  1. Just in case some of you folks haven't read it yet, I have some news right off the hot press...Meryl Streep and Frieda Pinto are set to join The First Mooch and Junior Moochers Sasha and Malia Obama for a trip to Liberia and Morocco in late June to promote the White House’s “Let Girls Learn” female education initiative.
The First Family — who will also be joined by Moochies’s mother, Mrs. Marian Robinson — will visit Margibi County, Liberia, Marrakech, Morroco and Madrid, Spain from June 27—July 1. Might as well milk the tax payers some more, before they leave office!

    1. Too bad! The bad guys –– and BELIEVE me these are VERY bad guys –– ALWAYS win by driving us into retreat. I tried very hard to start things off on an interesting, pleasantly provocative note. You saw how far THAT got us.

There MUST be a way to DEFEAT these FIENDS without spoiling freedom of expression for the few decent, thoughtful people there may be left.

I'm curious how Obama will act after he leaves office!
Just about anything Obama does these days irritates the hell out of me. And I am curious as to how he will be covered by the MSM once he leaves office. Will he go quietly into that good night like George Bush?
Ha. Ha, Not on your life. He will be shooting down President Trump at every turn, and calling for impeachment. He will be a total jerk of an ex-president. He will make Jimmy Carter look like a Genius.

    1. Perhaps the best model we have is that of Bush the Elder. Upon leaving office, for the most part he has remained out of the political fray. Clinton was unable to do that and apparently neither can GW.

Carter for many years also remained above the fray, dedicating his life to Habitat for Humanity and other like causes.

There seems to be no model, but in todays times, it may be impossible, given the need of the political parties, and an insatiable media, for Ex-Presidents to remain out of the public eye.

      Delete
    2. I doubt that Obama would like to be out of my he public eye. W shall find out soon enough.

      Delete
    3. Dave! "Neither can GW?" He's been nearly totally silent for 7 1/2 years...he might now be coming out to 'help' the Republicans with this election. That's 'unable'? 7 1/2 years of class and dignity staying out of the ridiculous fray? Hardly comparable to CLinton Cash Schemes!! I have never heard of a highly paid speech by Bush, have you? Not saying he hasn't made some, but I haven't heard of any and we can BET your liberal media would have pounced on that one...completely ignoring the Clinton capers.

Poor Carter also had that Board of Directors, most of whom walked out because of his antisemitism....on that, he would have been better SILENT.

And yes, given the insatiable media, you're right....nothing's ignored...

Obama won't stay out of the public eye.....too much MONEY TO BE MADE AS EX PRESIDENT....like CLinton.

    4. Z, just saying Bush the Elder left and stayed gone. W is getting back in the political game to try and help the GOP keep the Senate. I don't begrudge him a bit.

I'm not sure any Ex can eschew the lure of the available money.

    5. You made excellent points, Z. Thank you for saying what needed to be said so clearly.

I would only add that Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Gerald Ford –– in fact MOST ex-presidents before the crude, low-class, notoriously obnoxious, ruthlessly ambitious, childish, revoltingly self-indulgent Bill Clinton and his Bride from Hell retired from office and lived quietly ever after with no attempt to influence their successors or to recapture the limelight.

The Good Old Days really were just that –– at least as I remember them.

  4. Frustrated over how the left has 'changed' the narrative on Orlando from muslim shooter in a gay bar, fulfilling the Koran's direction to it's all about guns... sigh... How many times are we going down this road??? The reality is 49 people were killed in a gun free zone, by a radical muslim extremist, who openly proclaimed his fealty to ISIS...

    1. Actually the Quran says little about homosexuality and the attitude in Muslim cultures is not consistent. Most do not call for the death penalty.

So how is this tragedy going to inform the policy discussion in America? If we let the right control the narrative as you clearly favor it will be a matter of a wider proliferation of guns. Just what that will accomplish is unclear. In your supposed "gun free" zone the first encounter was the shooter versus an armed cop hired for security.
But there are always easy answers on the right.

The nasty left demands that we ask the question of how an individual with a clearly unstable and violent background was able to obtain a military platform firearm.
That's the question and your posturing that you know jack all about this unstable individual's motives is irrelevant.

    2. Found just now in a list of blogs to which I subscribe:

A few verses from the Quran:

      Kill Them With Stones

Quran (7:80-84) - "...For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds.... And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone)" - An account that is borrowed from the Biblical story of Sodom. Muslim scholars through the centuries have interpreted the "rain of stones" on the town as meaning that homosexuals should be stoned, since no other reason is given for the people's destruction. (Inexplicably, the story is also repeated in suras 15:74, 27:58 and 29:40).

      Special Destruction For Homosexuals

Quran (7:81) - "Will ye commit abomination such as no creature ever did before you?" This verse is part of the previous text and it establishes that homosexuality as different from (and much worse than) adultery or other sexual sin. According to the Arabic grammar, homosexuality is called the worst sin, while references elsewhere describe other forms of non-marital sex as being "among great sins."

Allah Forgives Homosexuals If They Repent

Quran (4:16) - "If two men among you are guilty of lewdness, punish them both. If they repent and amend, Leave them alone" This is the Yusuf Ali translation. The original Arabic does not use the word "men" and simply says "two from among you." Yusuf Ali may have added the word "men" because the verse seems to refer to a different set than referred to in the prior verse (explicitly denoted as "your women"). In other words, since 4:15 refers to "your women", 4:16 is presumably written to and refers to men.

Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi-Amoli of Iran said, in April of 2012, that homosexuals are inferior to dogs and pigs, since these animals (presumably) do not engage in such acts.

In November of 2012, a cleric on British television stated, "What should be done to those who practice homosexuality? Torture them; punish them; beat them and give them mental torture."

    4. Well AOW the first passage is a description of the fall of Sodom and follows the O.T. closely.

The second is consistent with the attitude toward homosexuality in many Muslim countries. The act is tolerated in private.

That's are far cry from claiming that Islam calls for the slaughter of homosexuals. It does not and in fact there is no law against homosexuality in Turkey, Jordan, Indonesia and a few other Muslim countries.

Is Islam as tolerant as America? No. In fact there are openly gay imams in America.
Does Islam demand that you walk into a gay club and start firing? No.

      Just sayin'

    6. No matter what he says Canardo is a COMMUNIST, AOW.

That means every word that comes from his mouth or fingertips must be regarded as a lie –– including the, and, but, if, and of.

I confess to borrowing that line. It was first said of the noted, prize-winning playwright Lillian Hellmann, herself, a subtly seditious, America-hating Communist who invariably used her admittedly great skill as an author to denigrate and condemn her own stereotypical, often caricature-like versions of the more successful, middle and upper-class types in American society.

Like all people of her ilk she chose to tear down confidence in, ridicule, and defame the best our country had to offer, thus discouraging impressionable people to lose trust in their natural aspirations and confidence in The American Dream altogether.

That's what leftists ALWAYS do. Like termites and other forms of pestilence they are constantly on the attack.

  7. _________ FALSE PIETY _________

A mask for self indulgence, piety
    Contains a plausible ingredient. An
    Overbearing aura of propriety
Negates what to it’s not obedient, and
    So a self-sealed system’s put in place
To exclude everything that won’t conform,
Adore, pay homage to a cell-like place
No loving person would have as a norm.
The rationale for doing what one chooses
    Brings isolation, tedium and grief.
    Indulging Self exclusively soon loses
Touch with a sound basis for belief.
    Cast aspersions, scorn, express contempt.
Hell still yawns. Zealots are not exempt.

BB, unlike most at that infamous Den of Iniquitous, Incestuous Internet-Vilification, Character-Assassination, Savage Disparagement, and Dreary Degradation where I first made your acquaintance, I have some respect for you, largely because at times you've been reasonably cordial to me at my now-defunct blog and have exhibited a keen sense of humor.

However, I wish you could see that –– like too many of us, I admit! –– you have been steeping so long in an atmosphere of relentless, heavily biased, institutionalized negativism you are no longer able to discern the difference between canned partisan talking points and truth based on honest observation of reality.

Your low opinion of Mr. Trump sounds as if it came straight out of the "can," at the offices of The New York Times, The Washington Post, et al.,the studios of CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, PBS, PBS, the Huffington Post, the Daily Kos, Buzzfash, the Nation, The New Yorker, or The Daily Worker, if it still exists.

It also echoes much that's been said –– and is still being said –– by the GOP Establishment and THEIR moronic Henchman like Bill Kristol at the National Review Online, or that fusty, dried up, outmoded Conservative Intellectual long overdue for retirement George Will.

Since I have long despised all the forces just listed, especially the GOP "Stabbies," I feel that alone gives me good and sufficient reason to support Mr. Trump.

In short the person one's enemies dislike most is usually the person best able to defend one's best interests.

Mr . Trump is NOT what YOU –– and myriad others –– insist on SAYING he is.

As for the GOP and its bevy of rotten RINO "Stabbies," they are not worth the powder it would take to blow them to hell.
