The Islamic Version Of Women's Rights

Spew alert! Set down your beverage!

Ah, glorious Islam! PFFFFT!

From Pakistan Today (hat tip to Infidel Bloggers Alliance, emphases mine):
Council of Islamic Ideology declares women’s existence anti-Islamic

Islamabad - Sharia Correspondent: The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) concluded their 192nd meeting on Thursday [March 13, 2014] with the ruling that women are un-Islamic and that their mere existence contradicted Sharia and the will of Allah. As the meeting concluded CII Chairman Maulana Muhammad Khan Shirani noted that women by existing defied the laws of nature, and to protect Islam and the Sharia women should be forced to stop existing as soon as possible. The announcement comes a couple of days after CII’s 191st meeting where they dubbed laws related to minimum marriage age to be un-Islamic.
After declaring women to be un-Islamic, Shirani explained that there were actually two kinds of women – haraam and makrooh. “We can divide all women in the world into two distinct categories: those who are haraam and those who are makrooh. Now the difference between haraam and makrooh is that the former is categorically forbidden while the latter is really really disliked,” Shirani said.

He further went on to explain how the women around the world can ensure that they get promoted to being makrooh, from just being downright haraam. “Any woman that exercises her will is haraam, absolutely haraam, and is conspiring against Islam and the Ummah, whereas those women who are totally subservient can reach the status of being makrooh. Such is the generosity of our ideology and such is the endeavour of Muslim men like us who are the true torchbearers of gender equality,” the CII chairman added.

Officials told Khabaristan Today that the council members deliberated over various historic references related to women and concluded that each woman is a source of fitna and a perpetual enemy of Islam. They also decided that by restricting them to their subordinate, bordering on slave status, the momineen and the mujahideen can ensure that Islam continues to be the religion of peace, prosperity and gender equality.

Responding to a question one of the officials said that international standards of gender equality should not be used if they contradict Islam or the constitution of Pakistan that had incorporated Islam and had given sovereignty to Allah. “We don’t believe in western ideals, and nothing that contradicts Islam should ever be paid heed. In any case by giving women the higher status of being makrooh, it’s us Muslims who have paved the way for true, Sharia compliant feminism,” the official said.

The CII meeting also advised the government that to protect Islam women’s right to breathe should also be taken away from them. “Whether a woman is allowed to breathe or not be left up to her husband or male guardian, and no woman under any circumstance whatsoever should be allowed to decide whether she can breathe or not,” Shirani said....
Read the rest HERE, and basic information about the Council of Islamic Ideology is HERE. Note the following from the latter:
Council of Islamic Ideology (Urdu: اِسلامی نظریاتی کونسِÙ„) is a constitutional body responsible for giving legal advice on Islamic issues to the Government of Pakistan and the Parliament.
Here we are — in the 21st Century. Some of us live in the 21st Century, that is.

Now, could the article be satiric, along the lines of "A Modest Proposal" by Jonathan Swift? Probably is, and one hopes so.  Nevertheless, Islamic misogyny is real; see "Is Islam Misogynistic?", an essay by an Arab-American woman, for example.

Also, let us remember the following: if satire is to be satire, there has to be something terribly wrong, something terribly strong, so as to be worthy of satire.

Therefore, we must conclude that Islam today is predominantly misogynistic.  Disbelieve that reality at your own peril.

  1. PHTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!

It certainly sounds like a grotesque parody run amok conceived by someone who really has it in for Islam. It also sounds frighteningly plausible given the way so many of these pathetic souls freely declare a hatred of life and a love for death.

As Mama used to say, "It takes all kinds to make a world."

    And I say, "Ain't it a shame?" };-)>

  2. Muslims promote Sharia law.

Christians believe that every person has the right to choose or reject the gospel. We wouldn't think about making our faith a law superior to all other faiths. Imposing it on others as some sort of legal right we are entitled to. God forbid! In this instance you have Democrats, pro abortionists and feminists all across America crying bloody murder, saying that Limbaugh should be taken off the air for his comments in reference to Sandra Fluke . In fact, they have said things to the extent of "Fluke is just an ordinary woman, how dare he say such mean things about her?", "He should be taken off the air or apologize post haste!" (Which he did not soon after).

In the midst of this heated debate I have noticed something. I have observed how some women treat other women differently than others. I have again noticed how this behavior is widely influenced by political or societal events. I also have taken notice of the hypocrisy that it entails. What I am referring to is known as selective feminism. No doubt you have heard the comments issued forth by the right wing Political Shock Jock Rush Limbaugh in reference to Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke, and the firestorm that ensued afterwards.

These very same people have gone on to say that Republicans only want to take away their rights to contraceptives and birth control pills, and that the men, as well as the government, should keep their nose out from between their legs, which I find odd to say the least, since they want a right only the government itself can provide, and also that they allow certain men to fight for them and their "freedom." Okay, lets jump the fence here, to the other side of the political spectrum. I made reference to Fluke and Limbaugh, now lets examine David Letterman and Bill Maher, both Liberals, and their comments about Sarah Palin In June of 2009, David Letterman was caught on air making reference to Sarah Palin as a "slutty flight attendant," going on to make a less than polite joke about her underage daughter Willow!!

Couldn't you please, try to tell us something we haven't already known for many years? Have you not read Hamlet? If you had, you would have learned that "Brevity is the soul of wit." Rhetorical diarrhea damages what otherwise might have been a good case.

How could you possibly know such a thing? Have you, perhaps, joined in their depraved orgies?

    2. I was deployed over there, multiple times, and no, i did not join in. Are you nuts?

Don't take my word for it, Afghanistan's 'dancing boys' freakshow is well documented.

    3. It sure can be both ways, and it is. Committing horrible acts against homosexuals, while also engaging in that activity are not mutually exclusive. In many cultures, the 'pitcher' is not considered gay.

Khandahar has been known since time immemorial as the city where birds fly with only one wing flapping, since they use the other one to protect their rear orifice.

Final question, genius: Where would you rather be a woman, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan or any other islamic garden spot, or anywhere in Western Christendom?

  4. I would certainly hope this is satire... come on, if they outlaw woman's existence, they outlaw their own existence... in case they forgot, we have not yet invented a way to create human's from only a male.

Though, I can believe it isn't satire. Those guys all seem a little- or a lot- deranged. Too much sun, maybe?

21st century? I think they are in the SECOND century! Or maybe 21st century BC.

  5. Islamists provide a great case-in-point of why inbreeding is a very bad idea!

  6. The Left desires power at any cost, even at the cost of the death of this nation. Beyond the secular Progressive view that every group should and must remain separate and distinct, there is an active campaign by Muslim extremists to destroy Western civilization from within quietly, peacefully, and even legally. Not only is this segment of the American Muslim population not willing to be part of this culture....but their design is to topple and replace it with one beholding to sharia, and ruled not by the Constitution, but by the Koran!

Why does the left hate America, American values, and American sovereignty?

Is it simply based on stupidity?

  7. Genius Kahn says:

We have fallen into a bottomless pit of ignorance, prejudice and ill will. Only positive thinking could save us, but we are so far gone now the chances are very slim. Hatred and disapproval are not worthy substitutes for strategic thinking based on factual knowledge and true understanding of reality.
