Obama: "The law I passed is here to stay"

Ahem. According to the United States Constitution, Congress passes bills that are signed into law by the President of the United States.

From this source:
...Sen. Obama, who has taught courses in constitutional law at the University of Chicago, has regularly referred to himself as "a constitutional law professor," most famously at a March 30, 2007, fundraiser when he said, "I was a constitutional law professor, which means unlike the current president I actually respect the Constitution."...
I am at a loss for a printable commentary to Obama's statement of July 5, 2012 (the above video).

  1. Hi AOW.

To say it with these infamous words in French "L'Ć©tat, c'est moi."

  2. Good grief!

What is WRONG with Obama? Dated today, July 6, 2012:

POLAND, Ohio -- President Obama brushed past a gloomy jobs report today, saying the economy has created 4.4 million jobs in the past 28 months.

"That's a step in the right direction," Obama told about 350 people packed into an elementary school gym, "but we can't be satisfied."

Obama spoke a few hours after the Labor Department reported 80,000 jobs in June...

  4. When a president has the mindset that it's ALL HIM, how can we expect him not to pass bills without allowing people to read them? Or issuing executive orders, or evoking privilege, or appointing czars late on Friday nights...? or, or or...
Today he spoke in Ohio and said "we had some folks over at our house on the 4th".... what president says "our house"... how folksy, huh?
    grrrrr

  8. I think the point is Obama thinks himself a demigod and you his dutiful worshipper groveling on your knees.

We were or a Nation of free persons and we resent someone acting like a king for we have no king but the Lord. We do not bow to our elected representatives. This guy is an abomination.

If a Republican acted this way you would be beside yourself with anger but you excuse his tyrannical rule because you are owned.

I recently read the Declaration of Indepedence again and in it there is a list of tyrannical behaviours by the King of England. Read it yourself and you we see Obama has committed some of these acts. BY the definition of our own Declaration he is a tyrant. Why our Congress and Supreme sit in fear of this man just baffles me as we slip further and further away from the ideals that founded this great Nation this Nation under God and not under any President.

  9. Blogginator,
...Obama thinks himself a demigod and you his dutiful worshipper groveling on your knees.

    I, too, believe that.

I'm also coming to the opinion that this man is deranged. Medically deranged.

I do not say the above as an excuse for him but as my own observation.

Two of his recent statements, the private-sector one and the we-are-on-right-road one AFTER yesterday's employment figures came out, have caused me to think that he's literally unhinged -- unhinged by something more than his Leftist ideology and his desperation to win in November.

Call my observation woman's intuition if you like.

As I've often said, I want him drug tested for uppers of any kind.

Addendum: Good point about the Declaration of Independence.

  11. Actually, for Obama's goals we are on the right path. And we are doing just fine arguing over who is dating who in Hollywood, discussing some new movie like Magic Mike, and trying to decide if it is a tax or a penatly...

On the one hand, I see the logic of Chief Justice Roberts for he is right that if the electorate is dumb enough to vote in a guy like Obama and folks like Pelosi then they deserve what they get. Unfortunately, and I mean with all due respect Chief Justice Roberts, you job is to protect the US Constitution and the rest of us from the diminished intelligence of an Obama voter. You failed sir.
