Well, Well, Well... (With Addendum)

One video of the altercation which resulted in a court filing:

From Politico, dated April 13, 2016:
Trump campaign manager will not be prosecuted, sources say

A Florida prosecutor has decided not to prosecute Donald Trump’s campaign manager for battery after a March run-in with former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields, sources with knowledge of the situation told POLITICO.

The decision not to press charges against Corey Lewandowski is scheduled to be announced on Thursday afternoon [April 14, 2016] by Palm Beach County State Attorney David Aronberg.

[...]

“Not every minor interaction needs to go to court. Time for everyone to chill out,” [veteran Miami criminal defense lawyer David Oscar Markus] said. “Jeb Bush has a better claim for battery against Trump after those debates than this reporter does against Lewandowski.”...

Commenter Truth Serum opined as follows at Weasel Zippers:
So when are the following ladies, and Michelle Field's supporters, going to publish their en masse written apology to Lewandowski and Trump?

Dana Loesch (Radio America, Blaze TV); Katie Pavlich, (Townhall, Fox News); Meghan McCain, (America Now Radio, Cosmopolitan, Fox News); S.E. Cupp, ( New York Daily News, Glamour, CNN); Mary Katharine Ham, (CNN, The Federalist); Christine Rosen, (New Atlantis, Commentary); Christina Hoff Sommers, (American Enterprise Institute).

Bethany Mandel, (The Federalist, Acculturated); Emily Zanotti, (American Spectator); Elisha Krauss, (AM 870 The Answer); Karol Markowicz, (New York Post); Kristen Soltis Anderson, (Washington Examiner); Mona Charen, (Ethics and Public Policy Center, Creators Syndicate); Sarah Rumpf, (freelance); Brooke Rogers, (National Review); and Mary Chastain, (Breitbart).
I have to work a long day today (Thursday, April 14, 2016). Let's see if there is an official announcement this afternoon.

  1. She's an unseemly celebrity-seeking drama queen with a history of provocations where she played the aggrieved victim. She's trying to break into the upper tier of rightwing punditocracy, somewhere just above Malkin maybe.

Look at that list of women who supported he. All nobody minor-leaguers, except for Charin and Christina Hoff-Summers.

It's not about the story, it's about them. The money is gone from punditry, and even talk radio is becoming less lucrative, so hopefully we won't be pestered by such little ankle-biters in the future.

  2. I am not a judge. I am not a jury. Not my job.
I never believed Trump inspired aggression against her.
    Something happened.
It appears both parties have baggage that lends towards accusations about each of them.
If Hillary doesn't go to jail, why should I expect anyone else to?

  3. Anita Hill (and the costly and unnecessary hearings) put women's rights forward ten years and male gallantry back hundreds of years. Men could no longer deliver an honest compliment, "You look nice today. The dress is very pretty." They could no longer meet in closed-door fashion for being falsely accused of sexual impropriety. Worse yet, when my husband was teaching high school math he did not touch a female students forehead when she asked if he thought she had a fever because she did not feel well. He merely told the young lady to head to the nurse' office.

Michelle Fields? She has built her career on a damsel-in-distress model. Barbara Walters would have never behaved in such an unseemly manner. Minus the video, Ms. Fields could have destroyed a man's career. We tend to believe the woman when she lies about a man. Why is that? Should not both stories be told and weighed equally?

    1. What career?

She's got tired stuck on the sinking ship called Breitfart and thought she saw a way off.

      To where, we don't know.
Myself, I had never heard of her. Seems like rather low scale "Sippy" Cupp.

    2. Given her penchant for histrionics psycho-fetish conservatism, perhaps Glenn Beck could employ her.

    3. Duck,
It's more than her wanting to leave a sinking ship (not that Breitbart is actually sinking).

The woman has a long history of wanting media attention -- and saying anything to get that attention.

    2. Bill, cheer up; there are actually people who love Sanders even when his response last night to "how do we encourage our economy and keep costs DOWN?" was "RAISE THE MIN. WAGE!" Ya, compared to that joke of a discussion last night "Hillary the liar" and "Sanders the overaged hippie," I'm still proud to call myself a Republican.

  7. I don't care if that pack of nobodies apologize. I do care that both Cruz and Kasich should apologize for saying Lewandowski should have been fired. I posted about it today. They were both totally out of line and I applaud Trump for standing behind his employee instead of throwing him to the PC mob.

Sort of OT, but I never thought I would get to the point I could spell Lewandowski without thinking about it even though it's very phonetic. ;-)

    5. Rules can change.

Republican leaders consider rewriting convention rules:

...It amounts to not just a changing of the rules but of the rulebook itself, with far-reaching implications, potentially impacting whether party insiders will be able to draft a so-called “white knight” — someone currently not running who would play the role of savior at a deadlocked convention....

      Delete
    6. The only people complaining about the nomination rules are the Trumpettes. Maybe the Sandernistas are upset that Hillary has committed superdelegates in states that haven't even had a primary but again, rules are rules, and membership has privileges. You want to be a Republican candidate, you gotta be a Republican candidate, with all the groundwork and organization that goes with it. Wasn't any different for Tea Party upstarts that had to work to win. Trump thinks rules are below his pay grade.

      He's wrong.

    7. For what it's worth:

..."If Trump arrives in Cleveland having won the most votes, the most contests, and the most delegates -- all of which is very likely -- depriving him of the nomination would be an unprecedented move in the modern political era...."

Read the rest at the link.

We'll see what the RNC's rules committee does or does not do in the next several weeks.

If the rules are changed to shut out both Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, there will be a gigantic outcry, IMO. More than the Trumpettes will be complaining then, IMO.

    8. from the WSJ article:

“These are the rules,” we were told over and over again. If the “rules” can be used to block Coloradans from voting on whether they want better trade deals, or stronger borders, or an end to special-interest vote-buying in Congress—well, that’s just the system and we should embrace it.

Let me ask America a question: How has the “system” been working out for you and your family?

    11. Trump is an Event

When, for example, does the experience of the Sublime occurr in politics? Whem 'against their better judgement', people disregard the balance sheet of profits and losses and 'risk freedom'; at that moment, something that, literally, cannot be 'accounted for' in terms of 'circumstances' miraculously 'becomes possible'... The feeling of the Sublime is aroused by an Event that momentarily suspends the network of symbolic causality. - Slavoj Zizek, "The Ticklish Subject"

That's the crux of the matter.

And people all across the political spectrum are FED UP with both political parties per se.

Some of our Founders didn't think highly of the two-party system. For good reason -- as we have been seeing for the past several election cycles.

    1. Good, but if the FBI and the Justice Department were as dutiful and honorable as they should be, the transcripts of EACH of Hillary's $250,000.00 speeches would have been forcibly wrenched from her slimy claws by now, and she would have been indicted and held without bail in a federal prison awaiting trial.

Hillary Clinton recently demonstrated just how arrogant and corrupt she really is by mocking the ongoing FBI investigation into her criminal activities regarding her illegal personal email server. On top of that, she may be exposing just how corrupt the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice is as well.

Michelle Fields was jostled. Slightly. Barely. And then again, she planted herself in the way of the outflow of pedestrian foot traffic. Not sure how she would survive crossing a Brooklyn street. It would probably give her PTSD.
