Necessary Vigilantism?

Please watch the three videos in their entirety before commenting....

Also see this video: Kenosha Shooting Timeline.

The shooter, 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse has been arrested and charged with first-degree intentional homicide — and more.  Additional information about Kyle Rittenhouse HERE.  and has allowed the situation in Kenosha to spin out of control to the point that Kenosha citizens need citizen militias.

John Antaramian, the major of Kenosha for 16 years, and the situation in Kenosha after the shooting of Jacob Blake to spin out of control — to the point that the citizens of Kenosha felt (still feel?) the need for citizen militias.

Suffer Your Privilege!

Thus saith Lisa Bender, the president of the Minneapolis City Council:

So, the very concepts of personal safety and private property are to be abrogated? Really? Really?

And then there's this, a must-read because there is more information included besides what the title indicates...It’s come to this: Guilty whites, including cops, kneel, wash feet of black community leaders.

Apparently, nothing is enough now.

Dangerous And Destructive Forces

Chaziel Sunz, former Black Lives Matter Ferguson organizer, offered some observations, albeit in 2017 (hat tip to Infidel Bloggers Alliance):

On June 1, 2020, Tucker Carlson delivered a thought-provoking monologue which, in my view, is mandatory viewing — regardless of how you may feel about Tucker Carlson:

Blighting Our Cities

The murder of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis Police Officer (and psycho?) Derek Chavin while three other police officers stood by should sadden and outrage any human being with a conscience.

So should what's been happening in United States cities in the days and nights following the murder sadden and outrage us: violence, vehicles set on fire, stores looted.

I well remember the consequences of the 1968 riots in Washington, D.C.  An entire section of downtown Washington remained a blight for years upon years:
The property loss caused by the riots was extensive and included damage to 1,199 buildings, including 283 residential and 1,590 commercial units. Losses to at least partially insured properties in the concentrated area of looting and destruction were estimated at $25 million. Insurance covered only 29% of the total loss suffered by these businesses. As a result of the riot damage, an estimated 2,900 insurance policies were cancelled and 500 businesses suffered inflated insurance rates. The Board of Trade estimated a loss of $40 million in tourist trade during April and May including those due to the cancellation of the National Cherry Blossom Festival.

The riots devastated Washington's inner city economy. With the destruction or closing of businesses, thousands of jobs were lost, and insurance rates soared. Made uneasy by the violence, white flight from the city accelerated, depressing property values. Crime in the burned out neighborhoods rose sharply, further discouraging investment.

On some blocks, only rubble remained for decades. Columbia Heights and the U Street Corridor did not begin to recover economically until the opening of metro (subway) stations at U Street in 1991 and Columbia Heights stations in 1999, which in turn assisted the areas' gentrification in the 2010s.
The same will happen to these cities being ravaged today.

The destruction of property is no way to grieve — and serves only to perpetuate a particular racial stereotype, thus setting back race relations for years to come.

I weep for our republic and can barely watch the news during these terrible days.

Nancy Pelosi: Obstructing Justice

See Pelosi Advises Illegal Immigrants on How to Avoid ICE (hat tip to Z for this link).

Important to note....Those subject to these particular ICE "raids" already been processed, then ordered deported:
The raids are expected to target recently arrived migrant families who have already received final orders of removal from an immigration judge.

We Don't Know What We Don't Know

Please watch this short video about one of Roy Moore's accusers, and read the accompanying article "New Court Docs Blow Massive Hole in Moore Accuser’s Story." Excerpt from the latter (emphasis mine):
...One of Moore’s accusers, Leigh Corfman, claims that almost 40 years ago, Moore tried to initiate a sexual relationship with her while she was still a teenager.

Her accusations hinge on two points: First, that she was left alone with the then-32-year-old attorney Roy Moore during a family court case… and second, that she lived with her mother in Gadsden, Alabama, when Moore allegedly harassed her.

Both of those points have now been called into question....

[,,,]

Let’s be extremely clear: We don’t know with certainty whether the claims against Roy Moore are true or not. Neither does anyone else, except the people directly involved.

That is the point: When an accusation is made, the first rule of our society and our laws is that the accused are innocent until proven guilty.

What we do know is that the timing of these accusations is extremely odd. After decades of Moore in the public light, these claims emerged with only weeks left in a key election that the candidate seemed to be winning.
Read the rest HERE at the Conservative Tribune.

In America, nobody should be tried in the media. Period. Full stop.

Judge Roy Moore is being tried in the media.

The media in all their various manifestations — more precisely the Enemedia — are engaging in media malpractice.

In a special election to be held in Alabama on December 12, 2017, it is up to the people of Alabama to decide whether or not Judge Moore will serve as a United States Senator.  Regardless of the voters' decision, that decision is not adjudication.  We must keep in mind that, thus far, the allegations levied against Judge Moore are just that — allegations, not charges.

Do we really want America to be a nation that accepts allegations as facts without adjudication?

Illegal Immigration And Crime

Despite the fact that many illegal aliens coming to America have good intentions and flee here for a better life and sometimes for their very survival, the fact remains that many illegal aliens do not have good intentions and, instead, have come here to plunder.

From the Washington Times (dated June 21, 2017):
Nearly 30 percent of the illegal immigrant children the U.S. is holding in its dormitories have ties to criminal gangs, the government revealed Wednesday, suggesting that the Obama-era surge of Central Americans has fed the country’s growing problem with MS-13 and other gangs.

Federal officials refused even to guess at the true scope of the problem, telling the Senate Judiciary Committee that they can give only small snapshots of what they see. But they said the devastation on communities across the country is clear: killings and chaos, particularly among other immigrants — both legal and illegal....

How much the above gang presence impacts you where you are living likely shapes your own views on illegal immigration.

The Travel Ban At The SCOTUS: Upheld 9 To 0 For Certain Portions

The United States Supreme Court Building

Unless you've been living under a rock, you've already heard about this June 26, 2017 decision from the Supreme Court of the United States.

Yesterday, President Trump was taking a victory lap on Twitter:

Note this detail of the SCOTUS decision, a detail which might have some far-reaching consequences:
[T]he court concluded that foreigners who have no ties to the U.S. cannot argue, on their own, that constitutional protections apply to them. They're not U.S. citizens, U.S. students or U.S. employees, so the protections established in the Constitution do not apply to them....
Read the rest HERE.

Enforcement of the limited 90-day travel ban may begin as early as Thursday, June 29, 2017.

Now that the SCOTUS has ruled, will the protesters screeching about Trump's travel ban go home?  Not a chance:
...A number of high profile Democrats and migrant rights advocates vowed to continue fighting against the ban.

Tom Perez, chair of the Democratic National Committee, said Trump’s order remained “an unconstitutional and un-American assault on our country’s religious freedom”.

“Democrats will continue to fight this hatred every step of the way,” he said....

The Clinton Foundation

A case of "Be sure your sin will find you out"?

YouTube blurb:
Published on Jan 24, 2017

Why is the Clinton charity shutting down now? Financial analyst Charles Ortel, who has analyzed the Clinton Global Initiative charity for more than two years, says, “I think, in part, because nobody wants to contribute to it. That’s one reason. Unfortunately, they are going to learn the hard way the way charity laws actually work. You can’t simply shut something down and not answer any questions. . . . The laws are such that before you liquidate, and that is what they have to do here, you must make full disclosure, and they have never made proper disclosures here. . . . Going back to the Clinton Global Initiative, narrowly, what the (Clintons) tried to keep from public view are all the crooked side deals. . . . There are multiple private deals concocted out of the CGI, and every single one of them is what’s called ‘illegal private gain.’ . . . What they don’t seem to understand is, with charity fraud, the burden falls on the targeted charity to prove that it was lawful. . . If you destroy these records, which is what I fear they are doing, you are only compounding your problems. . . . Many countries are looking into this, and I think what you are going to find is a cascading mountain of new evidence. . . .This is a text book case of charity run amuck. . . . I think the case is overwhelming.”
Also see Clinton Charity is Massive Global Swamp-Charles Ortel.

Then again, the Clintons always seem to weasel out of any impending accountability.

The Slippery Slope

Last week, Reliapundit of THE ASTUTE BLOGGERS called to my attention the short audio below. Worthy of your consideration whether or not you are a fan of Rush Limbaugh:

Limbaugh does not say that Obama could well justify other dictatorial deeds with the words "It's the right thing to do!" However, is not that statement part of all utopianism?

And what does all utopianism bring, sooner or later?

Grammar Error As Legal Loophole

The Virginia state statute regarding stopping for a school bus loading and offloading passengers reads as follows (in part):

"A person is guilty of reckless driving who fails to stop, when approaching from any direction, any school bus which is stopped on any highway, private, road, or school driveway...

Do you see the error? Video and link to the article are in the continuation of this post.
