Musical Interlude

(For politics, please scroll down)

One of my favorite classical pieces — the first movement of Symphony No. 40 (1788) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791):

Peace.  Wouldn't that be nice?

    1. I feel that way on the inside, but am trying to maintain peace on the outside.

    2. I suffer no illusions that the election results will be reversed... but I want the election system cleaned up and see REAL penalties imposed for even the most minor electoral infractions for th sake of future elections. The deep blue cities have been getting away with MURDER for FAR TOO LONG.

    3. I want the election system cleaned up as well. republicans have been getting away with disenfranchising people who are legally entitled to vote for too long. Because keeping certain people from voting is the only way they can win. "deep blue cities" aka majority black cities. Being African American and voting for the party that best represents you is "fraud" in the eyes of republicans.

    4. Dervish,
republicans have been getting away with disenfranchising people who are legally entitled to vote for too long.

      As in the DEMOCRAT Dixiecrats?

Puhleeze. It is the Democrat Party with the history of disenfranchising brown skins.

    5. Furthermore, it is not disenfranchisement to require all voters to be properly identified.

  2. I love this piece, too...and yes, peace would be SO nice...

FJ is right...MURDER for FAR TOO LONG: sadly, that's metaphorical and a reality....too many murders in blue cities and calls to defang the cops (I don't use deFUND, it's really deFANG...got to send shrinks instead of guns. What is with the Left? They don't think things through.....hoping no domestic brawls where shrinks are sent suddenly involve the husband getting his gun...THINK, people...THINK, then make your ridiculous rules). Oh, AOW, how fast things have gone downhill since we started blogging....you hit it when you said "The Gathering Storm"...we didn't know what a storm it would be, but it sure came :-(
