Tammy Swofford has been visiting for a few days. She arrived the day after Christmas.
Good times! We've been enjoying dining out every day and taking in a few local attractions — including a visit to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
We went to the Gallery specifically to see Heaven and Earth: Art of Byzantium from Greek Collections:

No post-Christmas blues here in the AOW household!
I'm so jealous! I'd love to live in Virginia and visit Washington DC often.
ReplyDeleteThe D.C. area is beautiful during the Christmas Season.
DeleteI've never been to Williamsburg during the Christmas Season. Maybe one of these days...

ReplyDeleteYou go for it, girl! You DESERVE a nice break like this after all you've been through.
Mr. AOW and I are loving that we have this nice break!
DeleteToday was a day of rest and recovery. All three of us made a brief trip to one of the nearby shopping malls, then to the grocery store -- followed by naps all around in the afternoon.
We were on the go all day yesterday!
Keep Mr. AOW out of the bars.
ReplyDeleteGlad things are going so well, AOW.
We haven't been hitting the bars.
DeleteWell, except for Saturday evening -- when we attended a post-funeral reception at our local VFW. One of our best friends, a former neighbor, died on Christmas Eve.
That is wonderful. I know you and Tammy, Mr. AOW and Mr. Swofford, are having a wonderful time. I'm so glad the two of you have become such good friends in 'the real world' as well as the blog/internet world.
ReplyDeleteHave a great New Year, all 4 of you.

I hope you're taking a much-needed long winter's nap, right now.
ReplyDeleteFun is fun, but it sure can be exhausting. ;-}
Glad to here you are having some good times. It's due!
ReplyDeleteTaking time off from the web was so refreshing!
ReplyDeleteOf course, it will take a few days for me to recover from all the constant-on-the-go. I'm not as young as I used to be!
