The Profligacy Of The Obamas

(With a hat tip to Reliapundit of THE ASTUTE BLOGGERS)

Obama likes to portray himself as the champion of the poor and the middle class.

HE. IS. NOT.

He loves to demonize Mitt Romney because Romney is rich.

AHEM!

Obama is such a hypocritical phony that the mind reels (the Daily Caller, dated September 26, 2012):
Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion dollars on everything from staffing, housing, flying and entertaining President Obama and his family last year, according to the author of a new book on taxpayer-funded presidential perks.

In comparison, British taxpayers spent just $57.8 million on the royal family.

Author Robert Keith Gray writes in “Presidential Perks Gone Royal” that Obama isn’t the only president to have taken advantage of the expensive trappings of his office. But the amount of money spent on the first family, he argues, has risen tremendously under the Obama administration and needs to be reined in.

Gray told The Daily Caller that the $1.4 billion spent on the Obama family last year is the “total cost of the presidency,” factoring the cost of the “biggest staff in history at the highest wages ever,” a 50 percent increase in the numbers of appointed czars and an Air Force One “running with the frequency of a scheduled air line.”

  2. Well yes, he's a phony. Can't imagine why anyone would argue that point.

Don't know why the right wing bloggers don't pound on Michelle's $300k hack job that was eliminated when she left after his election. Community relations or some such hack position.
She was nothing but a cheap influence peddler who received a huge raise when he was elected to the state senate.

Of course Ann Romney is so far in the freaking ozone that she thinks her salad days living off a trust fund were tough.

    A pair of stiffs.

Voe Green, Jill Stein is a very intelligent woman with a good command of the issues.

  4. It is clear we cannot afford them. Not that the Fed can't print the money- that's another issue. They are living like Emperors. Enough! And yes, Average American, neither can the economy! Well said.

  5. Anyone who thinks that the White House budget has any serious effect on the deficit or the economy really shouldn't participate in this discussion.

The issue is character not economics.
