  1. Nelson Mandela was a bloody terrorist! People forget so quickly. He was involved in premeditated bombings and murders. So what if he changed his mind when in prison and denounced his previous beliefs? Once a terrorist, always a terrorist. South Africans were desperate to have someone to worship and since this dude made headlines they clutched onto him. He figured, and quite rightly, that terrorist turned politician is the way to go (like those born again Christians in prison sham) simple as that. Then, he was just riding the gravy train enjoying life of luxury (legally this time) allowing others to write his speeches and do all the other stuff politicians do. I’d advise those lefty azzholes to try to find out more about this azzhole before glorifying him. -

  3. I have ZERO use for anyone like Mandela.
Terrorism generally has a social or political goal in mind.
And the so called kindly old grandfather that the Liberals of the world will paint him as being.
At best that would make him a kindly old grandfather, who was a murdering terrorist and who was married to a raving racist, terrorist b*tch of a wife.

What does that say about grandpa? Mandela was a leader of a terror group that killed hundreds of people and Mandela openly admitted to it.
Do some research, he was a terrorist and member of the Communist Party. He ordered the bombings of many women and children which was the reason for his incarceration in the first place. Say what you may, Mandela IS NOT and WAS NOT a great man. He is just a terrorist that got old.

  4. Make no mistake about it, Nelson Mandela WAS the head of the terrorist wing of The African National Congress and South African Communist Party. HE HAD PLEADED GUILTY to 156 acts of public violence including mobilizing terrorist bombing campaigns, which planted bombs in public places, including the Johannesburg railway station. Many innocent people, including WOMEN AND CHILDREN, WERE KILLED by NELSON MANDELA’S MK TERRORISTS.
THE AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS VICTIMS WERE MOSTLY CIVILIANS:
While president Nelson Mandela STILL openly supported brutal communist regimes such as Fidel Castro’s Cuba, Robert Mugabe’s Zimbabwe, Red China, Gadhaffi’s Libya, Saddam Hussein, Yasar Arafat and many other dictators. Mandela received Fidel Castro, the longest reigning dictator in the world, and gave him the highest award that South Africa could give and then had both Houses of Parliament gather to hear an address from the Cuban tyrant. How can anyone justify that!

  5. Yes, Nelson Mandela was a terrorist, no one can deny that. He signed off on a bombing that killed 19 and injured 200 people the ANC was (and is) a communist-terrorist organization. Here are some more of Mandela's ANC's peaceful exploits:The ANC had an easy choice: Fight soldiers, or take the easy cowardly option terrorists worldwide take, and that is target civilians..

THE ANC'S VICTIMS WERE MOSTLY CIVILIANS:
1981 – 2 car bombs at Durban showrooms
    1983 – Church Street Bomb (killed 19, wounded 217)
    1984 – Durban car bomb (killed 5, wounded 27)
1985-1987 – At least 150 landmines on farm roads (killed 125)
1985 – Amanzimtoti Sanlam shopping centre bomb Dec 23 (killed 2 white women and 3 white children)
    1986 – Magoo's Bar bomb (killed 3, wounded 69)
    1986 – Newcastle Court bomb (wounded 24)
    1987 – Johannesburg Court bomb (killed 3, wounded 10)
1987 – Wits command centre car bomb (killed 1, wounded 68)
1988 – Johannesburg video arcade (killed 1 unborn baby, wounded 10)
    1988 – Roodepoort bank bomb (killed 4, wounded 18)
1988 – Pretoria Police housing unit, 2 bombs (wounded 3)
    1988 – Magistrate's Court bomb (killed 3)
1988 – Benoni Wimpy Bar bomb (killed 1, wounded 56)
1988 – Witbank shopping center bomb (killed 2, wounded 42)
1988 – Ellis Park Rugby Stadium car bomb (killed 2, wounded 37)
Late 1980s – Numerous Wimpy Restaurant bombs (killed many, wounded many)

So what else would you call this man that performed all these cowardly acts, but a Terrorist!

  7. On one hand you have a return of rickets in England and a move by the government to improve diet.
On the other you have whining in the American article that rans fas which contribute to the serious heart disease are being removed from our diet.

Myself, I favor the British approach and wonder if Americans are even able to consider the massive cost of their diets which have been carefully engineered to include enough salt and fats to develop an addiction to crap.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Duck,
WHY is England seeing a return of rickets?

As for removing transfats, well, the consumer (that is, people who make certain food choices) need to take control of their own eating plans. Carbs, salts, and fats may be "addictive," but I, for one, have learned to break that "addiction" without another entity removing carbs, salts, and fats from my diet; willpower is the significant factor, and I removed those unhealthy elements on my own.

      Delete
    2. The difference in this case is that the Brit are trying to add a critical nutrient absent in a lot of peoples diets while America has the task of removing a harmful ingredient that most people aren't aware of.

I don't believe the time when fast food is nutritious is at all close.

    3. Duck,
I don't believe the time when fast food is nutritious is at all close.

It's not typically nutritious, but occasional indulging does no harm -- especially if one exercises or does strenuous physical labor. I know that, in my own case, once I sustained a permanent back injury, I could no longer overindulge in consuming fast food.

BTW, some home-cooked dishes can be as harmful as fast food.

  9. News Flash!
The White House said Friday that President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama would travel to South Africa next week to pay their respects. They will be joined on Air Force One by former President George W. Bush and wife Laura Bush, who "gratefully accepted" the invitation from the Obamas, a Bush spokesman said.
The White House said travel arrangements were still being made and it was unclear when the Obamas and Bushes would depart. A memorial service for Mandela will be held Tuesday at a stadium in Johannesburg, followed by a smaller funeral on Dec. 15 in Mandela's hometown.
Former President Bill Clinton said he also planned to travel to South Africa, along with his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. It was unclear whether the Clintons would also fly on Air Force One.

    Well isn’t that Peachy!
President Obama was a no-show at Margaret Thatcher's funeral despite being invited to attend and thus snubbing England's invitation as a representative of the American people.

Joe Biden also refused, as did Hillary Clinton. (By the way, former Secretary of State George Schultz went to the funeral ...)

The British took note of the fact that the Obama administration chose not to send a single senior member of the Cabinet.

In fact, no actively serving, elected Democrat attended Lady Thatcher's funeral.
Lady Thatcher was a white conservative woman and a world leader. Maybe that’s what scared Obama.

  12. Nelson Mandela Quotes You Probably Won’t See In The U.S. Media:

“If there is a country that has committed unspeakable atrocities in the world, it is the United States of America. They don’t care for human beings.”

“All that (Mr. Bush) wants is Iraqi oil.”

“From its earliest days, the Cuban Revolution has also been a source of
inspiration to all freedom-loving people. We admire the sacrifices of the Cuban people in maintaining their independence and sovereignty in the face of the vicious imperialist-orquestrated campaign to destroy the impressive gain made in the Cuban Revolution. … Long live the Cuban Revolution. Long live comrade Fidel Castro.”

“It is our duty to give support to our brother Moammar Gadhafi, our longtime supporter: … especially in regards to the sanctions which are not hitting just him, they are hitting the ordinary masses of the people … our African brothers and sisters.”

“If you look at those matters, you will come to the conclusion that the attitude of the United States of America is a threat to world peace.”

“we know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians.”

  14. About some of the dispute here regarding Nelson Mandela...

Does the end (combating injustice) really justify the means (horrific deeds)?

We'll have to agree to disagree on that matter.

As I said to Duck in a comment further down in this thread:

I do think that the slaughter of human beings should matter.

And, for the record, I don't canonize anyone. Period. Every human being is "warts and all." Not a single human being is absolutely good or absolutely evil.

  15. Civil wars in Africa have been brutal and bloody with no real winners.

Would you have preferred South Africa turn out like Congo (3+million dead) or Zimbabwe?
Would you have preferred that Mandela had tried be a strong man and lock everyone else out of the government to have the countries festering hate devour it after the strong man's death like Yugoslavia after Tito?

Ain't no slippery slope about it. He was a great man and a great statesman.
His concern for people's basic freedoms was sincere and I wonder how the right can not respect that with all their talk of freedom.

  18. And so it begins.......... There USED to be a bust of Churchill in The White House.. Note I said " Used to be"

But now we even have a School named after a Terrorist who was responsible for bombing schools in the past.
We may as well get used to it, with this president in office you might as well be prepared-, you can be certain there will be a statue of Mandela in DC..
streets will be named for him--museums, libraries-- and all sorts of tributes..

Lets get past the halo we’ve placed on his head, and made him into another “messiah” Instead let take a good look at this so call “Hero’s: past record... shall we!

He signed off on the deaths of innocent people, lots of them

Tp begin with, Nelson Mandela was the head of UmKhonto we Sizwe, (MK), the terrorist wing of the ANC and South African Communist Party. At his trial, he had pleaded guilty to 156 acts of public violence including mobilising terrorist bombing campaigns, which planted bombs in public places, including the Johannesburg railway station. Many innocent people, including women and children, were killed by Nelson Mandela’s MK terrorists. Here are some highlights of places he BOMBED and People he KILLED in doing so.
Church Street West, Pretoria, on the 20 May 1983
Amanzimtoti Shopping complex KZN, 23 December 1985
    Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court, 17 March 1988
Durban Pick ‘n Pay shopping complex, 1 September 1986
Pretoria Sterland movie complex 16 April 1988 – limpet mine killed ANC terrorist M O Maponya instead
    Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court, 20 May 1987
Roodepoort Standard Bank 3 June, 1988
Shocked? Well, not only did Mandela refuse to renounce violence, Amnesty refused to take his case!
Not that I hate to shatter the Progressive’s bubble, because Their heroes are not exactly my idea of real heros. Their truths are not as I see it, I see their truth as lies and as propaganda, and BS.
Today, we have real heroes, we see and hear about them almost every day, but, we don’t always see them in our daily newspapers. . We are not a heard of sheep..
Nelson Mandela and his wife were both Communist terrorists and thugs. There's no nice way to say it, that's what they were. But for anyone watching what the "news" media will say about his death. By the time they get through people will think ( as Chris Matthews would say) and Al Sharpton would agree “he was a reincarnation of Jesus Christ”. But, then again, anyone with an ounce of brains will realize the Jesus did not take part in over 150 terrorist acts like Mandela did. But our faithful liberal lap dog media won't mention that part. They choose to ignore it.

  20. Terrorism just can never be justified no mater how you think about it. And a terrorist like Mandela can never be excused, NEVER, I don’t give a rats ass about his reasons or his redemption. The injuries or deaths sustained by civilians during terrorist attacks such as in 9/11 and the Boston Marathon bombing or what Mandela did years ago are completely inexcusable. and those responsible need a bullet right between their eyes or sent to rot away in a jail cell for the rest of their lives. If the Boston Bombings and in the 9/11 attacks were done because of “racism” would you excuse it? You bet you wouldn’t, and if you would then YOU are just as mush of an idiot as they are. To bomb and maim innocent people, be them women and children or anyone else and then claim it to be a justification because of Race is absolute idiocy .Nothing can justify terrorism — EVER!
And for Dave Miller to compare what nelson Mandela did in his Hay Day, to My Lai is a disgusting comparison. He should be ashamed to even mention that and the acts of Mandela in the same sentence. Yes, they acted extraordinarily brutality. And I’m not excusing it. But I will say that they were at WAR, and those people who were killed were considered or thought to be active Viet Cong sympathizers. Furthermore they were found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment.
No Halo was placed on their heads, no schools were named after them, and Our Flags were NOT hung at half staff.
And our past and present President did not run off to their funeral.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama declared a Nation Holiday to be named in his honor. You would think that he was Jesus Christ the way some of these Liberals are worshiping him.
I’m seeing Tea Party members smeared as racists, extremists, and the administration calling them Domestic Terrorists, and yet this Terrorist Mandela is being treated as a Saint. As Charlie Chan would say, “Something Wrong Here.”
