When Bullies Attack

In what world is this type of bullying allowed? What life "lessons" did this boy learn as a result of what happened and how the problem was handled?

Article HERE, commentary HERE.

  1. For all their campaigns against LBGT bullying, the NEA and teachers must be unwilling to protect conservatives or anyone with traditional values.

  2. Yet anther example of the idiocy and degeneracy to which we've permitted ourselves
to sink thanks to the pernicious, all-pervasive influence of Cultural Marxism.

I have not yet read the accompanying artcle, but i can imagine what it must say. I hope once I get to it, I may find something surprising –– and hopeful.

What we NEED is a proper unerstandingof the central role JESUS CHRIST should be playing in our daily lives. We will continue on the downward path returning to brute savagery, unless and until we REALIZE how desperately we need Him, and welcome CHRIST into our hearts –– and back into our SCHOOLS and SEATS of GOVERNMENT.

    1. Franco,
Most today seem to have zero idea of what Christ taught about self-esteem, a "doctrine" of pure selfishness and a "doctrine" which has ruined at least two generation now.

    2. Yes, sure, but why continue merely to BEMOAN an obvious aberration?

Didn't Christ say, "Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good?"

The ENEMY long ago succeeded in persuading the COURTS to banish The Word from the classroom nd from all public venues of governance at every level.

THAT is what we most desperately need to FIGHT with extreme measures of nationwide CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE.

      To parody Dickens ever-so-gently:

Any person who does NOT go about with "MERRY CHRISTMAS" on his lips should be publicly EXCORIATED and OSTRACIZED.

      <];^}> HO H HO!

      Yes.

But one first has to recognize the evil.

I wish that the world did stop for Merry Christmas. Alas! It is not so. The bills roll on.

    4. Of course, but as CHRISTIANS isn't up to US –– as individuals –– to TAKE TIME to PAUSE and RECOGNIZE the Immense Gift God has bestowed on us with the Birth of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ?

The world ("Caesar" in biblical terms) will ALWAYS be a maelstrom of blood, sweat, toil, tears, broken dreams, disappointments and betrayals, BUT the daily effort we are supposed to make in prayer to INCREASEour FAITH in the ultimate Power of the Holy Spirit to TRANSFORM the way we RESPOND to the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune IS the Source of our STRENGTH, –– and of the JOY we must take in simply doing the best we can to serve the Lord with Gladness and come before His Presence with singing, and always with THANKSGIVING –– NO MATTER WHAT.

But this blog does (Musical Interludes for Advent Sundays) and will pause for the Birthday of the King. My schedule here differs from the schedule you have at your own blog.

    6. Knowing me as well as I think you ought to by now, dear friend, why would you assume I was criticizing the way you run this blog?

I rarely address the particular, and try always to address what-I-believe-to-be universal truths as revealed in the Bible, and from the insights of literary figures that do, indeed, pertain to specific issues and questions that arise.

My intent is always to encourage and cher, unless I run into an arrant fool or dedicated troublemaker.

  3. I liked this part of the article:

"The removal of corporal punishment from schools was a huge mistake. These monsters who have decided to target Joshua Trump over the name he was born with need their backsides paddled red. How fast do you think it would stop if the school actually punished these miscreants?"

Often, that is what it takes to get the attention of young boys and to focus their minds.

Who do I blame? I blame the sensationalist Infotainment Media Complex, Politoco-Tribal screamers of all stripes, and most of all, a dumbed-down American populace that eagerly consumes the third-grade level cartoon dialog churned out daily.

In a democracy, we get what we deserve. We are a tabloid nation.

      True!

Recently, one of my private students (5th grade boy with the squirmies and spoiled in the extreme by his parents, who, until very recently at my urging never reprimanded him for anything), was driving me crazy during the tutoring session.

He reached the point of getting on my last nerve.

More than halfway through the session, I growled at him, "If you don't quit fooling with that, I'm going to cram it down your throat."

Voila! Things went smoothly after that and during the subsequent week at school.

Respect and fear of punishment intersect!

    2. In other words, Silver, you DO blame the pernicious influence of Cultural Marxism for sickening current state of affairs, though you seem loath to say it directly.

if ONLY we could learn to call a spade a spade, and stop tap dancing around difficult subjects for fear of being "labelled" pejoratively, then "ostracized" by the vicious Intellectual Aggressors who virtually took over the culture long lng long before the Clintons and Obama came along.

If we steadfastly REFUSE to IDENTIFY our ENEMIES and DENOUNCE them for WHAT they ARE, how in Heaven's Name could we ever hope to DEFEAT them?

I was so pleased to hear Jon Voight, now 80 years old, declare last night on Mark Levin's excellent Sunday Evening interview show, ife, Liberty & Levin, that "Progressivism" has, INDEED, functioned as a euphemism for de facto Communist Ideology all along.

It felt so good to hear the TRUTH spoken aloud unequivocally at last. YIPPEE!

    3. I don't avoid anything; I put the blame where I think it belongs, based upon what I observe.

We are drowning in a culture of trash and sewage because that is what a significant number of us demand.

If a vast majority were fed up enough to stop consuming, patronizing and voting for it, the sewage and garbage would soon be gone from the mainstream public square.

We may not fully agree who/what comprises the “it”, but the sentiment is spot on.

    9. Canardo with his twisted, demented outlook on life is NEVER correct about anything that has to do with either Politics OR Religion.

This is not to say the Marxist Muscovy is heartless or cruel. He's not. He's not even STUPID. In fact he has a good mind, BUT his thnking was subverted and perverted by Marxian ideological conditioning probably from birth or shortly thereafter.

I know nothing of Ducky's parentage, except his claim to being Lithuanian, but he has all the earmarks of a Red Diaper Baby, even though he's not Jewish. Instead, he's from South Bahstin. In Assachewshits that appears to be the moral equivalent of being the same kind of destructive iconoclastic intellectual usually associated with New York Jews.

It's much too bad! Ducky would be a pleasant, agreeable interlocutor were it not for the moral contamination with which he was raised.

    10. Franco,
I understand where you're coming from. But, really, it does no good to scold Duck.

    11. He should at least get it right:

      1. I'm Ukrainian.

      2. I grew up distinctly middle class. Dad was a union rigger at the GE engine plant and a solid Truman Democrat.

      3. My Catholicism has weakened considerably with the church scandals and I'm turning toward Universalism in my old age.

      4. You should attend to the beam in your eye.

    12. I was not "scolding" Ducky. If you had read everything I said, I was in fact being quite generous and kind to him.

I don't believe a person of Ducky's mentality could be entirely responsible for the perversity of his brand of thinking. I believe it HAD to come from some form of pernicious outside influence. If I'm wrong, sue me. ;-)

Sorry I mistakenly remembered you as Lithuanian, Ducky, but whether you're Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Larvian, Estonian, Iranian, Panamanian or Patagonian doesn't really matter all that much in the context of what I said, which was:

"[Ducky] has all the earmarks of a Red Diaper Baby, even though he's not Jewish. Instead, he's from South Bahstin. In Assachewshits. That appears to be the moral equivalent of having the same kind of abrasive, destructive iconoclastic mentality usually associated with New York Jews."

That's hardly a scolding, it's merely an honest appraisal of what-to-all-intents-and-purposes-appears-to-be an absolute FACT.

I am appalled at what most teachers and parents have become -- enablers of bad behavior in children.

  5. The right acts as if this is a unique case a bullying and the only reason it continued was because the nasty leftists didn't care to attempt to stop it.
It's always been an easy problem to solve according to the right.

Of course it's just the opposite. The idea that you beat a few middle school kids and the problem ends is stunningly simplistic. Even if we were dumb enough to bring back corporal punishment there is no reason to believe it wouldn't aggravate this situation.

The school may have done the best it could.

  6. Everyone who has any sense left feels the same, AOW, but does anyone know –– or care –– WHY they behave as they do?

"Bad behavior" will NEVER improve –– and CERTAINLY will never CEASE ––, unless and until we isolate the ROOT CAUSE, tear it out of the "ground," and INCINERATE it.

  7. To SILVER FIDDLE who said, "We are drowning in a culture of trash and sewage because that is what a significant number of us demand."

    Yes, sure, and here's WHY:

The combined influences of the ENEMEDIA, –– the Entertainment Industry, –– Pop MewSick, –– and the EducRat Establishments all of whom who were permeated, saturated and completely taken over long ago by the crypto-Marxist mentality which has FOMENTED the ugly, degrading phenomenon you so accurately describe.

People in the main do NOT think for themselves. Most want and do what the Power of Suggestion TELLS them to want and do.

We've been subjected to an EVIL, highly potent form of MASS HYPNOSIS that Eddie Bernays, "The Father of Modern Advertising" brought into American Society back when America was still innocent and incredibly naive.

Unless and until some heretofore unknown power BREAKS the DEATHGRIP the Hollyweird-Enemedia-Madison Avenue-Poison-Ivy-League-Leftist-Jurist coalition has on the development of Public Consciousness and Public Taste, we will just CONTINUE swirling merrily down the drain toward Perdition.

I don't believe you could seriously disagree with that.

  11. We thought universities were poisoning our kids to America, but it's obvious parents are, as well. How disgusting that children are hearing such hate toward ANY president at home enough to rag on this kid.
Leftwingers, please wake up; you are damaging our country beyond recovery ...your hate is surpassing anything the Right's EVER done, so please stop the negativity toward it.
When Tony Snow died and HuffPost crashed from the huge amount of revelers who came on their site, we should have known ... it's typical, it's despicable, it's a hate that seems to never die.

More important to bring in illegals who'll vote for the goodies Dems promise but can't afford to supply....more important to kill those babies in utero, more important to push socialism so we can all be Venezuela.

If only the Left could be as reasonable as Tip O'Neil and Moynihan were....they disagreed but they still loved their country more than they hated any president.

    2. Rather than try to pick holes in your arguments, Z, please let me repeat here what I tried to say to AOW above. I hope it may help us to resist and neutralize at least some of the militant negativity that surrounds us and seems to dominate the atmosphere both in the ENEMEDIA and here in BLOGISTAN:
