9/11: Never Forget

Don't be a dhimmi! Never forget that Quran-thumping Muslims did — and do — all these things in the name of Allah.

Article: Ripon College bans 9/11 Never Forget posters for fear of offending Muslims (hat tip to Jihad Watch). Excerpt:
Citing bias reports filed during last year’s 9/11: Never Forget Project, administrators at Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin, ruled that YAF’s 9/11: Never Forget Project posters are creating an “environment” where “students from a Muslim background would feel singled out and/or harassed.” As a result, Ripon administrators will not allow the Ripon Young Americans for Freedom to hang the flyers as part of their work to remember the victims of September 11 or other victims of radical Islamist terrorism.

[...]

Administrators further—and falsely—claim that one of their objections is because radical Islamist terrorism “represents a small percentage of the terrorist attacks that happened to this country, and they don’t represent the full gamut, and they show a very small picture of a specific religion or nationality instead of the larger viewpoint.” From 1992 to 2017, Islamists were responsible for 92% of deaths caused by terrorism in the United States, and are “far and away, the deadliest group of terrorists by ideology.”...

These images from that Tuesday morning seventeen years ago are seared into my memory, and I have zero tolerance for the whitewash of Islam and the fear of offending Muslims:

  1. I'm not afraid of offending muslims, I just don't want to. I don't want to offend christians or jews or buddhists en masse either. Just don't get me started on hindus.
Look, if you judge each religion by the nuttiest 0.1%, none of them come out well. People are dicks, period. No religion inoculates against that.

Religion and race are not a powerful explanation for global terrorism IMO. Don't you get more information from economic and political factors?

    1. I don't recall the religions you mentioned having the main tenets that required the killing of non believers as a method of achieving the after life, along with numerous virgins, other than Islam.

    2. The ugly truth about Islam is that the only guarantee of Paradise is to kill non-Muslims in acts of jihad. The West keeps denying that such a tenet is an inherent part of Islam.

"Nice" Muslims do not doctrine make.

    3. The Qu'ran is not the only holy book to contain contradictory advice. " "Nice" " Muslims (I'm scare-quoting your scare-quotes -- I am satisfied that some muslims are genuinely "nice"), who maintain that there be no coercion in matters of faith, are supported by at least as much doctrine as the jihadi's who apply the exhortation to fight infidels to modern Westerners -- probably more so, because moderate clerics can and do reason against the latter but I know of no theological argument against the former.

    4. Jez,
Have you read the Quran and the Haditha? These are the two books that govern Sunni Islam.

Have a read (my essay from before the days when I established my own blog):

      Neighbor or Terrorist?

"Nice" Muslims can be revived if they attend a hard line Sunni mosque.

I know what I saw and heard. A real shocker before 9/11. Now I "get it" about Islam.

      And one more thing...

Ramadan offends the hell out of me. HERE is why.

Yet, Ramadan celebrations are sanctioned in the West -- revered, even. Surreal!

      Delete
    6. I'm not sure observers of Ramadan think of it as the commemoration of Badr, isn't that a coincidence?
Anyway, your offense is noted but couldn't one easily take offense at all kinds of festivals? eg. Passover springs to mind, couldn't that be interpreted as a celebration of mass infanticide across Egypt? (Yes, I know that's not the central point of Passover, but neither is any battle the central point of Ramadan.) Nevertheless, these are solemn occasions. I's prefer a state to either recognise all religions' festivals, or none.

    7. I haven't read all of the Qu'ran but I get the gist. Even less familar with the Hadiths.
As for your old friend Mohammed and his family, they were probably not terrorist. Should I be worried about the Irish catholics I meet? Not really, but statistically I think there is more basis for it than there is for your concern about your former neighbour.
In practice, I am more wary of things like Orange order marches than I am of any of the big religious festivals.

Students at a southern California high school were told to stop chanting “USA! USA!” at a special patriotic football game honoring 9/11 because it’s offensive and racist. Students at Aliso Niguel High School in Orange County, California were told to stop chanting “USA! The Gateway Pundit obtained an email sent to parents addressing this ‘controversy.’ In the first part of the email, Ms. Deni Christensen, the Principal of Aliso Niguel High School said two ‘offensive’ signs referencing Obama and Trump were ...

  9. Why These 9/11 Monsters Still Haven’t Faced Trial

    New York Post,

    by Max Jaeger

They say the wheels of justice turn slowly — but now they’ve ground to a virtual halt. Seventeen years after they helped murder 2,977 innocents in the worst terrorist attack on US soil, five 9/11 suspects — including self-avowed mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed — have not faced trial. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for all five men and have attempted for years to try the case, but a constantly shifting venue, questions over coerced evidence and the limitations of holding trials at Guantanamo Bay have slowed the case to a crawl. Victims’ families say the legal limbo puts them through hell.

America is going through hell waiting. I would have thought at the very least that these animals would have been tried secretly at GITMO, found guilty and then executed. That seventeen years have passed and no trials is criminal enough to our Uniform Code of Military Justice. These non-combatants, or whatever title should have met swift justice ...

  14. Something to ponder, from my good friend Midnight Rider of Infidel Bloggers Alliance:

It has been nearly a generation now.

17 years since the skies of a beautiful September morning turned to horror, blackened with the flesh and blood and bones and hopes and dreams and plans of 3,000 souls gone in a moment, changing our nation and the world forever.

    17 years of war.

My wife and I have raised a family in that time.

My nephew was born 3 days earlier. He just turned 17. A Junior in high school.

My youngest daughter was 3. Now a Junior in college.

My oldest daughters were in junior high. Now married with families of their own living too far away.

    With our six grandchildren.

Except for my two oldest none of these children or grandchildren or any of that generation have known a time without America at war, although I doubt most of them realize it. Afghanistan is something that occasionally "intrudes" on their life during the evening news or newspaper headlines. But they don't understand why.

They don't connect Ground Zero and Manchester and Bataclan and Nice

    Beslan

    and Benghazi

A generation of TSA and Homeland Security

Of taking off your shoes to board a plane

    Only passengers beyond security

A generation of barricades in front of public malls and stores

    Of police armed like soldiers

of ubiquitous intrusive surveillance and The Patriot Act

A generation of see something say something.

taught that a backpack on a park bench wasn't something someone forgot

    but a potential bomb

A generation of watching the news

    waiting...

A generation who has never known life without war

    of a war without borders

never known a time of peace

    and likely never will

a generation not of innocence lost

    but never allowed to be

a generation with far too many who have accepted this as normal

If they even think about it at all

    That crisp September morning

filled with ash and smoke and fire and fear

Seared into memories just a generation ago

About what evil has brought us to this place

    In their young lifetimes

    Just another casualty

    of this generation of war
