Harvard Must Be So Proud

On November 14, 2013, Obama apologized to the nation for the non-functional Healthcare.gov web site. On November 18, 2013, Obama claimed in a conference call with OFA volunteers that "more than a 100 million Americans" have signed up for ObamaCare health-insurance plans.

Read the article and listen to the audio HERE.  Worth your time.

Another example of "mizled"?

By the way, during Obama's conference call, HealthCare.gov crashed. Yet again.

And one more thing (from CNN!)...Woman Hailed by President as Obamacare Success Story Now Can't Afford Obamacare.

  1. Some call this entitlement, but I think it’s at least as true to say that today’s college youth (the self-esteem generation) have been promised these things. They’ve been told to dream about Obama’s promises, and so they do.
They voted for Obama because he promised he wasn’t going to play the old Bush game, and voted for “Hope and Change”.
Unfortunately, I’m afraid that we’ve sold our young people a bill of goods. Their high expectations sound like a recipe for disappointment, especially if they expect it to happen before they exit their twenties!
Well, Good Luck with your insurance cancellations. Oh by the way didn’t your mothers ever tell you that "Nothing is for FREE"?
Alternatively, what we’re seeing is the idealism of youth. It will be interesting to see if they downshift their expectations once they get into the workforce.

    1. They aren't going to "get into the workforce". The workforce is shrinking. If they want to eat, they'll need to emigrate.

  3. One day after announcing he "might" change Obamacare to let people keep their present health care plans, Senators are revealing that he threatened to veto a bill to do just that.

Oh, well. So much for Presidential promises. And people wonder why I'm a Republican!

  4. The entire congress should be stopping him from playing dictator and making whatever changes he wants, when he wants to. . It's indefensible they are allowing him to do this.

  5. I hope the Republicans are not stupid enough to try to fix Obamacare. All they need to do is sit back and keep saying: "We told you so!".

    2. @ Jim

I agree that Obama Care is not a GOP problem. It was entirely created by the Democrats. But with that said, the GOP is going to have to provide some evidence of leadership in addressing our national health care issue. I do not favor single-payer healthcare, but let us also agree that whenever you have people living in the wealthiest country on the planet, unable to address their health issues, then we have a serious problem. It isn’t going to go away by letting the Democrats stew in their own juices, but worse … it does nothing to convince Americans that the GOP has valid solutions to a national problem. We might start with the cost issue; we could refuse to offer “free medical care” to illegal aliens, while denying them to our own people, and we could finally come to terms with the fact that there are 50 states who have an important role to play in providing health care to THEIR citizens.

      I strongly agree.

When 1/3 of income goes for health insurance premiums and at least another 1/3 goes to paying taxes, only 1/3 of the income remains.

Is 1/3 of incomes enough to drive the economy? I don't see how!

I don't see the GOP coming up with solutions to this serious Gordian Knot!

  7. Was that in 57 states or just 50?
No matter how many lies he is caught in, the leftists will still bow down and march in step.
Being correct is not important as long as they keep giving free stuff and billing the middle class. Has botox nancy said if she ever read the aca?

  8. From NEWSMAX yesterday:

"Just one year after President Barack Obama roundly defeated Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election, a new poll has found that a rematch today would put Romney in the Oval Office.

According to a Washington Post-ABC News poll of 1,006 adults conducted Nov. 14-17, 49 percent would back Romney compared to 45 percent who would support Obama, a flip in the 4-point popular vote loss Romney had in 2012.

The results reflect just how much support the president has lost as a result of the Obamacare debacle which has undermined public confidence in both the president and the viability of the new healthcare law.

The survey also indicates that Obama's biggest loss of support comes from women, the young, the less-educated, the poor, and among liberals.

In 2012, the president beat Romney among women voters by 11 points, but if the election were today, he would lead by only 1 point. His support among young voters has dropped from 18 percent to 2 percent since the election last year, while those with less than a college degree flipped from giving him a lead of 4 points to a deficit of 9 points.

Perhaps most surprising is that support among liberals for the president has dropped to 59 percent from 75 percent, with roughly 20 percent now saying they would vote for Romney if the election was held today.

The Post points out, however, that the survey findings cannot be definitive since there are other factors that affect the outcome of a race, including margin of error in polling and the fact that the Electoral College — not the popular vote — elects the president.

Nevertheless, an 8 point swing in the popular vote toward Romney would have given him an additional 125 electoral votes, allowing him to win the race by 331-207, or virtually the same margin as Obama's 332-206 win."

    Well, too late now!

  10. No one disputes the fact that Zimmerman killed an unarmed teen.
What is fairly certain now, after months of watching this walking time bomb threatening women and others, is that he's a disturbed individual who should not own a gun--for his own safety and the safety of people who come in contact with him.
It's too late for poor Trayvon Martin.
Where is all the anger is about is how Zimmerman's defenders smeared Trayvon Martin and his family and even claimed Martin DESERVED TO DIE.
Where was the compassion for that family who lost their son? Nowhere.
Zimmerman is a walking tragedy, but no one wants him to blow his brains out. More likely he needs to be placed somewhere where he can do no more damage to others.

Whether or not he is found guilty or innocent...This guy either has a problem or problems find him everywhere he goes and whoever he comes into contact with.
I guess this goes to show that even a dumb ass can get a fair shake in the Florida Justice system..
I think if you check, every member of the Jury would say that Zimmerman was guilty for the death of Travon Martin.
He was "Not Guilty" for the crime of murder, that doesn't mean he didn't kill him.
The fatass Zimmerman just can't stop being involved with violence of some sort, can he? One has to wonder who or what he’s going to kill next..
The fact that people couldn't look past the Martin tragedy and recognize that Zimmerman is a disturbed individual. He had a history of violent and aggressive behavior, towards blacks BEFORE the Martin death, and it has continued since the trial.
The only thing the rightwingers were interested in was triumphalism over a dead unarmed kid.

All we can do is try. We are bound to stumnble, but we should not give up till ALL possibilities have been examined and tried.

I personally am sick and tired with this stupid "Get George Zimmerman" game.
And after hearing that testimony form that Fat Lying Skank Bag Rachel Jeantel, I'm even more convinced of Zimmerman's innocence. .

  16. Sorry Debbie, Obama isn't the one the left wants to prop up ...
We're more interested in the possibilities of a nascent progressive reaction.

The problem with Obama is that he's an Eisenhower Republican trying to bring sanity (and I don't have a quarrel with honest sane Republicans) and trying to compromise with the diseased Randoids and religious insanes who populate today's right.

  17. Perhaps that $100 million figure was a Freudian slip?

A new and independent analysis of ObamaCare warns of a ticking time bomb, predicting a second wave of 50 million to 100 million insurance policy cancellations next fall — right before the mid-term elections.

The next round of cancellations and premium hikes is expected to hit employees, particularly of small businesses.

While the administration has tried to downplay the cancellation notices hitting policyholders on the individual market by noting they represent a relatively small fraction of the population, the swath of people who will be affected by the shakeup in employer-sponsored coverage will be much broader.
