Disney Characters

(If you must have politics, please scroll down)

The features of some of Disney's cartoon characters were changed into real-life appearance by artist Karen Graw.

Do you recognize any of them?

  1. I'm sorry to say that NONE of this makes any sense whatsoever. It is unconvincing, pointless, and it has NO appeal -- to ME. A complete waste of time and effort.

    1. I knew a few of these Disney characters (such as Cinderella and Snow White), but not many of them outside the period of my childhood -- except for Quasimodo, of course.

    2. But QUASIMODO is a character created by Victor Hugo in his great novel the Hunchback of Notre Name. It was made into a splendid movie c. 1940. Charles Laughton was memorably touching as the heroic hunchback and Maureen O'Hara as Esmeralda, te victim of wicked clerical abuse of power.

What DISNEY had to do with it I can't imagine. Disney ceased being Disney when the obnoxious guy with the nose job that went wrong -- Michael Somebody -- took over. Poor Walt must be writhing in his grave at the MUCK made of his once-great, uniquely AMERICAN company.

Disney Studios became jus another Hollywood CRAP FACTORY withy the appearance of Who Killed Roger Rabbit?

    3. FT,
In 1996, Walt Disney Pictures released
      an animated version
of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I've heard that this animated musical drama was quite good, but I haven't seen it.

    4. PS: I've seen the Charles Laughton version several times. Excellent, absolutely excellent!

    1. BZ,
You have to be a rabid Disney fan to understand the point of this post.

Now, I'm not that much of a fan of Disney's later work. I loved the studio's work while Walt Disney was in charge, however.

  4. Sorry, don't have much to add. I've never been a big fan of Disney and his empire.
