgets are spending guidlines only. Management can always decide that departments should spend less than their budget.

  5. American politics overall has become more demagogic. President Obama is just the latest avatar.

Republican presidents since Reagan have been doing whatever they damn well please, following in the footsteps of Wilson and FDR, and now the chickens are coming home to roost.

The imperial president is out of the bottle, and I doubt there will be any stuffing him back in.

I predict future presidents wielding even more power and defiantly daring anyone to stop them.

We The People are reaping what we have sown.

  6. He is "demanding" that they pass the resolution.

I say shut the government down. I am sick to death of the idiot Republicans passing these bills on his promise to cut spending.

  7. Lib,

Really? Obama's arrogance? Congress approved the spending and now as political grandstanding are denying paying it back. I call that cynical arrogance.

What approval? Obama and the Dems haven't passed a budget in 3 years.

Anyone who advocates this insane, immoral, self-serving approach to governance shall be subject to impeachment, removal from office, declared an Enemy of the State, and put on trial for treason guaranteed -- a ritualized formal process guaranteed to end with the televised execution of the perpetrator or perpetrators of this vile, impure, unjust, socially destructive policy.

  10. We're on vacation, but I did hear Obama yesterday. He sickens me with his arrogance. What a pathetic human being he is. He has no plan for improving the situation, all he does is (as Rush Limbaugh noted) portray anyone who does not agree with him as an enemy, as something to wipe off his shoe.

  11. Nice comparison to il Duce there. Benito Musselini ended up hanging from a lamp post, his corpse in tatters from being attacked by an angry mob.

Musselini, for you youngsters, turned Italy from a democracy to a dictatorship and allied with Germany during the Second World War, which ended with Italy in ruins. We had to batter and bomb our way through, fighting Germans all the way, and Italian cities were rubble by the end of it.

When "Il Duce's" power was finally at an ebb and the pissed off Italians could take him down at last, they did so with a vengeance.

    Now we have Obama......

  12. "May Obama realize the same fate that ultimately overtook both Il Duce and Der Fuehrer!"

So Mr. FT wishes that the US president is murdered by an angry mob or that he will commit suicide?

What strange little minds you guys have.

Most normal people would just look forward to the end of his second term and not hope for treason against our country or a tragedy that would leave his two daughters fatherless.

But I am here at a conservative blog, am I not?

So why should I expect to read anything less than a hoped for treasonous murder of a US president or the death of a father by suicide, because you disagree with his politics?

  13. The president's POLICIES, Ms. Shaw -- and particularly the insufferably arrogant, high-handed methods he uses to strong-arm them into being -- are clearly ruinous to the best economic interests of the nation and us individual citizens. His internationalistic goals are aimed at undermining our sovereignty and our ability to defend ourselves. His aims and methods are clearly unconstitutional and, therefore, treasonous.

Though you may not want to see it for yourself -- or cannot, because a heavy emotional and intellectual commitment to the crypto-Marxist agenda has rendered you willfully blind -- our president is functioning splendidly as a figurehead for vested interests every bit as inimical to the health and strength of this nation as National Socialism was to the Third Reich and to sunny, warm, brown, old Italy -- and Bolshevism was to Russia and her one-time satellites, themselves the victims of brutal aggression.

IF the people of this nation ever woke up and were able to comprehend the terrible harm visited on them by the Stealth Revolution successfully fomented by decades of insidious intellectual aggression and manipulation by shadowy power brokers behind the scenes, the results would be cataclysmic.

The truth, however, can be disguised as falsehood just so long. Very frankly I hope I will no longer be around when the second American Revolution finally arrives -- as surely it must, if our rights as a free, self-determining people are ever to be restored to us.

The event will be ugly, and probably devastating, as all such actions tend to be, but in my never humble opinion the longer its advent is delayed, the uglier and bloodier the consequences are apt to be.

Without a second American Revolution, all I can say is "Welcome to Trireme Amerika, here's your oar. Now start rowing and don't stop, or you'll be thrown overboard to help feed the sharks."

    ReplyDelete
  14. Calling for the death of the President of the United States or hoping he'll kill himself--those are the sentiments you, Mr. FT, expressed here.

And you claim that because I read about your fervent hopes with horror, I'm heavily emotionally committed to Mr. Obama?

I say this with as much respect as I can muster, but, Mr. FT, people who advocate for murder of US presidents or hope to see a human being kill himself are usually the sort of folks who have emotional problems, not I.

So you're in fellowship with the likes of Ted Nugent and Donald Trump as people who hope to destroy America in order to save it? Most overly excitable people believe this is how to solve problems.

    ReplyDelete
  15. "I say this with as much respect as I can muster, but, Mr. FT, people who advocate for murder of US presidents..."

I'll add that it is also against the law. Mr. Obama is the president, elected twice by the people, a God-forbid any US president would meet such a fate

FreeThinke is a good guy, but like all of us, he can get caught up in the moment sometimes...

  16. "We have a demagogue as President of the United States."

Worse than that, We have the "Affirmative Action" President. He was elected to office without the credentials or the experience neccessary for the office by an electorate to stupid and to reliant of the government dole to care what harm he would do. He was NEVER vetted by the press or anyone else except for a few conservative bloggers and Fox News. We was NOT held to the same standards as ANY of the other men and women running for the same office from either party. He is the epitomy of "Affirmative Action!" That program was bad enough in the workplace, but this is thousands of times worse.

Go ahead kenawee or libturd, tell us how he was SOOOO ready for the job. You can't! His ONLY experience was as a part-time state senator who only knew how to "vote" "present."

    ReplyDelete
  17. Mr. Fouts, you're new around these here parts, aren't you? So, how could you possibly know me well enough to make a judgment like that?

Once again, here's exactly what I said in two brief follow up posts to my first set of remarks, which you should have recognized as a wry, satirical twist on Orwell (see above):

"May Obama realize the same fate that ultimately overtook both Il Duce and Der Fuehrer! ... AND Mr. and Mrs. Ceacescu!"

I said that as an immediate post script to the first, much wittier set of observations, and followed it with a fairly lengthy explanation of why the president deserves to end up despised, rejected and ruined.

IF the estimable, nimble-brained Ms Shaw were THINKING instead of merely indulging in typical knee-jerk reactions to anything that could be drawn out of context and seized upon for chastisement, castigation and condemnation, she would have understood that taking my remarks literally was downright foolish, because it is quite impossible for any villain -- no matter how heinous -- to be mutilated by a mob, hanged from a lamp post, executed by machine gun fire, AND commit suicide all at once.

Put that way it sounds awfully silly, you'll have to admit. ;-)

No! No! No! NO! What I meant -- which any reasonable person not blinded by impassioned prejudice or some diabolic legalistic turn of mind surely could see -- is that Mussolini, Hitler and the equally contemptible Ceacescus were subjected to CATEGORICAL REJECTION by their own people AFTER their ruinous policies virtually destroyed their nations.

Our illustrious Demagogue-in-Chief is in the process of doing exactly that to US as we type.

Knowing that, as I surely as I do, because I UNDERSTAND WHERE his POLICIES are BOUND to LEAD, how could I possibly wish him well?

I do hope, of course, that he may soon experience an EPIPHANY -- realize how wrong he's been all his life, and reverse course before it's too late -- but I'm morally certain that's unlikely to happen, unless and until hell freezes over -- or the poles burst into flame.

Now be of good cheer -- both of you -- and STOP being so DEADLY SERIOUS. It can't be good for your health.

    ~ FreeThinke

  18. Mr. FreeThinke,

I did try to cast your remarks in a charitable light, but can't you see how others would draw the conclusion that Ms. Shaw has drawn?

By all means, I wish President Obama everything he has coming to him, but God forbid any US official meet the fate of Mussolini, Hitler or the Ceausescus.

Their crimes were orders of magnitude greater than anything any president in our history, including Mr. Obama, has done.

Please note that I also said I did not think you truly meant harm to anyone, so I am not beyond reading people's remarks in context, but you statement did stand by itself and look quite strident and harsh.

And please rest assured that I am of good cheer, but some matters are beyond even joking about.

  19. More demagoguery:

Obama plans to surround himself with children during gun control announcement

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney announced this afternoon that President Obama will unveil a “concrete package” of gun control proposals including assault weapons bans, high capacity ammunition magazine bans, and closing loopholes on background checks.

Carney said that the president will be joined by Vice President Joe Biden as well as children who wrote to the president after the Newtown shootings.

“They will be joined by children around the country expressing their concerns about gun violence and school safety, along with their parents,” Carney confirmed

And will the republicans concerned about the founding documents then bring out the exhumed remains of Jefferson, and Madison?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Texas Republican Rep. Steve Stockman threatened Monday afternoon that he would file articles of impeachment against President Barack Obama if he institutes gun control measures with an executive order.
Stockman warned that such executive orders would be “unconstitutional” and “infringe on our constitutionally-protected right to keep and bear arms.”
“I will seek to thwart this action by any means necessary, including but not limited to eliminating funding for implementation, defunding the White House, and even filing articles of impeachment,” Stockman said in a statement.
The man who is currently occupying “our” White House is putting his desire in motion to take away the firearms based on their words about saving the lives of children/students. He and his bunch of Progressive useful idiots tell us that to save the lives of those innocent children, guns must be taken out of the hands of the people in the country.
They are Hypocrites. They are lying as they know very well that the numbers of students murdered in this country each year by firearms by deranged individuals pale compared to the number of babies murdered in abortion clinics. Since 1/1/2000, less than 15/year were murdered by firearms (Wikipedia) compared to 1,206,192/year who were murdered by abortionists (mccl.org) and if the politicians were truly concerned about the lives of their constituents, they would be honest and take a different tact.
They are Hypocrites. They know that Israel has had armed guards in every school since 1970 and not one student has been shot since. Our brilliant politicians ignore success.
They are Hypocrites. They are being deceitful as they want to be protected by armed guards and want us to be left unprotected when someone, uninvited, ends up in our homes. Despite launching a gun control agenda that threatens to disarm the American people, President Obama has signed a bill that would afford him armed Secret Service protection for life.
They are Hypocrites. They desire to take our firearms away and give firearms to Mexican drug dealers. If taken from us, will our guns end up in the hands of other drug dealers in other countries?
They are Hypocrites. They are setting up God-fearing, law abiding, America-loving, tax-paying people to fight against the government for their rights, those rights given to us by God and the documents that were so wisely written. As stated in that famous document written on July 4, 1776, this government has been “deaf to the voice of Justice”.
For those of you whom are unarmed and have nothing to worry about now, please pray for those of us who believe it necessary to fight for our Liberty, pray for wisdom on how to battle that which is called Tyranny, and pray that God will continue to prevail and that He will continue to bless America.

  35. From Mr. FOUTS: "I did try to cast your remarks in a charitable light, but can't you see how others would draw the conclusion that Ms. Shaw has drawn?"

In the interests of preserving freedom of expression I make deliberate, concerted effort to say things one is not "supposed" to say, and to do so in a pointedly provocative manner.

Caving in to the dictates of Political Correctness -- a powerfully evil leftist initiative -- is tantamount to cutting off one's own testicles.

ALSO from Mr. Fouts: "By all means, I wish President Obama everything he has coming to him, but God forbid any US official meet the fate of Mussolini, Hitler or the Ceausescus."

Why would you say that, IF in fact an American official DESERVED such a fate -- as those benighted European despots surely did?

Never let your enemies define you -- and never EVER try to appease them.

    DEFY them.

    DENOUNCE them.

    If possible, CONVERT them.

If conversion is not possible, you must DESTROY them -- or DIE in the attempt.

Then we could take over, fund the military and very little else, build a death trap of a wall along our border with Mexico that no one would dare even approach, boot all the illegals back out, put all the welfare cheaters back to work in the garment industry, stop buying crap from China, and I'm not even on drugs. We can all dream like that, and do it substance-free. We could even make it a reality if we really wanted to.

Posted by Jim Hoft on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 9:03 AM

Kesha Rogers released a video recently – “Obama is of the personality of an Emperor Nero or Adolf Hitler.”

  43. Let's think about another failure that Bath House Barry has managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory: Race relationships.

We were doing really good in the race relationship field. I know that when I went into the Marine Corps in '65, we were told IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that the only color in the Corps was GREEN. It worked there and it worked in my civilian life. (For me, it still does... unless the other party just doesn't want it to work.)

Then, along comes The Chosen One. He's managed to tear apart in less than four years what it took us about a hundred years to build on.

Sometimes it's difficult to follow you and your extremist rightwing compatriots, Mr. Free Thinke. Since his election in 2008, the right has characterized Mr. Obama as the most radical president this country has ever had, that he would change the very nature of our government. By your definition, that makes him a patriot in the tradition of our founding fathers.

But you say you're a radical too!

Here's the definition of a radical:

    Adjective
(esp. of change or action) Relating to or affecting the fundamental nature of something; far-reaching or thorough.
    Noun
A person who advocates thorough or complete political or social reform.

My brand of radicalism is virtually identical with that of the Founders, Ms. Shaw. They favored LIBERTY and a WEAK central government.

Mr. Obama's most closely resembles that of Marx, Engels, Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Gramsci, the Frankfurt School, Alinsky and The New York Intellectuals of the 1940's.

They advocated the establishment of DICTATORSHIP implemented by the tightest possible grip on the reins of Centralized Power and the uncompromising suppression of individual rights.

Children should not be used as political props. But then again, that's Obama's style.
