Video: The Path to Prosperity

Know the facts, and derail the Dems' path to victory in November:

Peggy Noonan on the necessary strategy:

As Ms. Noonan said:
The Democrats are going to say that he’s shark. He has to say that he’s the lifeboat.
Paul Ryan has to employ that strategy immediately BEFORE the mainstream media take charge of the issue.

  1. Yeah, I think she said he (Ryan) had about two weeks to successfully define himself. The leftwing smear machine is in overdrive.

If Ryan connects with the American people, Obama and the Pelosicrats are through.

  2. I would love to watch it but I'm going to have to eliminate videos from my Internet diet. The only ISP game in town is Wildblue, and talk about a club-footed operation. There's always a dozen connection outages every month, and I get 7.5 gigabytes of download and upload combined, PER MONTH. Ten days of this month to go and I have 1.4 gigs left. Talk abuot your crappy service providers. I pay the same price as if I had Comcast cable. Wildblue sucks.

Anyway, back to Ryan, the guy is a number cruncher nonpariel, and he's mentally very sharp. He speaks clearly in a voice that's easy to follow and listen to. Methinks Obama has more than met his match. Vote for Ryan... I mean Romney. :-)

  3. I thRyan is a very capable communicator. He will need to spend a lot of time in the swing states talking to seniors to aliviate their fears. If he does that, Obama is toast.

  4. Very enlightening, AOW ... thanks for posting this!

  5. This video needs to be seen by everyone. I just forwarded it to my addressees. Anyone who votes for B.O. is committing generational theft and can't be trusted.

  6. Worth a few minutes of your time, AOW: “Romney appeals to voters who are dissatisfied with the last four years. Obama appeals to voters who are dissatisfied with America.” —Daniel Greenfield

It is Romney/Ryan’s responsibility to deliver their message in terms that the average (under-educated) American can understand —and in a way that will counteract the communist’s plan to scare the crap out of seniors. The video is effective for those of us who have the patience of watching a 12 minute video, but it does nothing at all for strapped for time, or the mental midgets. Can they put something together in a one-minute campaign ad? Probably not … but they could put together three such ads of one minute each. The question is, will they?

  8. Fox News: Ryan budget will increase taxes on poor, middle class

    LOL!

  9. Just a thought:

Everyone on the left is claiming that Ryan's plan for Medicare will be the end of Medicare as we know it.

They conveniently ignore the fact that Obama Care is the end of Medicare as we know it.

The harsher reality is that when Medicare runs out of money, it'll be the end of Medicare as we know it.

The left is far too dense to realize that Ryan is striving to retain save these programs.

  10. Jack,
    Well said!

Medicare really is done for if something doesn't give.

With the tax base shrinking....I don't need to finish that as people can do that math for themselves.

  11. Let us not forget that Ryan's plan is a plan and not necessarily the same plan that would be passed unamended by Congress. Even if Ryan were POTUS, he wouldn't decree any such budgetary matter.

And if you haven't read Jack Whyte's comment above, please do so now!

  12. Mustang,
Yes, the message from Romney-Ryan must be simple and clear. The American electorate are not inclined to complexity. If the American electorate WERE so inclined, Obama would not have been elected in the first place.

  13. I am just hoping and praying that Ryan has what it takes and that he and Romney will be able to turn things around.

  14. I think Ryan has what it takes and MORE...who's EVER described anything as clearly as this?
Erskine Bowles is crazy about the guy.....he worked closely with him and thought the world of him.
Obama's ticked; they were counting on Rubio and I believe their big guns were aimed at him..........but it's not taking that long for the sleaze to hit the fan anyway.

IF ONLY LIBERALS WOULD WAKE UP TO THE TRUTH RYAN'S TELLING US.

  15. But ... but ... Z ... if liberals woke up to the truth, they wouldn't be liberals.

  16. My hubby wishes that Ryan was the Presidential choice, not the VP. But it is what it is.

  17. Excellent video by Ryan. I added it to my sidebar for viewing until the election in November.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

  18. I wish someone would set off a nuke or a sinkhole would swallow Beijing, or SOMETHING. The news is really developing an odor of decay. We've covered Ryan, now if Israel will just go ahead and hit Iran like they keep telling us they're going to.....

as I listen to "Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens" by the Talking Heads. Maybe for them...

  19. Stogie,
You added it to your sidebar? Great idea!

I'll contact Warren, my web master, so that I can do the same.

Go away moron, I suggest you go troll one of the preteen kiddy sites where you can impress them with your comprehension skills, wit and intelligence.... well that might not happen but give it a try.

  21. Warren,
Thanks for adding the video! I appreciate it.

Liberalidjit is too, ahem, challenged to participate in any discussion. Copy and paste over and over again. Sheesh.

  22. (finally watched the video)

Liking Ryan even more. Simple, yet effective. Language a child could understand (visuals help) yet saying something profound. Now he has got to milk that ability for all its worth- and QUICKLY. A good first impression might make this race, and if we screw this up now, I don't wanna see November...

  23. Ryan call himself a fiscal conservative yet he voted for all the major Bushs bill which weren't paid for and ruined the economy.

He calls himself a Catholic yet idolizes Ayn Rand, the anti-Religion zealot.

Now, his so called budget is exposed:

"We Haven't Run The Numbers:" A Startling Ryan Admission That's Getting Little Attention

Last night, newly ensconced Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan sat down for his first solo interview with Fox News' Brit Hume and let slip an admission about Mitt Romney's budget plan -- an admission that's receiving surprisingly little press attention. Asked by Hume when the Romney plan would balance the budget, Ryan said he didn't know because "we haven't run the numbers on that specific plan."

  24. Wildstar,
Mitt Romney doesn't cause any enthusiasm for me -- except that now, with his choice of Ryan as running mate -- Romney has proved himself as quite shrewd. He knew that he had to fire up the conservative base.

if we screw this up now, I don't wanna see November...

The GOP is notorious for pulling defeat from the jaws of victory.

On the other hand, BHO and Biden keep stepping in it. I thought that BHO would dump Biden, but apparently, after the meeting at the White House, BHO decided to keep Biden. My guess is that Hillary turned down the offer to run as VP.

Ryan, on the other hand, does make me enthusiastic about supporting the GOP ticket. Ryan and the fact that I cannot abide Barack HUSSEIN Obama. People say that his name is not his fault, but for so long BHO went by the monicker "Barry Soetoro." HERE is the Left's explanation. I have a couple of other theories. If you want to hear those theories, let me know.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Liberalmann,
BHO has governed for how many years without a budget?

Besides, it is not up to the opponent to the incumbent to present a budget.

As for Ryan's enthusiasm for Rand, it has waned.

Have you ever read any Ayn Rand? There is much more to Objectivism than atheism.

    BTW, it's not "Ryan's budget." It's RYAN'S BUDGET PROPOSAL.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hey, Liberalmann! Read THIS and not from a Rightwing web site. Excerpt:

It worked for Wisconsin Rep. Paul D. Ryan, just as it has worked for tens of thousands of Rand adherents and acolytes over the last half century, including Ronald Reagan, Jack Kemp, Ron Paul, and Bob Barr. Like many of them, the chair of the House Budget Committee and this year’s Republican candidate for vice president first encountered Rand’s novels of heroic individualism and swashbuckling capitalism in adolescence. “I grew up reading Ayn Rand, and it taught me quite a bit about who I am and what my value systems are,” the congressman told a convention of Rand followers in 2005. Rand was “the reason I got involved in public service.” A passionate convert to her black-and-white, apocalyptic worldview, Ryan also became a missionary for her ideology. He required his congressional staff to read her novels as an introduction to real-world, free-market, and monetary theory. “We start with Atlas Shrugged,” he said in 2005. “Then we move on, and we require [Austrian economists Ludwig] von Mises and [Friedrich von] Hayek as well.”...

The essay is not flattering of Ryan, but it does touch upon the appeal of Rand's philosophy.

In fact, I, a product of the 60s, read The Fountainhead and LOVED the individualism expressed therein. I had zero idea about Objectivism, but the book did fire me up about taking care of my own interests AND standing up for what I believe in -- the latter a sort of bucking of the establishment.
