Mexican immigrant without license accused in DUI death of Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson: Authorities try to deport Alex Cabrera Gonsales

Correction to the above: Man accused of killing Colts' Edwin Jackson, Uber driver is undocumented immigrant, has been deported twice (with thanks to commenter Fuelonda Feier below). Excerpt:
Police have confirmed that the driver who is held in the death of Indianapolis Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson and Uber driver Jeffrey Monroe was an undocumented immigrant who used a fake name and has been deported twice in the past.

Indiana State Police detectives have determined the driver was 37-year-old Manuel Orrego-Savala, a citizen of Guatemala. He gave police the alias Alex Cabrera Gonsales after the early Sunday crash that killed Jackson and Monroe.

"Orrego-Savala is in the United States illegally and has previously been deported on two occasions, in 2007 and again in 2009," Sgt. John Perrine said in a statement. "State police investigators are working with U.S. Federal Immigration Officials and they have placed a hold on Orrego-Savala."
This is the truck that the illegal alien was driving:

  1. Is there any substantial difference between a DACA person smuggling in his or her family and the odious chain migration policies established by Ted Kennedy and Chuck Schumer and enacted by the Congress? No. They both undermine sound immigration policy.

    1. How does an attempt to keep families together undermine sound immigration policy?

Chain migration is the fringe right buzzword of the week.
I doubt you can produce a factual overview of ths policy.

    2. When a foreigner applies for a visa, our government at that time should process the entire immediate family: Spouse and minor children, and then that's it.

    3. Chain migration is VERY much an issue. Before trumps "Molsem Ban", only immediate family members were considered "eligible". After the 9th circuit ruling, it's aunties, uncles, cousins and all the "extended" family members that the typical kanaka would consider. Again, since the Gay Rights successes, liberals LOVE to redefine "family".

    4. The term "Chain migration" saves us the fiction of NOT defining what "family" means.

    5. @ Ducky

Immigration policy should focus on applicant suitability for assimilation into American society. At the top of this list is economic viability and social compatibility: education, trade skills, health, likelihood of proper integration (including acceptance of and a willingness to adapt to our values and ideals). Applicants who have families, but who seek a visa only for themselves, should be at once suspect, so I agree with SF's suggestion that applicants should migrate with their immediate family or not at all. Of course, this would mean that the entire family must be evaluated for suitability. Someone looking to immigrate to the US with an unhealthy spouse or children increases the likelihood that this family will become a long-term burden to the American taxpayer. By skills, I mean to suggest someone other than another Middle Eastern cab driver. In response to your sneering comment, my suggestion would be an immigration policy that would exclude people such as you, Ducky ... you know, people with no value to American society whatsoever ...

    6. Our immigration policies prefer homosexual immigrants with AIDS... the greater the "victimhood" status... the greater the Visa priority.

  2. Looks like Groundhog Day is coming around again for DACA/Immigration Reform and a federal spending bill to "keep the government open."

Why have we had no orderly budget process for the past 10 years? Across both Demoncrap and Repube leadership?

Repubelican failure to restore a deliberate budget and spending process has left it vulnerable to Demoncrap hostage takers and radicalized leftwing bombthrowers.

The immigration piece will be interesting. President Trump laid out a sensible middle-of-the-road deal, and Americans overwhelmingly approved its broad aspirations.

I can't wait to see how the diabolical criminal geniuses in the Demoncrap party spin their fight.

    1. Fuelonda Feier,
      Thank you!

I've now added the information to the body of the blog post.

  4. Important information, AOW, thanks for sharing it here. Also, just try to buy land in Mexico as a foreigner!

I don't know why this information doesn't sink in to those who're so intent on open borders....does it make us kinder, is that the point? Is it always best to be kinder to others than to our own country? Not sure about that.

    1. Z... there has been no prohibition on foreigners buying land in Mexico, and receiving a deed for the land for years. You just have to do your due diligence and get a title search, insurance, etc. Just like in the states.

  6. The succinct blog post calls to mind just how successful progressives are at propaganda.

We have reached the point where in the minds of many, wanting immigration reform equates to "racism," or "white supremacy."

The apotheosis of this hysterical stupidity is one of America's richest, most powerful, and yes, whitest old woman, Nancy Pelosi screaming about how President Obama wants to "make America white again."

I wonder how many black and Hispanic neighbors Pelosi has up there on Snob Hill?

The Dem BS is overwhelming, and America's filters are clogged.

      POSTED AT A RIVAL BLOG:

THANK YOU! YES! It's sad, however, that America's filters are clogged, because both the ENEMEDIA and the PROSSORIAT have gained such tremendous power –– simply because of their ability to feed LEFTIST PROPAGANDA unimpeded to great masses of people insidiously, directly and indisciminately –– that these frankly evil forces have been able to CREATE and SHAPE Public Opinion –– often out of whole cloth –– while deluding their victims into believing they are somehow, thinking for THEMSELVES.

What passes for "TEACHING" today is –– with the exception of the so-called "Hard Sciences" which are largely immune to politicization –– what passes for teaching today is little but INDOCTRINATION from a Marxian, Utopian, Socialist, Internationalist, decidedly anti-CHRISTIAN, anti-AMERICAN point of view.

The more vociferously and stridently these poor duped victims deny this the more obvious the TRUTH becomes –– to those few of us left who still have the capacity to evaluate phenomena using our innate powers of perception, and to THINK CRITICALLY for OURSELVES.

One of my dearest friends is a ;efgtist who tells me all the time, "I am EDUCATED. i READ constantly."

Of COURSE she does! And THAT is the crux of the problem, because ALL she reads is LEFTIST PROPAGANDA served up as "NEWS and INFORMATION."

To say it's a problem is possibly the greatest undersament of all time.

Yes, these so-called public servants live behind their walls. In essence, they are protected in their ivory towers. Maybe we should drag them out and force them to live for a year in a working class neighborhood?
