President Obama said the whole "birther" controversy was a distraction from other more important things. That's just the way he wanted it.
The Obama administration is certainly adept at one thing — using sleight of hand.

Obama milked the birther issue for all it was worth and would have continued to do so had it not been for a showing in more polls questioning his legitimacy.

He said the media was obsessed about the issue and was not reporting on the economy. The media was reporting on the economy 10X's as much as the birther issue. I agree with you, this was a concern for him. The one thing he doesn't want them to report on is the economy.

AOW, I am convinced that Obama let the controversy ride so long as a smokescreen to his other nefarious activities. Let's debate the BC rather than $5 a gallon gas prices! It worked quite well for a long time.

SEALs did it early morning May 1 after a week of rehearsals. One son is also dead while two wives and several other children were arrested by Pakistani forces.
ReplyDeleteGod bless the troops and intelligence people that pulled this off. I've heard more than a few people say that "the head of the snake has been cut off". I don't want to minimize this important event, but I believe that Bin Laden was just one head of the Hydra. Many more heads have to be cut off before the monster is dead.
