    ROFL!

Who makes these videos? These are hilarious.

  2. I work with some liberal elites that talk EXACTLY like this. In fact, it is downright scary. The person that makes these videos is spot on.

  3. I wasn't going to watch the whole thing...but did, and had the best almost-13 minutes of my week so far!

    Thanks, AOW, for this post...and I agree...it IS 'spot-on'!

  4. Ideologues all! Real life is somewhat different from this hypothesis. Such BS!

  5. Over the years, I've come to the conclusion that ideological opposites cannot effectively communicate nor change one another's minds. Perhaps more practice with policy debate in school (high school and college levels) would help.

    A bit about policy debate:

Policy debate is a form of research-based speech competition in which teams of two advocate for and against a resolution that typically calls for policy change by the United States federal government. It is also referred to as cross-examination debate (sometimes shortened to Cross-X, CX, or C-X) because of the 3-minute questioning period following each constructive speech. Affirmative teams generally present a plan as a proposal for implementation of the resolution.

Facts can be differently interpreted, of course, but not as broadly as can feelings and wishes.

  6. Mark,
Yes, real life can be different. Clearly, the video is wry satire.

But I have had several discussions with my liberal neighbor. These discussions have covered the political gamut. I certainly haven't won any of these arguments by means of what I believe, what I "feel"; facts, on the other hand, have led to a few wins on my part.

Sadly, many values-loaded discussions end in rants and a total breakdown of communication, usually by dint of a failure of topicality.

  7. Alligator,
In this Information Age, it is amazing that the left doesn't want to deal exclusively in facts. Witness Nancy Pelosi. Sheesh.

  8. MJB,
Go to the YouTube linked at the end of the video to find more videos like this one.

  9. RP Free Speech,
Glad that you watched the entire thing. It is a bit long, I know.

  10. No liberal has EVER subscribed to the dictum "Live & Let Live". They don't want to convince; they want to coerce.

  11. "I'm a liberal."

    "Oh no."

    ROFL

Awesome vid, AOW-- have a good weekend.

  13. Speaking of liberal elites, Obama honors this years Nobel Peace Prize winner by....wait for it...talking about himself!

And he handles Red China with kid gloves to boot.

(that was my post above deleted. Part of it did not copy)

  14. Alligator,
BHO is such a narcissist that it's disgusting. With him, it's always "Me, me, me!"

  15. Ugh, Obama!

This video is wonderful; it is like reliving every argument I've ever had with a liberal.

  16. Brooke,
I know what you mean. Keeping a liberal on topic is difficult, if not impossible. And some conservatives slide off topic as well -- into "hot button" issues.
