Tucker Carlson On March For Our Lives

Introductory blurb from Conservative Tribune:
...Whenever someone calls Hogg out on the fact that being a shooting survivor does not make one an expert on constitutional law, gun policy, school security, or really anything other than your own experience, they’re called insensitive — almost as if the left is hiding behind these child soldiers, using them as human shields.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson has had enough of this line of thinking....

Did you note the quotation from the Parkland Manifesto @ time marker 5:50ff? Tie medical charts to a database of gun purchasers, and privacy laws should be amended so that the government keeps medical records! Wowzer!

    1. I'll summarize to save everyone from having to wade through red propaganda:

NRA! MILITIAS! KOCK BROTHERS! FILTHY MONEY!

      bla bla bla...

"merican right-wingers in uniform have been around since the Nazi and blackshirt groups of the 1930s"

"bla bla bla...Southern Poverty Law Center...(insert more alarmist shrieking here)"

      CLIVEN BUNDY!!!

      NRA NRA NRA!!!

I'm disappointed they failed to work in "Russia" and "Emoluments Claus"

    2. Let me help you out further:

Snooty progs safely ensconced in their tony Manhattan environs trying to write about those of us in flyover country is about as effective as a rightwinger trying to write about classic French cinema you are so crazy about.

Y'all need to do us a favor and just stop. You're making fools of yourselves. Watch the Roseanne reboot and you'll get a better taste of working class America, warts and all, and yes, we really are that diverse. More diverse than the stick-up-the-ass, narrow-minded, bigoted prigs who write and talk in a self-referential, self-congratulatory echo chamber.

You people keep forgetting: We surround you, and despite all they foaming yabber stoked by fully-indoctrinated guilty white males like you, we ain't going anywhere, and its a good thing for you because your cute little rooftop garden with the heirloom snap peas won't keep you fed all year.

    7. Ducky, your article is full of the usual false narrative, but that's to be expected anytime someone from the gun control camp proffers "reasoned" scholarship on the 2nd Amendment.

The gun control camp cannot produce a SINGLE primary source that illustrates the Framers desired the RKBA ONLY in relation to duties in a militia....whereas the civil rights side has reams of quotes and writings, with their prior sourcing.

None of this mitigates that firearms at used in crimes, and have been immorally used by the State against Citizens and indigenous peoples....but the breadth of the "reasoned" article is fear-mongering hyperbole.

      - CI

The CDC was NOT banned from conducting research; it was prohibited from taking a side in the gun control debate, after former CDCD Director Mark Rosenberg spewed "We need to revolutionize the way we look at guns, like we did with cigarettes. Now it [sic] is dirty, deadly and banned".

You don't like NRA money in politics? Neither do I. Let's have that conversation....but let's being with lobbying that gives far, far more money to politicians...like unions.

  3. If children were concerned for school safety, they would demand an end to federal policy forcing school districts to accept violent juvenile delinquents (to include those returning from incarceration). They would also demand an end to federal policy preventing schools from expelling violent monsters.

  6. Parkland Survivor David Hogg Calls on Advertisers
to Boycott Laura Ingraham’s Fox News Show

David Hogg, one of the most outspoken survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, is pushing back against Laura Ingraham’s taunts.

Ingraham, a conservative radio host and author, teased Hogg about the 17-year-old’s rejections from college.

“David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it,” she tweeted Wednesday with a link to a Daily Wire article. “(Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA...totally predictable given acceptance rates.)”

Hogg told TMZ that he had been rejected from UC Los Angeles, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine, but accepted at Florida Atlantic University, Cal Poly and Cal State San Marcos.

"I am not surprised at all, in all honesty,” he told the gossip site.

“I think there's a lot of amazing people that don't get to college, not only that do things like I do but because their voices just aren't heard in the tsunami of people that apply every year to colleges in such an economic impacted school system here which we have here in America where people have to go into massive amounts of debt just to go to college and get an education," he said.

Marchers arrive for the 'March For Our Lives' rally against gun violence in Washington, D.C., March 24, 2018. Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators are expected to take to the streets, calling for gun control following the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, where 17 students died.

March for Our Lives rallies across the country
Hogg, who has been outspoken about gun control since 17 of his classmates were shot and killed, responded to Ingraham after her jeers.

“Soooo @IngrahamAngle what are your biggest advertisers ... Asking for a friend,” he tweeted.

Around 9:30 p.m., he published a list of advertisers, asking his 595,000 followers to call the companies, including Hulu, Liberty Mutual and Sleep Number.

He also tweeted directly at the businesses, asking if they will continue their support of the Fox News host.

From what I´ve read, he himself admitted he wasn´t at the school at the time it happened but had to pedal three miles to get there from home. Not only that I read yesterday that several students at the school where the shooting occurred bullied Nikolas Cruz.

You know how I feel about bullying. I may not agree with someone´s lifestyle, or looks, or whatever but that doesn´t give me the right to be nasty to that person. As a matter of fact, if you don´t like me then leave me alone. It seems as if bullies need to intimidate to bring up their level of confidence.

It sounds as if Nikolas Cruz was very troubled and a lot of people looked the other way because of Obama´s programs. How many people bullied and poked fun of him instead of finding him some help?

So now you know what I think of bullies, Obama´s programs and David Hogg. I think they are a whole bunch of phonies.

We need people who really, really care. Now you know why I voted for Donald Trump. He wasn´t my first choice because of his flaws and weaknesses. He is someone who really, really cares about the United States. Sorry to politicize this whole message but that is who David Hogg is all about.

Phonies- David Hogg and Barack Obama.

I do think it was not very bright of Laura to use such a tactic. It smacks of a cheap partisanship I think unworthy of her.

ALSO: I cannot STAND he way both Trucker and Laura –– Hannity too, of course –– badger and bully their Leftist "Guests" by CONSTANTLY talking over them. O'Reilly did that too. I stopped watching HIM years ago.

Hogg is a repugnant little wanna be revolutionist. Sadly, he is also misinformed and uneducated in the truth. Facts matter little to these types of individuals. They validate their feelings through arrogance, sanctimony, and hubris. Problem is this kid doesn’t even know what he doesn’t know. He will take one of two paths: 1) continue in this vein for the rest of his life and become more annoyingly wrong and muleheaded in his beliefs, or 2) have an enormous epiphany one day and realize his whole philosophical construct has been built on lies and then turn to the truth. I hope he chooses the second path, but I doubt he will be able to resist the notoriety that he is receiving now long enough to even listen to reason. He needs to shake off the bonds of progressivism that binds him from hearing the truth. He is going to come down hard when he is no longer useful to the left. Then maybe he will have an opportunity to actually Iisten to reason.

The strategy of academia from K through grad school is to prevent the malleable brains of their soon to be totally indoctrinated charges to hear the truth. Better that debate is shut down than risk the chance of some of their students actually learning to reason for themselves when presented with facts. Campuses across this country are filled with this kind of censorship and they produce Borgs Iike Hogg in vast numbers. Put the spotlight on them and they feel invincible. Hogg is a text book example of their strategy.

I feel sorry for David Hogg. He has been brainwashed, manipulated by the democrat communists, and above all has been badly let down by his parents who have aided and abetted in this form of child abuse.

David Hogg is going to have a very difficult life ahead of him over the next few years in dealing with what has been done to him and for his actions.

Let´s not forget that he is still a minor and the product of his upbringing by his parents and the democratic party communists who control his education. There is no excuse for his awful behavior over the past months and there will be severe life consequences for his actions.

The real people who should be exposed and excoriated for David´s unhinged behavior is his worthless parents, the school communist administrators, that worthless toad Sheriff Israel, and the democrat party communists who have used Hogg and will discard him shortly like used tissue paper.

I hope that at some point he will break with his parents and find the right path for his life.

  8. NOTE to DUCKY who in his characteristically snotty fashion derisively referred to Tucker Carlson as "L'il Tucker:"

THIS from WIKIPEDIA'S BIO of TUCKER CARLSON:

"Tucker Carlson stands at a stunning height of 6 feet 1 inch which is what makes him peculiarly attractive ... While it is not sure if Tucker works out in order to stay fit, but [at 48] his current outlook must be praised well."

He's an unusually good-looking dude –– for a poitical commentator –– well-scrubbed, clean-cut, wholesome, still boyish in mid-life. He's a got lovely looking wife. They have four or five children together.

My only problem with Tucker is his VOICE. He should have received elocution lessons –– that's formal training in Diction and Voice
Production for those of you in Rio Linda –– before being allowed to speak publicly. Tucker's tenor voice gets very squeaky when he's excited, and it makes him sound childish and emotonally immature, which he most assuredly is not.

That may said of MOST TV news people today, however, –– especially the WOMEN most of whim sound as though they're still in SECOND GRADE.

Jessica Tarlow and that awful Kimberly Guilfoyle (discarded wife of ultra-leftist Gavin Newsom!) sound like fire sirens out-of-control.

To be honest Dana Perino is not that much better, and Lisa KENNEDY, who has her own show on FBN at 9:00 PM (competing with Hannity) is a bright, interesting personality, but her VOICE has all the appeal of an electric drill or a vegetable grater.

    1. A reliable progressive tactic is to march out mouthpieces from one of the protected classes; in this case children who have experience the horror of having classmates murdered in their school.

They did it brilliantly with Barack Obama. People opposing his one-world progressivism had to be extra careful.

It is a pathos-based logical fallacy to vest such people with an aura of "moral authority that shall not be questioned," but it works beautifully.

    David Hogg Is Quickly
Learning How to Be a Bully

    PJ Media, by Jim Treacher

When is it okay to talk back to someone who keeps falsely branding you a murderer? Well, that depends on whether he´s being funded by Republicans or Democrats. Ever since the shooting last month at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., a student named David Hogg has become the new face of the gun-confiscation movement. He´s everywhere you look, telling you that if you disagree with him, you´ve got blood on your hands. If you´ve managed to miss his schtick, here´s a quick recap from David Rutz at the Washington Free Beacon:(Snip for video)Subtle, right? Now, I'm not going to blame ...

"What a lot of the media, and especially Fox News, has messed up with me is they've made it seem like I'm trying to take away people's guns — that I'm against the Second Amendment," Hogg said during a broadcast at the March for Our Lives rally Saturday in Washington, D.C. "My father is a retired FBI agent. I have guns in my house. I'm not against the Second Amendment."
"I'm trying to push for commonsense gun reform and mental illness reform so we can make sure that these individuals that have a criminal background that are mentally unstable and have a history of domestic violence are no longer able to get a gun," he said. "I don't understand what's so hard to understand about this. We simply want to save lives and democracy

The law, as it is currently written, already prohibits the sale of firearms to people who are mentally unstable, or who have criminal histories, or records of domestic violence. If the law isn't working, then we end up at a place where we must acknowledge that the problem resides among police departments and school districts that conveniently look the other way in matters of juvenile-centric violence. It is up to our several layers of officials to enforce law; they aren't doing that. Denying access to firearms to those who do not break the law is punishing the many for the sins of the very, very few. Beyond this, we don't live in a democracy; we live in a republic, whose foundation is the law, which governs us all equally, and which does include the Second Amendment. I do not believe we can sustain our American Republic without the Second Amendment.

I have no doubt that Mr. Hogg is sincere. He is simply naive, or perhaps willfully ignorant about the facts.
