  2. 'Obama On Holocaust Remembrance Day Refers To Systematic Slaughter of 6 Million Jews as "Senseless Violence"'

I don't see anything particularly wrong about that. We could hardly call it "sensible violence," could we?

The worst thing about that oft-repeated threnody is its consistent failure to acknowledge the deaths of an estimated FOURTEEN MILLION other poor souls who ALSO perished in the Death Camps.

I, personally, think it's outrageous that the world has chosen to ignore THOSE deaths, as though THOSE victims didn't really MATTER somehow.

All tolled something like ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE MILLION were killed in World War Two.

Why aren't THEY given a special Remembrance Day too?

  3. I don't think it is your purpose, but I get overwhelmed every time you post nincompoopery.

  4. Ed,
I collect nincompoopery information, but force myself to limit the number of links that I COULD include.

  5. FT,
I wouldn't refer to the mass murders during the Holocaust, under Stalin's regime, at Pearl Harbor, on 9/11, etc. A better term might be "atrocity."

What happened at Newtown could be classified as "senseless violence," I suppose.

  6. What are you and I going to do with our crown Vic? We cannot use 15 percent ethanol.

  7. "journalists who covered President Barack Obama during the campaign were sometimes so overcome by his presence that they would “lose their minds” and behave in “juvenile” and “amateurish”

The same could be said for the IDIOTS that voted for this hopless fraud!

  9. Remember this piece of timeless wisdom, dear children. It will stand you in good stead. After you've internalized it you can take it to the bank:

We learn more about Peter from what he says about Paul than we learn about Paul.

  10. You're right, of course, AOW. but saying "senseless violence, " instead of "atrocity" is certainly not the worst gaffe I've heard coming out of Washington, DC. The language coming out of most public figures today -- from both parties -- is just this side of atrocious. I feel embarrassed for our country every time one of these mountebanks opens his, her or its mouth.

Also, I would insist that what I said about the broad scope of the carnage in the horror that was World War Two is perfectly true -- Jews were not the only victims systematically murdered in the Concentration camps -- yet that has been the impression deliberately cultivated and promoted by the enemedia, since the Allies defeated the Axis powers.

Why that should be is anyone's guess, but I don't like it, and I don't HAVE to like it. Half truths can be every bit as pernicious as outright lies.

"If a piece of the continent is washed away, Europe is the less ... Ask not for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."

John Donne says in that poem, "I am involved with all mankind." He didn't say with Englishmen, or Caucasian men, or Celtic men, or Asian, or African, or Semitic, or Indian men, or even Christian men, he said ALL men.

And THAT is the point I am determined to make.

  11. Still harping on Benghazi, I see.

No mention about the updated security measures in Ankara which saved lives?

  12. Duck,
Increased security in Ankara doesn't go with the "Nincompoopery" title of the blog post.

You are absolutely correct about that.

One of my colleagues years ago had various members of her family killed during the reign of terror of the Third Reich. He family was Roman Catholic -- and brunettes.

  15. Bunkerville,
Our Crown Vics are safe for the moment. I don't know how old your Crown Vic is, but I'm hoping that mine (1996) doesn't "live" long enough to be declared obsolete.

Crown Vics are GREAT cars! The local police officers whom I personally know are ticked off about the fact that Ford no longer makes the model.

  16. As a former combat veteran, and a patriotic American I have watched our political system from Vietnam onward and have seen corruption and lying before. BUT, this time in watching Obama and Hillary Clinton team up to fool the American Public I am truly flummoxed. I have grandchildren whom I no longer know how to advise. I have eternally stupid acquaintances who say they will vote for this half- breed Chicago gangster in spite of his abundant lies. I observe a press and TV media who are the Pravda of our age. We have a Congress that is stunningly malignant and amoral and a whole administration who cannot tell the truth, AND CARE NOT!
If this evil thing continues on the path that he is currently on I have no doubt that a civil war will erupt. It will be the outgrowth of a violent revolution similar to the French Revolution in the 18th century.

Romney lost and we all lost with him..

  17. Dearest Ducky, It's called "Harping" when We the People ask our employees to please tell the truth? It gets very annoying when a department head and Democrat darling tells the American people and the families of the four dead Americans, "What difference does it make."

    ReplyDelete
  18. "We are living in a surreal alternate universe."

I don't think so, AOW. You've got it backwards. It is THEY not WE who are living in a Parallel Universe.

It is WE who live in REALITY, THEY in La-La Land.

If that's not true, we're in REAL trouble. ;-)
