He Died For Me

He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

  2. I felt compelled to post in observance of Good Friday. I will also post on Easter Sunday in observance of the most important day on the Christian calendar.

But I'm not going to hang over the computer keyboard all day long for the foreseen future.

  3. And He died for me. The importance is that he also arose and we worship a living Lord. Amen.

  5. Debbie,
Yes. First, He served as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, then rose to defeat death and bring us sinners eternal life.

I will have a Resurrection Day post, too, of course. My Redeemer lives!

  11. "Greater love hath no man than this, than to lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

Whenever I ponder His glorious sacrifice, I continue to marvel at the depth of His love for me.

It is humbling, to say the least.

  12. Happy Easter AOW!

I was surprised that there was a show today. While listening to IQ, it dawned on me that there is a statement that makes the case against islam very clear.

The 6th (or 5th) commandment states, "Thou shalt NOT murder." The koran states, "Thou shalt murder!" That sums it up in a nutshell.

  14. WingCommander,
Yes, WC and I did host the radio show on Good Friday. I picked the topic of Islam's view of Jesus so as to debunk the myth about how much common ground Islam and Christianity have with regard to Jesus' purpose and identity.

Thanks for tuning in to the show!

  16. Happy Easter! Mike mentions lilies. I love the yellow tulips also available during this season. That, and biting the ears off the chocolate Easter bunny.

Most of all, thankful for Jesus.

    Smiling,

  19. What???

“Over 2,000 years ago, a crucifixion occurred — Jesus’,” said the Rev. Kenneth James Flowers of the Michigan Progressive Baptist Convention. “Now some 2,000 years later, our Muslim brothers and sisters are being crucified by one Pastor Terry Jones.”

The above stated on Good Friday!

    And that's not all:

Highly respected evangelical pastor John Piper made a startling yet insightful comment Tuesday when he compared the burning of the Islamic holy book to crucifying Christ.
