Democrats Commit Bloopers

A while back, Bob Mack compiled the following list of unfamiliar quotations from various Democrats (Spew alert!):

“I was recently on a tour of Latin America, and the only regret I have was that I didn’t study Latin harder in school so I could converse with those people.”

“A zebra doesn’t change its spots.”

“In 50 years there will be no North Pole in the summertime.”

—Al Gore

“On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today — our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.”

“Let me be absolutely clear. Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s.”

“The Middle East is obviously an issue that has plagued the region for centuries.”

–Barack Obama

“If we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, there’s still a 30% chance we’re going to get it wrong.”

“Look, John’s last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number-one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S, jobs.”

“A man I’m proud to call my friend. A man who will be the next President of the United States — Barack America!”

“Stand up, Chuck, let ‘em see ya.” –-to Missouri state Sen. Chuck Graham, who is in a wheelchair.

–Joe Biden

And one more blooper from Obama, graduate of Harvard Law School (hat tip to I Hate The Media for the video below):

The mainstream media gloss right over such ludicrous statements when Democrats commit such gaffes. Of course, any Republican's misstatements get ample coverage.

  2. Hey, we have a president who thinks we have 57 states (the media barely covered that, too), what do you expect?
And you should give yourself a treat and SNOPES the 57 states thing; they're so idiotically biased they say TRUE BUT ... And they GIVE AN EXCUSE! "He was TIRED!" :-)
that's a FACT CHECK for ya! I swear to God.

  4. Those bloopers are getting harder to catch these days, as even fewer journalists are listening to Obama's speeches. I read that Michael Goodwin of The New York Post is starting to turn them off, literally.

I change channels when one of his orations comes on because he has nothing to say. His words are hollow. Even for what he is, if he would actually say anything true and of substance, no matter how repugnant to me, I'd listen.

  8. One of my personal favorites that is not listed is when Obama, planning a trip to Austria, lamented that he did not speak Austrian.

I am still waiting for a liberal to provide even a shred of evidence that this supposedly highly intelligent man, is smarter than the average citizen.

He's a failure at leadership and management and so far he's proven to be incapable of thinking beyond his leftist indoctrination.

  9. One wonders what Dubya must think when he is confronted with under reported Leftist quotes like these...Talk about getting the short end of the stick!

  10. A minor gaffe. Very minor. Yes, Transcontinental and Intercontinental are two very different things, but big words are not Obama's forte, especially with no teleprompter to read. But still, it's minor.

Z, actually Obama thought there are 60 states. He aid he's been to 57 states, with one left to go that equals 58, but then he mentioned his handlers weren't letting him go to Hawaii and Alaska, which brings the number of states up to 60.

Now THAT is a major gaffe!
