(hat tip to Stogie of Saberpoint for the first graphic below)

A non-comprehensive list of deadly deeds committed by the sons of Allah in the name of Allah (most from the list below, from this October 23, 2014, article in the New York Times):

Oct. 23, 2014: New York police officer critically wounded in hatchet attack [details]

Oct. 22, 2014: Canada's parliament attacked, soldier fatally shot nearby

Oct. 20, 2014: Hit-and-Run Kills Canadian Soldier

Sept. 26, 2014: ISIS Lieutenant Tries to Coordinate Attacks in Australia

Sept. 25, 2014: Woman Is Beheaded in Oklahoma

May 24, 2014: 3 Shot Dead at Jewish Museum in Brussels

May 22, 2013: Attack Near Military Barracks in South London [UK soldier beheaded]

March 2012: Gunman Kills 7, Including 3 Soldiers, in France

November 2009, July 2011, and April 2014: Fort Hood Attacks [Yes, THREE jihad attacks on Fort Hood]

June 1, 2009: Gunman Kills Soldier Outside Arkansas Recruiting Station

Go to THIS LINK to read the details about most of the above events.

The common thread is Islam. Denial doesn't change that fact.

I'll end this post with the graphic below:

    1. Not only that, what this riciculous number will probably include are casualties in clashes with the Ottoman empire.

Please not that these were more results of the clashes of empire rather than anything to do with Islam explicitly.

The fact that you have to gin all this up is rather telling.

  3. I've asked before and I'll ask again. What's the solution? Is it, like Rep. Peter King suggests.....to deny civil liberties to American Muslims writ large through intrusive surveillance and monitoring to quote: "...find what people are thinking"?

And if it is, are we comfortable in granting this religiously based precedence to our legislators, while claiming that the current Administration is hostile to religion?

    I am not.

  4. There are only a few options of dealing with these murderous hordes:

1.) Eradicate every imaginable weapon fro the planet.

2.) Declare war on all Muslims with the only "Rule of Engagement" being to find and kill the enemy before the enemy finds and kills you.

Neither of those two options is going to happen. But, thank goodness there is a third option:

3.) Train, arm and equip commando units made up entirely of women. There is nothing a Jihadi fears more than the possibility of being killed by a woman.

These figures are a rough estimate of the death of non-Muslims by the political act of jihad.

      Africa

Thomas Sowell [Thomas Sowell, Race and Culture, BasicBooks, 1994, p. 188] estimates that 11 million slaves were shipped across the Atlantic and 14 million were sent to the Islamic nations of North Africa and the Middle East. For every slave captured many others died. Estimates of this collateral damage vary. The renowned missionary David Livingstone estimated that for every slave who reached a plantation, five others were killed in the initial raid or died of illness and privation on the forced march.[Woman’s Presbyterian Board of Missions, David Livingstone, p. 62, 1888] Those who were left behind were the very young, the weak, the sick and the old. These soon died since the main providers had been killed or enslaved. So, for 25 million slaves delivered to the market, we have an estimated death of about 120 million people. Islam ran the wholesale slave trade in Africa.

      120 million Africans

      Christians

The number of Christians martyred by Islam is 9 million [David B. Barrett, Todd M. Johnson, World Christian Trends AD 30-AD 2200, William Carey Library, 2001, p. 230, table 4-10] . A rough estimate by Raphael Moore in History of Asia Minor is that another 50 million died in wars by jihad. So counting the million African Christians killed in the 20th century we have:

      60 million Christians

      Hindus

Koenard Elst in Negationism in India gives an estimate of 80 million Hindus killed in the total jihad against India. [Koenard Elst, Negationism in India, Voice of India, New Delhi, 2002, pg. 34.] The country of India today is only half the size of ancient India, due to jihad. The mountains near India are called the Hindu Kush, meaning the ‘funeral pyre of the Hindus.’

      80 million Hindus

      Buddhists

Buddhists do not keep up with the history of war. Keep in mind that in jihad only Christians and Jews were allowed to survive as dhimmis (servants to Islam); everyone else had to convert or die. Jihad killed the Buddhists in Turkey, Afghanistan, along the Silk Route, and in India. The total is roughly 10 million. [David B. Barrett, Todd M. Johnson, World Christian Trends AD 30-AD 2200, William Carey Library, 2001, p. 230, table 4-1.]

      10 million Buddhists

      Jews

Oddly enough there were not enough Jews killed in jihad to significantly affect the totals of the Great Annihilation. The jihad in Arabia was 100 percent effective, but the numbers were in the thousands, not millions. After that, the Jews submitted and became the dhimmis (servants and second class citizens) of Islam and did not have geographic political power.

This gives a rough estimate of 270 million killed by jihad.

Wow! The estimates are even more solid than those of the CDC for ebola containment!

    6. from wikipedia...

Although the derivation is only a possible one, some authors have proposed the meaning "Kills the Hindu" for Hindū Kush, a derivation reproduced in Encyclopedia Americana (1993):

The name Hindu Kush in Farsi/Parsi literally means 'Kills the Hindu', a reminder of the days when Indian slaves from the Indian subcontinent (whom their enslavers referred to as Hindus[7]) died in the harsh weather typical of the Afghan mountains while being transported to Central Asia.[8]
A 1958 National Geographic article "West of Khyber Pass" states that "Generations of raiders brought captive Hindus past these peaks of perpetual snow - killing many of them in the process. Such bitter journeys gave the range its name Hindu Kush - 'Killer of Hindus'".[9] The World Book Encyclopedia relates that "the name Kush, .. means Death",[10] while the Encyclopædia Britannica says "The name Hindu Kush first appears in 1333 AD in the writings of Ibn Battutah, the medieval Berber traveller, who said the name meant 'Hindu Killer', a meaning still given by Afghan mountain dwellers who are traditional enemies of Indian plainsmen (i.e. Hindus)."[11]

    7. In 47, only 1.5 million Indians died when India was partitioned. I don't think the British killed them...

The death toll of this terrible episode remains very much contested. Hundreds of thousands of people died, as Hindus and Sikhs fled to India, Muslims to Pakistan, and many others were caught up in a chaotic transition. A consensus figure of 500,000 is often used, but the sources closer to the truth give figures that range between 200,000 and 360,000 dead. By other estimates, Partition resulted in as many as 1.5 million deaths. The word genocide did not come to the minds of observers at the time, though there were genocidal aspects to what finally developed.

    Let's start with these.

The perps are all converts if they are Muslim at all.
    Most are likely mentally ill.
    None are coordinated attacks.
Islam has little to do with these murders.

So just what these constitute a blanket condemnation of Islam is obscure.

  8. About the recent jihadist in Canada:

Zehaf-Bibeau was born in 1982 and was the son of Bulgasem Zehaf, a Quebec businessman who appears to have fought in 2011 in Libya, and Susan Bibeau, the deputy chairperson of a division of Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Board. The two were divorced in 1999.

This seems to indicate that Zehaf-Bibeau (1) was not a recent convert to Islam and (2) was the son of a jihadist (or, at least a Libyan "rebel," whatever that means.

Look. I understand all this talking about many of these jihadists being mentally unstable. However, the same excuse over and over is wearing thin -- to say the least.

What also comes to mind as I rush off to do something else is the following: which came first: the mental instability or adherence to Islam? In other words, can Islam create mental instability?

Variation on "Which came first -- the chicken or the egg?"

Is it possible that the mentally unstable are drawn to Islam?

Now, off I go. Bills to pay.

    4. I wouldn't call it an excuse. Several off the recent murderers were clearly unstable.

The one in Missouri is an example.

The Fort Hood shooter, the jerk in Australia, the shooter in Belgium seemed to operate under a legitimate religious fanaticism. It's a fanaticism that needs to be resisted.

However, just saying "Islam sucks" isn't going to get us anywhere.
Too many Muslims all over who are just trying to live their lives and raise their families without threatening anyone.

Violence is hardly an exclusive Muslim construct.

And the Islamic State has called for such attacks -- attack with anything that could possibly be used as a weapon.

All this blabbing to say that it seems like a very strong coincidence.

    None are coordinated attacks.
Islam has little to do with these murders."

"[pretty unstable." "clearly unstable"...and that's just from today's comments above; that's all your writings, not mine.

As for ALIENATION, I absolutely agree with you. Something has come very deep into our culture and while I don't believe that has anything to do with the muslim terrorists, I do think the school shootings, shooting cops, etc etc , are signs of that.

I believe using the term TERRORis valid. Particularly when we're brave enough to stop being so ridiculously PC and admit it's MUSLIM TERROR. Going to deny there IS Muslim terror?

Ducky, I think we've screwed over our kids by introducing information in their lives far too young; I think the constant racial/economic division Obama and Holder have promoted since his election has put back race relations maybe 25 years, I think hearings like that ridiculous Darryl Issa had again this morning are costly and a total waste of time and it's only GOTCHA politics, people being on edge financially, an entertainment media that pushes perversion and immorality on kids is sickening... the drumbeat of favoring islam over Christianity (wait, you don't DO that, ducky? really? :-)) , etc etc....sickening.
Ruining our country, and I don't see it getting better.

The brilliant Finntann wrote this to you above: "Didn't I hear you say that the last time a fundamentalist Christian killed an abortion doctor? No wait.... I didn't.

Why not? Why do you feel the need to be an apologist for Islam for acts that if committed by fundamentalist Christians would have you apoplectic."

Ducky, for you to deny he's right is to deny everything you've ever written at my blog or AOW's over the last ten years...

We need to promote love of country again in our country, particularly for CHILDREN; they need strength, a BASE, a foundation of feeling good about where they live. By the way, no other country teaches its children to look for only the bad in their founding fathers, not read the constitution, favor multiculturalism, etc etc. NONE. Except maybe Germany because of WWII.
Our kids are dying because they have nothing GOOD TO EMULATE.

ya, we have a huge, deep problem here.
You know who I put at least 75% of the blame on.

Meanwhile, an Imam in Ottawa took flowers to the spot where the soldier was killed this morning... "we're all Canadians and it's my duty". A few Muslim young women were crying at the spot.

I'm not as trusting as you are.

The problem is what the Quran says -- particularly in its "new testament."

Do all Muslims adhere to what and/or act upon what those "new testament" verses say? No. Of course not. But the ideology is there.

People can be "nice people" and still believe in a hate-filled ideology. After all, Hitler was a delightful dinner guest.

    See what I mean?

I've never said that I have an answer as to what to do about all this -- except to draw the line and hold fast to freedom of expression (in the sense of understanding that our Constitution is not shari'a-compliant). Muslims who want to live under strict shari'a need to go to the Islamic state and live there.

  22. Update on the Islamomaniac who attacked the Canadian Parliament last week:

TORONTO (AP) - A gunman who shot and killed a soldier at Canada's national war memorial and then stormed Parliament before he was gunned down had prepared a video recording of himself that police say shows he was driven by ideological and political motives, police said Sunday.

  23. For those who have never actually sat across from Islamic jurists (I have a long standing friendship with a Mufti and have friendships with Shari'ah lawyers) let me just set the record straight:

    Stoning for adultery is allowed
Concubinage (in time of war) is allowed
Cutting of hands is allowed (not for petty theft but for grand larceny)
    Arranged marriages are allowed
    Etc.

Islamic laws are complex and of the four Sunni schools of thought/maddhab the Hanafi scholars appear to lean more toward leniency on some issues.

Islamic law (Usool al-FIqh) is based on Islamic text, Sunnah (actions, sayings and behavior of their leader), Ijmaa' (consensus) and Qiyaas (laws made by deduction where no real proof is found in the aforementioned three sources.

The Shi'a disallow Qiyaa but they allow rulings made based on the concept of intellect - what a reasonable jurist would allow. When looking at basic things like workers compensation in Saudi Arabia, a women receives less than a man, a Christian and Jew less than a Muslim, and a Hindu less than a Jew and a Christian. Very, very complex laws are at play in Islam. The law is not equal and the deck is stacked against non-Muslims.

I have lovely Muslim friendships. Are they constrained by the dictates of American law and culture? Perhaps not in the manner we imagine. Recently Somali Muslims in Minnesota were demanding Halal food at a food bank. This is our next big fight, one already lost by the British - the push for halal menus in public schools.

Here is the deal: Your conviction requires your sacrifice. Not mine. Period.

    Tammy
