Trump's Original Sin...
The rest of the above title: Forget Russiagate, TRUMP CREATED THE COVID VACCINE, Yeah, That's The Ticket.
Well, at least now, perhaps the truth about the dangers of the COVID vaccines will be allowed to come out. All the law suits that will be flying around will be an outcome, of course. Get ready for the storm.

RBG's Own Words
Ruth Bader Ginsburg's words — in 2016...
Another flashback — again, from 2016 (hat tip to Mike's America)...
As Mike's America opined on September 19, 2020:
Here's What RBG Said About Filling a SCOTUS Vacancy in an Election Year: “There’s nothing in the Constitution that says the President stops being President in his last year.” https://t.co/Awim0Ww6fF

Like Obama, Trump has the duty under the Constitution to appoint a successor. The Senate has the power to confirm.

Comment Of The Day
September 16, 2020 comment made by Baysider at GeeeZ on Z's excellent post "WHY TRUMP DOES BETTER… look at the comparisons!":
...De Blasio says, with all the people leaving NYC, that we need to raise taxes on the rich AND “we have to redistribute income.” How about YOURS, your honor? He just announced he’d furlough his salary, but I suspect it’s a rebound from the terrible optics of “redistributing income.” To quote from his Wikipedia page: he did “a brief stint as a campaign manager for Charles Rangel and Hillary Clinton …[and] started his career as an elected official on the New York City Council. So your career never took you into the real world of working for a living.
If you have time, it is worth your time to see why Z stated that Trump does better. Read Z's post HERE.

Plus, he said restaurants would continue to be closed for indoor dining (only very reduced sidewalk dining), because dining out was “an activity for middle- and upper-income New Yorkers.” Really? Are these higher income folks the ones who 1) shop for the menu, 2) deliver food and supplies, 3) cook the food 4) serve the food, 5) bus the dishes, 6) wash the dishes, 7) clean up the restaurant, 8) ferry diners to the restaurant, 9) service the equipment, and 10) grow the food in the first place? CLUELESS!!
We hear stories of people who stayed not working because the combined state and federal unemployment benefit (of which I received ZERO) was more than their salary. Then I ran into one. My locksmith had to furlough his helper in April. When he could work again and asked him to come back to work, he did not want to – and didn’t. It was because he made a lot more in gov’t $$$....

| The flight paths of the 9/11 hijacked planes |
From the YouTube blurb:
A slideshow tribute to the events of September 11, 2001. Focus is on people, their connection with the towers, past and present, and not simply a play by play of news footage. Communicating the full range of expression from terror to sacrifice, compassion, and sacrifice...as well as the ways in which people responded as friends, neighbors and as Americans. Set to Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings, which was played at Ground Zero during the memorial service the same week as the tragedy.

What Government Health Care Looks Like
![]() |
| Silverfiddle Rant! |
Headlines:
Obama Admin didn't Replenish N95 Mask Stockpile
Trump Admin Wasted Months
We have government agencies that--regardless of president or party--are charged with carrying out plans and policies crafted by congress and signed by the president. Clearly, our government was caught flat-footed by the Wuhan Virus, first and foremost thanks to the the lying Chinese Communist Party, abetted in their face-saving lies by the World Health Organization.
Still, that excuse only goes so far. Our government is supposed to have plans and stockpiles for such events. Like most catastrophes, the after-action reporting on this debacle will have many factors that played out in a horrible comedy of errors.
Please read this:
Inside the coronavirus testing failure: Alarm and dismay among the scientists who sought to help
Here are the lowlights from this tale of frustration, told by scientists and doctors at clinics, labs and hospitals attempting to navigate the US government's Soviet-era style bureaucracy:
"We have the skills and resources as a community but we are collectively paralyzed by a bloated bureaucratic/administrative process," Marc Couturier, medical director at academic laboratory ARUP in Utah, wrote to other microbiologists on Feb. 27 after weeks of mounting frustration.A scientist named Greninger describes trying to submit his test for government approval:
Greninger channeled his energy into the paperwork problem, spending more than 100 hours filling out forms and collecting information needed for the application, he told The Post. But when he finally submitted the material, an FDA official told him the agency could not accept it - because he had emailed it.
"We received your email and attachments regarding the UW 2019-nCoV assay pre-EUA," an FDA official wrote on Feb. 20. "However, we have not received the official submission through DCC."
"What is the DCC?" Greninger wrote back.
"The Document Control Center," came the reply.
"What is the Document Control Center?"
Greninger then learned about another requirement. Under FDA rules, he was supposed to digitally copy the electronic documents he had emailed to the FDA, burn the copies onto a disk and mail the hard disk to an office in suburban District of Columbia.
Greninger shared his exasperation in a Feb. 20 email to a colleague: "repeat after me, emergency."Please read the article and give us your thoughts.

Trump v. Corona Hysteria
![]() |
| Silverfiddle Rant! |
Always Trumper Roger Kimball has written the best summary to date of how rabid partisans have hijacked the non-partisan Corona Virus outbreak and are now driving it like a flaming crazy train aiming to damage the president.
Democrats have firmly positioned themselves to gain politically if this turns deadly, and that's not a good look.
This is a serious issue, the President took action in January, and the screamers called him a reactionary racist. Meanwhile, the nation's non-partisan, pre-planned actions are being carried out by the CDC. The same plans and same CDC that existed when Obama was president, but Democrats and their partisans in the press are determined to fan the flames of panic and damage the president.
Here are my favorite excerpts from Kimball's entertaining and concise statement of facts:
"...the White House press corps resembles a flock of bad-tempered schoolchildren, lazy and slightly dim, but from fancy families so firm in their sense of entitlement and outrage."What say you?
The press gaggle, desperate to find something to blame the president for, kept repeating the same questions, fighting to frame ‘gotcha’ remarks, and appearing exactly like they are: snotty, ill-prepared hacks whose goal is not to report and inform, but play smarmy partisan games. The president, just back from a trip to India, looked tired but commanding. The press looked small, sweaty, petulant.
The public saw a president who, in his concern for the welfare of the American people, communicated sober competence and steady confidence. They also saw a press swept away by extraordinary delusions and partisan madness."

Thank You, President Trump!
A few weeks ago, around 8:45 A.M., I announced to Mr. AOW: "I'm headed upstairs to work on our tax return."
Mr. AOW replied in a downcast voice: "I won't be seeing you till tonight. And you'll be in a terrible mood."
That pattern — work on taxes for hours on end (data entry into Quicken, into customized categories for both my business and our medical expenses), followed by becoming the grouch of the year — has held for over a decade.
That is, until the tax reform law that President Trump sponsored took full effect.
At 11:45 A.M., I joyfully danced down the stairs. Mr. AOW was in shock — pleasant shock. I was ecstatic. I love that provision for the increased standard deduction.
Thank you, President Trump!
Another reason to thank President Trump... Public charge': Trump enforces rule linking immigrant welfare use to green card chances. Excerpt below the fold (emphases mine).

Oh, Those Sad Faces At MSNBC!
Why are their faces so sad? Because they hadn't yet been given the repeat-these-words-like-parrots directions for the spin on the targeted killing of Qassem Soleimani?

Wherever Iran has sent its expeditionary Quds Force to war — in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Yemen — there you would find Soleimani.
[...]
He also set up a far-flung financial empire, reportedly taking a percentage of the float on all foreign currency exchange from Iraqi banks, netting close to $1 billion per month in black money to finance his terror empire.
[...]
His many brushes with death and his outrageous terror rap sheet, which is longer than bin Laden’s, led Soleimani and his supporters to consider him invincible. His demise at the hands of US forces on Thursday not only shows that is not the case but that the aura of invincibility of the regime itself is over....
So, what is your take on the repercussions of the killing of Qassem Soleimani?

How the West was Lost
![]() |
| Silverfiddle Rant! |
"Matthew is a highly decorated Green Beret who is being tried for killing a Taliban bomb maker," the president wrote. "We train our boys to be killing machines, then prosecute them when they kill!"
-- President Trump
From Fox News:
President Trump has granted clemency to two Army officers accused or convicted of war crimes and restored Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher to the rank of chief petty officer after he was docked a pay grade after being convicted of posing for a photo with a dead Islamic State (ISIS) fighter, the White House announced Friday. Our military must be a professional fighting force, not a marauding band of undisciplined Mongols, and our training at every level hammers that home. For this reason, we have Geneva Convention and Law of Armed Conflict training, and severe punishment for violations.
Having said that, are our Rules of Engagement too strict? Have Western Powers improperly injected too much liberal humanitarianism into the norms of waging war?
Is our government's concept of war outdated?
Military victory in Iraq or Afghanistan was never, in fact, a real possibility. The very nature of war has changed so much in recent decades that military victory as we tend to imagine it, with winners and losers emerging after a fight with an unambiguous end, is utterly obsolete.” (The Myth of Victory)
For whatever hidden motives, our government consciously decides to jump into unwinnable wars, and will never provide the materiel and manpower to even try to win those wars. This sets up a sick dynamic with the military services, because most military people, by their nature, thrill to the prospect of doing the impossible against all odds.
I could end with fill-in-the-blank platitudes, but I've already bored everyone with them over the years, so I'll end instead with a question:
Can We The People do anything about this, and if so, what?

"IMPEACH! IMPEACH!" (With Addendum)
But why?
Here's the reason...
The Disturbing Reason Why the Dems Really Want to Impeach Trump: Why they want to impeach even if it means losing in 2020 by Daniel Greenfield (aka Sultan Knish). One paragraph therefrom:
Lefties have made it very clear that they would rather, practically or symbolically, reverse the results of the 2016 election than focus on winning in 2020 because of the larger principle at stake. The second part of the principle appears in every media piece pushing impeachment. It hinges on President Trump’s alleged unfitness for office. The first part of the principle is the unfitness of the voters to choose leaders.
ADDENDUM
From Adam Schiff should be forced to take oath before every hearing:
For three years now, Democrats have threatened to impeach President Trump for not taking seriously enough the efforts by foreign governments to meddle in our 2016 elections.Read the rest HERE.
Then evidence surfaces revealing Mr. Trump’s earnest effort to confront a foreign government and pressure them to investigate and turn over information about their meddling in the 2016 elections.
Now Democrats want to impeach Mr. Trump for that.
In other words, Democrats today want to impeach Mr. Trump for doing what they say they have wanted him to do for three years.
[...]
The whole thing quickly devolved into another comical farce when Rep. Adam B. Schiff, California Democrat and “intelligence” chairman, kicked off the hearing by setting aside the just-released transcript of the telephone call between Mr. Trump and the president of Ukraine. He chose instead to read an entirely made up, fraudulent and fabricated transcript of a call that never occurred....

...The Democrat Party has gone from being merely a political enemy and morphed into a mortal enemy not just of the GOP and conservatives, but of the nation as founded, its distinct culture, traditions, heritage and its people. The spectacle over the last few days that we have had to endure, which is solely and wholly at the feet of the Democrat-Media Complex, will go down as a low point in our history, naturally depending upon who gets to write that history. For me, almost as repulsive as having to listen to the effluent coming from the flapping castanets of the Febrile Four Females of "The Squad" aka "The Aristocrats!" are the fools, stooges and confederates of the anti-Trump persuasion who cast equal if not more blame on this President and by extension the majority of the American people.Read the rest HERE.
President Trump has rightly called them out in the plainest of terms for who and what they are and what they have said, vis a vis the bald-faced lies about or immigration and detention policies and more generally the nation and its citizens....The attitude and meaning of the phrase "America, love it or leave it" is unambiguous, and the only crime in Trump saying what amounts to that sentiment is that for far too long it has gone unsaid....

...When did you know there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia?
If the answer, as many, including Andrew C. McCarthy [See THIS], are indicating, is somewhere in Fall 2017, what in the Sam Hill was Mueller doing putting the country through two years of prolonged agony? It's not likely he did all this to prop up CNN's faltering ratings.
Was it, just by chance, to induce obstruction from one Donald J. Trump who -- like a relatively normal person but with a shorter fuse than most, justifiable in this case -- would react like a stuck pig to being falsely charged for so long? That would have been essentially entrapment....

[cross-posted to Infidel Bloggers Alliance]
A comment found on blog rounds the morning after the Mueller Investigation was concluded and a comment which sums up my own thoughts....
Commenter LL's evaluation as stated at Lone Star Parson:
Mueller, in the end, after making his retirement money (for himself and his cronies), and lacking ANY evidence, finally folded his tent and the aspirations of the Deep State and the Corrupt Media are weeping (more) bitter tears. The Russia collusion narrative is dead even though pawns like Adam Schiff (D-CA) will continue to beat the drum because it's the only drum they have.
Russia, military in decline, reduced to a regional power with a nuclear arsenal, is doing its best to follow a Russia First agenda, and why shouldn't they? China is having some money problems but it's still promoting its belt road agenda, and the US is energy and food independent, steel industry back in business.
President Trump has revealed disastrous trade deals with China, Japan, Korea and Europe is re-mapping how business is to be done and the Deep State trembles. All that money in bribes stopped. All those plans to weaken the US have been put on hold. Such a pity -- all that plotting, waiting and hoping that somebody like Beto or the fake Indian will capture the imagination of the voters. Somebody who can read the message of his/her handlers from a teleprompter the way that Barack did.
Last year, one of my clients, a dyed-in-the-wool member of the Democrat Party, said to me, with feigned sorrow, "I'm sorry. But Trump is going to be removed from office." You see, she really believed the drumbeat she heard every day on MSNBC and The View.
And there are millions more like my former client.
I wonder....How long before more screaming at the sky commences?
Let the nervous breakdowns begin!

Quotation Of The Day
Some post-election thoughts....
Comment from my good friend Mustang of Old West Tales and Fix Bayonets! (emphases mine):
Nancy Pelosi said that the Democratic win of the House was “All about stopping the GOP.” Perhaps. I think it was all about stopping the will of half of the American people from realizing their hopes for our future. For those on the left who claim that their agenda was about healthcare, it is pure eyewash. The healthcare system we have now is the healthcare system adopted unilaterally by the Democrats in 2008. I should note that it was mere moments after the close of elections that Pelosi stepped to the microphone and began lying —which is something she does without batting an eye. There are unresolved issues —most of these as a result of a RINO House the day before yesterday. We won’t see a wall any time soon; we will not have a solution to the immigration problem, we will not solve the question of birthright citizenship. The can gets kicked down the lane a bit further.
There are a few things that we should remember about our political system. First, America has a very large political tent with room for all kinds of people; even a place for idiots like Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez. The second thing to remember is that the founding fathers set up the House of Representatives as a place where the voice of the people could be heard, but one in which, given the passions of politics, turns over every two years. In other words, the people can rid themselves of House idiots rather quickly. The founders intended that the Senate is a more mature, reasoned, less emotional chamber. There are snakes in the senate, of course, but they are less viperous than those in the House.
Still, I think it is interesting to note that the top of the Democratic Party in the Senate consists of Harris, Feinstein, Gillibrand, Warren, Sanders, Menendez, and Schumer. We should conclude these people represent the new face of the Democratic Party: progressive communists all.
One quick note about the Georgia gubernatorial contest. Did any of Stacy Abram’s supporters understand her platform, and did they support her for her high-taxes, anti-gun, pro-illegal immigration, sanctuary state positions? No one will support higher taxes unless they personally benefit from it. Abram’s base of support was Atlanta; they voted for her because she’s black; it is a corruption of our political system. Most black people in Atlanta, or so it seems, have forgotten what Martin Luther King, Jr., had to say about character.
Well, Trump will have his hands full, but he’s up for it … and I think he actually relishes the challenges of a radically leftist House. In fact, I think these mid-term election results suit Mr. Trump just fine. So now we begin the road to the general election in 2020. Politics, it seems, never goes away …
Already, the mainstream media's 2020 agenda is apparent as evidenced by President Trump's press conference on November 7, 2018 (the day after the 2018 midterm elections).
