The Destructive Power Of Obama's Jobs Bill

(With a hat tip to Bunkerville)

First, a videographic history lesson:

From Noisy Room:
Section 376 of Obama’s tax and spend “jobs” bill ends state sovereignty, turns our Republic into a dictatorship and destroys the foundation upon which our country was built.

[...]

Wake up Governors!! Wake up America!! Tell Congress about Section 376 and why they must not pass this bill.

Obama’s tax and spend “jobs” bill is a stealth move to end state sovereignty....
Read the specifics about Section 376 HERE.

  1. I don't know if it's all that, but I do know that removing $1.5 trillion from the economy is not the way to grow jobs.

  2. Silverfiddle,
The states have been ceding their Constitutional authority for decades. I have no doubt that the jobs bill also undermines state authority, particularly as the bill does promote state dependence on the federal government. So have the stimulus bills, for that matter.

  3. No doubt on the states rights, AOW.

The erosion has been going on for a century, so this hyperventilating now, while well intentioned and not misplaced, is not the worst of this bill.

The job-killing tax increases are the bigger danger.

  4. It is things like this that confirm what Herman Cain said. Bills should never be fore than 3 pages long.

The Libs write these long involved bills and stick in all their unicorn wishes. Some don't bother to read them. It is a shame and should never happen.

  5. Thanks for the Hat Tip. There was no need whatsover to include this in this bill, or any other. Another sneak attack that they will not get away with, one can only hope.

  6. Governors and Mayors will be frothing at the mouth for a chance to get some more money from the Federal Government. State sovereignty will be the last thing on their minds. Very scary!

    Agreed.

But I'm looking at the undermining of our Constitution in this post.

We may well have reached the point that the concept of federalism will not matter to the average person until the average person realizes that enslavement via taxes and dependency upon the federal government is completely accomplished. **sigh**

A few states are trying to exercise their Constitutional authority. But I can't say that those few states are very successful in that regard.

Honestly, I don't know why I bother to blog at all. In many respects, we are an echo chamber wherein misery loves company.

  8. AOW, I know blogging can be exhausting and sometimes we feel we are aren't making a difference, but I believe we are.

I learn many new things from you, Z, Silver and many conservatives who are in the fight to save our nation.

Our faith, optimism and strength will carry us through.

  9. AOW.. They are counting on us getting weary. In truth, I am starting to belive we are influencing the world more than ourselves. I am astounded that I have so many foreign readers and the strange places they come from. When I made the Sunni Forum Board I knew I had arrived:))

  11. Oh, I'm not giving up. I'm not a quitter.

    But I AM frustrated.

I hope that I've not even more frustrated after Election Day 2012.

  14. Go easy, bd, they're on a contact high from the Dsvis execution.

  15. Ducky, what a despicable thing to say about the Davis execution. You know ANYBODY who's happy about an execution? no offense, but, JERK.

Leticia, thanks SO much for that...

Bunkerville's right; they are counting on wearing us down...they're NUTS if they think they will.

  16. Hey Z, it's your party who cheered at the loony tunes debate when Perry talked about the 200+ he executed.

So, do you denounce the death penalty? Because the GOP is REAL good at killing people.

  17. z, you link to a blog that is quite happy about it.

    I say: Huh?

Now, I personally don't have a problem with capital punishment. But I've never cheered when a criminal was executed. Not even when Bundy was executed -- or the man who raped a family member AND killed three women (that the authorities knew of - final count undetermined).

  19. Bd,
the GOP is REAL good at killing people

Prove it. Let's see your list.

Here, I'll get you started: John Wayne Gacy. Oops! He was a Democratic Party precinct captain.

Of course, on the other hand, Ted Bundy was a Republican.

In the course of history, how many people have Communists and other Leftists killed?

Get a clue, Bd. If you're capable of doing so.

  20. Only a Democrat/Liberal cheers when a unborn baby is killed and crys when a serial killer is no longer allowed to harm good people. Believe it or not myself and several others considered all the cheering at Osamas death as cruel and strange. Sure be glad but then remember he was a human....once. So no we do not rejoice in the death of criminals but we do understand society can not function with such people in our midst.

  21. Aow and fellow conservatives.

The liberals on this site has successfully deflected you from the original thread. We can not allow ourselves to be deflected from the truth. DNC/lberal policies have destroyed the US economy and the "little people" are suffering as a result. This bill is nothing more than an attempt to fatten Obama's war chest as the money will be funneled through the Unions and back to the DNC.
