The Erosion Of Our Rights

If you do nothing else today, watch the video below (hat tip to Mustang):

Mustang has more information in this essay. Read it!

  1. I think the real question is, do we really have any “Rights” We have become a nation of hypocrites. And just how far do our “Rights” go? Do we have the “Right” to force our laws and our “Rights” and our Freedom on the rest of the world? If you do, then who do we think we are that we can force our views and morals on the rest of the world? And when our own president can hosts a Muslim prayer breakfast knowing that homosexuality gets capital punishment in many Muslim countries. For example, If the Russians want to treat homosexuality as a perversion, then what gives us the right to force our beliefs on them, it’s their “Right” to do as they please. We have more than enough problems to solve over here.
    Can't you see the hypocrisy?

As for white people owing an apology to blacks for slavery, sorry but I feel no need to apologize for something that happened 150 plus years before I was born. Nor did my parents have anything to do with that. Anyone who wants a apology for slavery go find a slave owner dig him up and ask “HIM” for an apology !!!

  2. In case you haven't noticed, the US has lost many of our rights.
What give the president the right to tell us we can't buy private health insurance any more if we want to?
We are now two years into Obama’s second term and failed economic and national security policies that include the shrinking of our military power to the levels of pre-World War Two years. Domestic policies are having their effect on failed foreign policies. There are some 90 million Americans out of work or who ceased to look for it.
How would we feel if Russia "forced" their morals and standards on us?
Maybe Obama should send his Boy Rodmen... over to visit Putin. He might be able to change his mind. For real... Look what did in Korea!

Nothing I'm aware of and it's cheaper if you use an exchange.

  3. The Liberated Conservative said; "What give the president the right to tell us we can't buy private health insurance any more if we want to?"

    Wtf are you talking about?

And by the way, Obama has increased military spending.

  4. This is my previous comment as it appears under Mustang's essay of May the 5th:

"OK, call me a ‘broken record’ but once again I say: WE ARE GETTING FROG BOILED! True to the process, sadly: ” most of our people simply do not know about these abuses, or were not personally affected by them”. Sadder still, I think that all too many don’t want to know or care as the water temperature rises!"

    "Liberalmann" is a perfect case-in-point!

So...you're referring to the GOP's denial of man's involvement in Climate Change? Good for you!

Some of the comments here are clearly along the lines of comic relief -- although these comic commenters have no idea that they are providing comic relief. **chuckle**

  9. The government has the power to dictate what is said or not said in the confessional?

This douche is a freaking ignoramus.

  10. Your comment, Duhky, illustrates what an utter moron you actually are. And I do mean that you are a pathetic creature whose narrative belies your actual intentions as an enemy of the American people. I am quite certain that as a leftist slug, you are fully aware that the KGB successfully implanted their agents as priests, and used the information obtained during confession to arrest, imprison, and murder the citizens of Soviet states. I have no doubt that you applaud such behaviors (which does go along with the concept I have of you as a filthy leftist slug), but here in America, this is a new concept. While you can trust the government, most of us do not. And would you like to know why, Duhky? It is because the government is composed mostly of swine, much like you.

Oh, and here’s a belated PS: before you opine that I’m despicable at this or any other blog, think back upon the time when you wished for the death of Andrew Breitbart. It made you an uber douche bag for life.

  11. Poor Sam, poor Sam. Obama used the classified heart attack gun on your hero.

Now, if you're willing to can the stilted prose please tell us that this clown didn't have his head up his ass when he said that you can be arrested for something said in the confessional.

  12. Ducky’s right. Nothing to see here. Everyone should go back to sleep. All is well in America. I wonder how much Mr. Caswell had to spend to defend himself against Ducky’s fascist government.

    1. You familiar with Tewksbury, mustang? I have relatives who are.

Bit of a dump and that particular establishment was a center for prostitution and dope that people wanted shut down. There was no "suspected". This place was a crime infested hole that was the source of a good deal of the crime in the area.

Now, I imagine you don't think government has a responsibility to control crime and protective the citizenry, correct? You sense of government is even more bizarre than Huntington's.

The motel is still a hole that costs the town significant money to police.

    2. Mustang,
I just read that link. Boiling the frog, huh?

Here we are in The Information Age, and citizens do not even realize what is going on.

    3. Brief excerpt from the link:

In Ball Harbour, Fla., police raked in more than $5 million through its participation with the Justice Department’s asset forfeiture sharing program in 2011. The town, which is home to only 2,500 permanent residents, made most of its money through the Justice Department’s Equitable Sharing program.

Under the federal program, state and local agencies work in tandem with the feds and often they are allowed to keep most of what they help seize. Property is often sold, with proceeds funneled back into local coffers. They money can go toward anything from new equipment to raises and other perks from the same officials who carried out the bust.

    4. Duck,
Even if it is a dump, private property owners should not be disenfranchised. Controlling crime should not entail the confiscation of properties of owners who are not involved in the crime.

The motel is still a hole that costs the town significant money to police.

Motels commit crimes? Who knew? I always thought that people were criminals and had no idea that inanimate objects could commit crimes.

  14. If you're in a group insurance plan at work, you will pay less than if you go to the identity thieving exchange. If you don't have a job, 99% of you are going to go on medicaid and pay nothing, except you will forfeit your estate to the government when you die over 50. If you're not in any of those two categories, then you are rich and you are sure as hell not going to sign up for gubmint HC. So, the statement that the exchanges are cheaper is entirely worthless and has no basis in reality. But that's a libtard for you. Stupid with a capitol F.

    1. Kid,
You have made an important point, of which those who are gleefully accepting Medicaid are likely unaware:

go on medicaid and pay nothing, except you will forfeit your estate to the government when you die

I've also seen a notice to the following effect myself: Once one buys a policy via the health exchange, the premiums for private policies soar. I myself got such a notice from Blue Cross, with which I've had a private policy since 2009.

In sum, once one goes on the government teat (aka "The Road to Serfdom"), there's no going back.

      And one more thing....

You typed in: If you're in a group insurance plan at work, you will pay less than if you go to the identity thieving exchange.

Absolutely correct! In fact, just yesterday I saw a WaPo article to that effect.

    3. And just think what will happen when employers stop offering group insurance plans. That day will come. Disbelieve that at one's own peril. Financial peril, that is.

  15. Hey Ducky,

"You sense of government is even more bizarre than Huntington's."

Why don't you just go back and get a GED? Perhaps you will get more serious attention here and even elsewhere. Otherwise you come across as a complete jerk, not well educated!

    1. Not true! Our Ducky is BRILLIANT -- highly intelligent, very knowledgeable, right on top of every issue, knows absolutely EVERYTHING about EVERY subject. The problem is he has been warped and embittered by an apparently sad background, and a fierce MARXIAN INDOCTRINATION in the school or schools from which he obtained his degree.

That means he has positive KNOWLEDGE of a great many things that simply are NOT TRUE.

If anything, Dicky is TOO well-educated in ways that have taught him to disregard logic, common sense, and common decency in favor of Leftist Cant and Rhetoric.

In short he's been BRAINWASHED, and cannot help being what he is, "They" have taken away his soul.
