Liberalism

Accurate graphic (hat tip to Stogie of Saberpoint):

Choose a pillar and expound upon how that pillar has been used to pound away at the destruction of American principles.

    1. Indeed.

What is more racist than believing a whole race of people are incapable of acquiring basic identification we rely upon every day to gain employment, buy cigarettes and alcohol, or rent a dvd.

  2. About the Al Sharpton School of Racists (Victor Davis Hanson):

...Some of the public may think that the lessons of Michael Brown — and Trayvon Martin — are that it is unwise to commit a crime and then assault an officer, or confront a stranger in the rain and slug him in the head and get into a tussle, given that such targets may be armed and may respond with deadly force. But I think critics would privately respond that in Al Sharpton’s America both cases instead advise to take the beating and do not dare use a firearm for self-protection from assault on the chance the attacker is unarmed. In retrospect, Zimmerman might have preferred to have been “whoop-assed,” or Wilson preferred being slugged than to become lifelong targeted pariahs.

So Wilson’s second apparent error was in winning the fight over Brown for his gun. Had he allowed Brown to beat him, then Wilson might well have had a chance of surviving the wounds, and thus he might now still be a policemen with a career rather than ostracized, in danger, and unemployed. Neither the community nor the media would have found newsworthy the shooting or beating of a white policeman by an African-American youth — in the manner that the murder of two California sheriffs by a twice-deported illegal alien was one-day news. In contrast, once Wilson stopped Brown and once he managed to wrestle his gun back into his own control, then the options narrowed as Brown charged and the inevitable shooting ensued.

So another unspoken lesson from Ferguson may be that unarmed assailants such as Brown — or Trayvon Martin — can, just as armed suspects, pose as great challenges to those who confront them, in the sense that being assaulted by them might now be seen as preferable to using a firearm in self-defense, with the subsequent ruin that follows....

    1. What leftists desire above all else is that Caucasian people MARTYR themselves to The Negro Cause.

All of US Caucasians, whenever we are accosted and endangered by a member of the Negro race, should simply take our punishment without complaint just as Jesus accepted His Crucifixion for humanity's sake.

If we are impoverished, maimed, blinded or killed in the process, so be it.

Everlasting Punishment is what white people have EARNED by their abominable attitude and conduct towards Negroes, just as permitting ourselves to be ENSLAVED by the dictates of PROGRESSIVISM is the ONLY position we could take that would be acceptable to the Left.

    3. Well, that's one way to read it.

Another would be that the outbreak has been contained and declining in Liberia and Guinea. Sierra Leone is expanding but why won't it yield to the same procedures as the two other West African countries?

Serious progress in vaccines and treatment are being made.

Kaci Hickox told Christie and Cuomo to screw off and gave the system a good jolt of common sense.

I call that progress but I live in the libtard alternate reality.

Just because they dodged the bullet doesn't justify what they done. It's like taking a chance and driving home drunk, making it without getting arrested or hitting anything, and saying "See? Nothing wrong with drunk driving!"

Also, my fellow conservatives, our health system, despite a few hiccups, did a damned good job handing the ebola cases here in the US. That is a rare success that people of all political stripes can celebrate.

  4. DENIAL of REALITY:

This has been, clearly, on display for the last six years or so @ 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.-nuff said!

  5. Denial of reality: Black people are materially poorer and worse off than before LBJ's Great Society.

Our schools are worse and our children's education level is lower since Carter stood up the bureaucratic monster known as the Department of Education.

Fannie and Freddie resulted in foreclosures on people who any lender could have told you were incapable of paying back the money, but good ol' Uncle Sam made them lend the money anyway, and Uncle Sam then picked We The People's pockets to make it all good with the banks.

It takes a complete detachment from reality, perhaps enhanced by a few tokes from the hopium hookah, to not be outraged by that.

It also requires a hopium-filled bubble to laugh off a horrible event where a US ambassador and several Americans are slaughtered by islamic terrorists.

Michael Savage is right: Liberalism is a Mental Disorder.

  6. Are black people materially worse off because of the Great Society? Not a question that can be answered in 25 words or less.
Are black people materially worse off because of "welfare reform"? Again complicated but not a question the fringe right acknowledges.

Fannie and Freddie were NOT forced to make any loans to people who couldn't pay. They chose to make those loans to regain the share they had lost to unregulated Wall St. (NOT government) enabled lenders like Countrywide and Ameriquest.

But the right would rather tell us that there was not enough liquidity in the banking system to accommodate loan defaults under CRA.

Wall St. makes a bet that the housing bubble can expand indefinitely, something like your book letting everything get laid off on the over, and you blame the poor.

Even Greenspan (Ayn's homeboy) admitted that there were serious problems with the idea of an unregulated market.

    Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi

Next you'll deny that the seeds of the earned income tax credit are found in Hayek, whom you don't understand.

All by your little self you provide ample evidence of how wrong, how perverse, how idiotic -- and how deeply unpleasant -- the Left really is.

    3. Ducky,
Like most of your comments, your answer is partially correct, but obscures the truth (purposefully, I contend).

Fannie and Freddie didn't make the loans: Lenders did. And government regulators leaned on those lenders to loan money to people who did not qualify.

Fannie and Freddie were the bad loan launderers, buying up the bad paper so the lenders wouldn't get stuck with the bad loans Uncle Sam made them right.

It pays to have good lobbyists, doesn't it?

      Delete
    4. Also, I have never blamed the poor, so once again, you're caught trafficking in liberal lies.

I blame the federal government. Their stupidity enabled the Wall Street banksters, crashed our economy, and cost us trillions (but notice the Bush and Obama governments made sure to refill the pockets of their pirate cronies.

Had the US government not introduced perverse incentives into a previously-rational market, and had they not weaved golden parachutes and fluffy safety nets for Wall Street pirates, none of that would have happened.

Your comment about EIC, like much of your blather, is irrelevant to the topic at hand.

    5. Fannie and Freddie didn't make the loans: Lenders did. And government regulators leaned on those lenders to loan money to people who did not qualify.
      --------
The loans were made by unregulated companies like Countrywide.
How was government pressure ever an issue?

      They write subprimes.
Sell them as investment grade (with a wink from the ratings agencies) to Investment banking firms (i.e. NOT banks) who have a pool of suckers.
They take the proceeds and write more subprimes.

      Pretty simple grift.
Notice, no regulation in the loop.

Now, I will agree that when Fannie and Freddie saw their stock price dropping because they were losing share to the grift they started playing the game and getting that stock price up.
Now, why they were unnecessarily privatized is a good topic for another time.

    6. More lies and disinformation from Ducky...

Every lender and banker in this country is under government regulation. Do you think we are stupid to fall for your lies?

financial finaglers are also subject to government regulation. Unfortunately part of that is We The Taxpayer bailing them out when their financial stink bombs blow up.

That's YOUR progressive, corporatist government doing that, Ducky.

And they are not truly privatize when the federal government bails them out.

After Obama and his goons finally admitted it was "terrorists" that killed 4 Americans in Libya on 9-11-12.....one would figure they would've arrested them or killed them by now.

What's the hold on taking action against the terrorists from over 1.5 years ago???
Four of our people died and Obama lied about Benghazi. We are into a cover-up of a cover-up of a cover-up and the left continues to whine about the unfairness of wanting to get to the bottom of the murders of an Ambassador, two Navy Seals and a embassy worker. And you people are fixated on some stupid release of the Senate Intelligence Committee’s report on the CIA’s secret interrogation of terrorists, by of all people,Dianne Feinstein?
Obama lied and Americans died. Who do we see about that Intelligence Committee report ? You repulsive progressives talk about it as if it was big joke. Too bad the families of the Americans killed in Benghazi, Libya aren't laughing

      Delete
    2. I thought I covered that with COMBATIVENESS. Perhaps it was too mild a term? ;-)

BTW, I consider ESSHEAD, a polite, rather elegant euphemism -- a singularly appropriate term for people of the Left. ENWORD is another I find myself using more and more for similar reasons.

It's sort of like calling a spade "a forged metal implement used in the digging of holes."

One never knows what word next the Left will target as "offensive," and therefore TABOO. they will seize any excuse and use any device to disrupt and derail discourse, throw people off balance, and draw attention, instead, to their deranged view of history and current events.

Truth is "Hate Speech" to Leftists.

Calling something exactly what it is, however unflattering, is not "name calling." The term properly applies only to defamatory remarks, dirty words, and deliberate, unfounded, undeserved insults.

    I will say it again:

    Liberalism is a Mental Disorder.

And Michael Savage has more compassion, and most certainly more intelligence and education than you have demonstrated so far, by far.

You've must be mentally defective to see these facts and then deny them, screaming instead for even more government:

Black people are materially poorer and worse off than before LBJ's Great Society.
