Promo: Sharia Law and Order

  1. Sam,
You'll love my post tomorrow! A relevant follow-on to this video you have posted.

Shari'a incursion into the West is the elephant in the room. Meanwhile, America sleeps on.

  2. Christ Jesus said:

"Be not overcome by evil, but instead overcome evil with good."

More and more, as I get closer and closer to the end of my earthly days, I realize that the Holy Word of Jesus Christ is, indeed, our only hope. All else is Vanity and Vituperation.

    1. FT,
Not the words of Jesus but appropriate, I think:

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.” -- Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Several times in His words, our Lord Jesus Christ made it clear that it an abomination to accept evil as a-okay in the name of peacemaking.

For example, we read in Revelation 3:16:

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

In my view, overcoming evil with good doesn't mean rolling over and making excuses for evil. Not that you meant that in your comment, FT. It cannot be good to apply certain aspects of shari'a.

    2. From the Sermon on the Mount:

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

And the fruits of shari'a law are?

    3. Just this old post of mine from last year over at Western Hero. Eternal truths never cease to apply. ;-)

That, of course, is IT -- The Holy Grail of doctrinal and ideological aims and objectives -- The Pearl of Great Price -- The Goal towards which we should strive.

      "Return not evil for evil."

      "Never respond in kind."

"A soft answer turneth away wrath."

"Forgive them, Father, they know not what they do."

"Blessed are ye when men shall revile you and persecute you and say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake."

All of that is rooted in The Golden Rule.

      What could be simpler?

We need to ask ourselves why we want always to argue against the precepts that have the power to lead us out of the Darkness and Desperation in which most seem to dwell -- as if by CHOICE?

  3. Forces beyond our control are at work. When the irrational becomes an accepted norm as rational, pure evil is afoot IMO.

  4. I'm just curious if any of the Islamic scholars here can tell me where sharia is recorded.

  5. I’m just curious if Ducky understands how to structure a question in the English language.

    1. Sharia is recorded in the countless millions of tortured, maimed, raped and murdered bodies it has strewn in its path, Canardo. Your silly game of constantly trying to defend the indefensible is not only absurd it is also destructive to common sense, good order, and public safety.

Is it your idea of practicing "Christian Love" merely to roll over and play dead for manifest evil?

    2. And Sam immediately goes ad hominem.

Why? Because this thing he calls sharia is not codified. There is no single "sharia" and not knowing that makes him rather unqualified to comment.

When you can take on the rather thorny task of separating cultural from religious aspects of the Muslim world you might have something to say that is useful.

In the meantime you're just joining the kick line with FT and strutting your ignorance.

    3. @ Ducky

There was no ad hominem assault; it was merely a suggestion that if you intend to foster dialogue, that you do it in the English language. There is no reason for you to get all girly about it.

As to your inane statement, there are two primary and a few secondary sources of Shari’ a Law. The first is the Qur’an, and examples established by Mo in the Sunnah. We might regard the others as “case law.” As far as how these are “creeping” into US common law, Texas and Maryland have allowed Shari’ a Law into arbitration courts. Keep it up buster, and one day some Imam will rip off your head.

    4. Now stop being silly, Sam and try again.
I did not ask for the sources of sharia (you forgot the Old Testament).

Now, let's try again. Where is sharia recorded?
Of course the answer is that there is no universal sharia and without knowing that you really shouldn't be talking.

Yes, there are sharia courts and if both parties agree torts are heard in these courts (not criminal law). There are also Orthodox Judaic courts which operate under very similar law and try similar tort and divorce cases.

The courts are well received because there is common agreement by both parties and fewer appeals which relieves court volume.

Pitch till you win but you really are very poorly informed and easily manipulated. Try learning.

    5. Duck,
You know full well that there is no list of commandments of shari'a. Sam also knows that fact full well.

That said, note the following information about shari'a (obviously, not from an "Islamophobic" source):

"At the most basic level, Sharia is the Muslim universe of ideals. It is the result of their collective effort to understand and apply the Quran and supplementary teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (called Sunna) in order to earn God's pleasure and secure human welfare in this life and attain human salvation in the life to come prescriptive and normative way that a good Muslim is supposed to live his/her life." While this includes legal norms, it goes beyond just legal injunctions and includes aspects of good behavior, aesthetics and also personal responsibility, derived from Islam's rich 1400 year old history.

Shari'a can differ based on the tone of a particular Muslim community; nevertheless, certain core principles are agreed upon based upon the Koran and the Sunna.

      From the CFR:

Some interpretations are used to justify cruel punishments such as amputation and stoning, as well as unequal treatment of women in inheritance, dress, and independence. The debate is growing as to whether sharia can coexist with secularism, democracy, or even modernity, an idea that is being tested by several countries in the Middle East looking to rewrite their constitutions.

Also see this page: "Punishment and Equality Under Sharia."

Shari'a as you are wont to portray it is not all sweetness and light after all, or does it involve only what you refer to as sharia courts deciding tort matters and divorce cases.

The vast majority of Muslims interpret shari'a as forbidding the blaspheming of the prophet. And a significant group of Muslims want to punish any and all who blaspheme the prophet. The problem arises with the push to govern by shari'a even in Western nations.

  6. That is good, but they could have gone so much further. The UK and other nations in the EU have bent over backwards. There is no turning back for them. The US still has a chance. I even heard Bob Beckel say we should have no more muslims immigrating into the US and no more mosques built. I agree.\

  7. We can learn gun control from the UK, but not control of sharia law. Up is down. Irrational is rational. It's a crazy world.

  8. Bob Beckel is an idiot. We can control migration from the Middle East and North Africa, but that in and of itself does not preclude Mohammedans from migrating to the US. I do not think the Department of State inquires into an applicant’s religion. How would we know whether a Dane, who is also a Mohammedan, poses a threat, particularly one whose ancestry is Turkish?

Moreover, on what grounds does any government prohibit the construction of mosques? It is an impossible task, Debbie … not to mention the fact that our problem is the boiling cauldron here at home … as in Boston. Do we deport or exile people who are (now) legally entitled to be here?

    1. You put FAR too much stock in The Law, sir. Too much of the time " The Law" really is an ASS. Our primary duty is to protect ourselves and our own best interests. If "The Law" interferes with that, then "The Law" must either be revoked or disregarded.

  10. Would someone please explain to me why, so called, liberal western women marry those ultra chauvinistic POS? Also why would anyone, in his/her right mind, ever want to go anywhere under Muslim/Moslem/Islamic jurisdiction or in anyway under the influence of their, so called, culture?

    1. Jon,
For various reasons, some Western women find that Muslim men have a great deal of sex appeal, in part because of their physical appearance and in part because courting methods are extravagant. Or so I've been told.

    1. Tut tut, my dear! What you need is a nice cup of tea. Then, take two aspirin, go lie down and have a nice nap. I'm sure you'll feel much better afterwards. Works for me every time I let myself get overwrought. Aromatherapy can work wonders too if the condition persists. Learning to mine one's own business would doubtless be a great help too.

  16. Romans Chapter 12 (KJV)

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

    6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

    7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

    10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

    11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

    12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

So it was St. Paul, but he certainly got all his ideas from Jesus, even though he surely was the most eloquent of the apostles. It was rather like Jefferson getting his ideas for the Declaration from John Locke, Voltaire, and Emmerich Vatel. EVERYTHING emantes from God. We can of our own selves do NOTHING.

  17. One interpretation of shari'a:

'You are a married woman. You don’t do this': Muslim subjected his wife to a year of 'hell' and terrorised her into wearing a veil after she said she wanted to go to college

Jubel Miah, 21, from Burnley ripped her tongue and kicked and punched her

Miah was jailed for 16 weeks after admitting common assault by beating

  18. From October 2009:

[Barack Obama's adviser on Muslim affairs, Dalia Mogahed] described her White House role as “to convey… to the President and other public officials what it is Muslims want.”

The White House adviser made the remarks on a London-based TV discussion programme hosted by Ibtihal Bsis, a member of the extremist Hizb ut Tahrir party.

The group believes in the non-violent destruction of Western democracy and the creation of an Islamic state under Sharia Law across the world.

During the 45-minute discussion, on the Islam Channel programme Muslimah Dilemma earlier this week, the two members of the group made repeated attacks on secular “man-made law” and the West’s “lethal cocktail of liberty and capitalism”.

They called for Sharia Law to be “the source of legislation” and said that women should not be “permitted to hold position of leadership in government”.

Miss Mogahed made no challenge to these demands and said that “promiscuity” and the “breakdown of traditional values” were what Muslims admired least about the West.

Moghaed is credited with helping Obama to draft his Cairo speech.

  19. Moreover, freedom in America is indivisible from the freedom to practice one’s religion. That is why there is a mosque in every state in our union, and over 1,200 mosques within our borders. That’s why the United States government is slowly but surely going into 3rd world-ism.
