Transparency?

When it came to the Iran agreement, not so much.

Eight minutes expunged from State Department Spokesperson Jen Psak 's response to Fox News reporter James Rosen's question.

No further investigation will be pursued.

From US State Dept edited press briefing video of Iran talks (dated June 1, 2016):
Washington (AFP) - The US State Department edited footage of a press briefing to remove a response to a question about secret back-channel talks with Iran, its spokesman admitted Wednesday.

Spokesman John Kirby asked department lawyers to investigate after Fox News correspondent James Rosen noticed that video of a question he posed in December 2013 was not in the public archive.

On Wednesday, Kirby announced that the cut -- previously described by officials as a "glitch" -- had indeed been deliberately carried out, but said it was not known who had ordered the edit.

[...]

"To my surprise the Bureau of Public affairs did not have in place any rules governing this type of action," he added, promising that henceforth briefings will be properly archived in full.

But that was merely a piece of furtive knowledge, which he happened to possess because his memory was not satisfactorily under control. Officially the change of partners had never happened. Oceania was at war with Eurasia: therefore Oceania had always been at war with Eurasia.

  2. I suppose reporting endless bits of specific data that support a favored position has some value, but I wish with all my heart someone would tell us something we haven't already known in our hears and minds for months –– years –– even DECADES.

Where is the INSIGHT that might help us to INTERPRET these bits of data in ways that might lead to a SOLUTION to the problems with which we are so SO SO overly familiar?

Unlike most, he can dish it out with the best of them, BUT unlike most of the small, mean, fundamentally dishonest creeps he targets, Mr. Trump can also TAKE it –– and keep smiling.

We're fed up with pusillanimous, ineffectual, self-serving politicians who do nothing but play all ends against the middle.

We don't need anymore pundits, policy wonks, diplomats, "experts," or Cigar Store Wooden Indians. What we need are men of positive, constructive ACTION unafraid of any negative consequences there may be to themselves.

Failing that, we may have to resort once again to BLOODY REVOLUTION.

"What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

    They answer legalistically

They mock each criticism.
    The Truth does not engage them;

    They won't admit they're wrong.

Facts they don't like enrage them,

    So resistance grows more strong.
    They either will ignore you,

It seems Lisa of Who's Your Daddy? may have given up her blog.

After receiving 364 comments on a post she put up more than a week ago, she closed access a couple of days ago, and hasn't been heard from since.

Since Lisa in the name of Freedom of Speech welcomes trolls with open arms, the place is totally dominated by witless, worthless sneering, endless bickering, and much valueless vituperation.

I made a concerted effort to COUNTERACT all that by posting quips, a great deal of verse, the lyrics numerous antique nonsense songs some of which I altered to target the worst offenders. Interspersed with all that I posted several carefully written articles germane to the stated topic of Lisa's post. In addition I also posted excerpts from literature of the highest quality that have withstood the test of time.

EVERY WORTHWHILE ITEM I POSTED was STUDIOUSLY IGNORED.

It appears the trolls have won.

Are there any lessons we might draw from this sad tale?

One who will hold up to the Oath that they are sworn into.Being a great president has nothing to do with what race you are or what your birth gender is. We want and need a President who isn't afraid to be politically incorrect if the occasion calls for it. Someone who will not bow down to other countries and who won't apologize for our history and our actions as they were warranted. A President who has this country's military needs at the forefront. A President who will cut off a financial aid to forgien countries who try to cut us off at the knees and over run our country. A President who will enforce the laws of this land and end political tyranny. A President that believes in and will uphold the Constitution of the United States, and that will be Donald Trump who is the complete opposite of Barack Obama and of Hillary Clinton

And he has the nerve to talk about PROGRESS?
He's become so smarmy and full of himself I can't listen to him anymore...he was the first president in history to use the "I" pronoun so very much...and it's time he started to realize everybody is NOT a fan of his, some of us see through him and his actions, and progress will be when he is GONE.

And, of course, liberals will eat up what he says against Trump...very smart move to get him on the campaign trail. I wonder if he'll use Greek columns again? Or get another Nobel prize for nothing?

    1. ACLU Director Quits After Her Young Daughters Are Frightened By Tall, Deep-Voiced Parody Women Entering Ladies' Room:

ATLANTA, May 31, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – The African-American woman who leads a state chapter of the ACLU has resigned, citing her own daughters' "frightened" reaction to biological males using the women's restroom.

The organization's increasing focus on legislating the transgender lobby's concerns pushed Maya Dillard Smith, interim director of the Georgia chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, to tender her resignation.

"I have shared my personal experience of having taken my elementary school age daughters into a women’s restroom when shortly after three transgender young adults, over six feet [tall] with deep voices, entered," she wrote.

"My children were visibly frightened, concerned about their safety and left asking lots of questions for which I, like many parents, was ill-prepared to answer," she continued.

CLINTON BRINGS MOIXIE TO FIGHT WITH TRUMP

    by Niall Stanage - 06/02/16

Hillary Clinton opened fire with both barrels on Donald Trump on Thursday, in a speech that was instantly recognized as a big moment in the incipient general election campaign.

Clinton called Trump “temperamentally unfit” for the presidency during a foreign policy address in San Diego that was infused with disdain for the presumptive GOP nominee.

The tone and tenor of Clinton’s speech elated Democrats, who have been concerned about opinion polls showing a closer than expected race between her and Trump.

“She f*ckin' rocked it!!” exulted Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen in an email to The Hill.

Fears had also been growing about Clinton’s perceived weaknesses as a campaigner as she struggles to close-out Bernie Sanders in a tougher-than-expected Democratic primary.

The doubts were quieted in the aftermath of the speech.
Clinton argued that Trump’s version of foreign policy was comprised of “not even really ideas, just a series of bizarre rants, personal feuds and outright lies” and asserted that one of his few skills was “composing nasty tweets.” She added — correctly — “I’m willing to bet he’s writing a few right now.”

On Twitter, Trump complained that “Crooked Hillary no longer has credibility” and followed up by asserting that the former secretary of State was “reading poorly” from a teleprompter and “doesn’t even look presidential.”

The businessman’s pushback was seen by some as evidence that the former secretary of State had got under his skin.

Meanwhile, the acclaim for Clinton’s address was near-universal in liberal quarters. The Huffington Post declared it “her best speech yet.” David Axelrod, a former key aide to President Obama who is now a CNN contributor, tweeted that Clinton was “Prosecuting @realDonaldTrump with his own words & to good effect. Brutal takedown.”

Clinton’s remarks came as her lead against Trump in the RealClearPolitics (RCP) national polling average has dwindled to a negligible 1.5 percentage points. ...

  14. So, you're calling Maya Dillard Smith, an "unapologetically black" Progressive, a liar?

Her position on the topic seems reasonable:

...Maya Dillard Smith, says support is at the expense of women’s rights.

    More information from this source:

“I have shared my personal experience of having taken my elementary school-age daughters into a women’s restroom when, shortly after, three transgender young adults, over six feet [tall] with deep voices entered,” Smith told Life Site News.

Dillard Smith, 37, said her young children were “frightened” by the ordeal and “concerned about their safety and left asking lots of questions for which I, like many parents, was ill-prepared to answer.”

Dillard Smith also noted that the emphasis on the transgender community undermines the rights of other people that the ACLU has fought for years to protect.

The former ACLU executive, who described herself as “progressive” and “unapologetically black,” suggested the organization leaves no room for discussion about the difficulties that come with making accommodations for the transgender community.

“I found myself principally and philosophically unaligned with the organization,” Dillard Smith said.

“If our goal is to advance the rights of equality of transgender folk, how do we do that, and advance the rights of all people?” Dillard Smith said. “If we have all-gender restrooms which will accommodate trans folks, what do we do about women who are the survivors of rape for whom it would be traumatic to share a public restroom where you take down your underwear, and there’d be men in the bathroom.”

Dillard Smith says she is now launching a digital community called Finding Middle Ground to spark conversations about civil rights issues....

"If we allow [that] Great Goods can collide; that some of them cannot live together, even though others can - in short that one cannot have everything, in principle as well as in practice - and if human creativity may depend upon a variety of mutually exclusive choices: then, as Chernyshevsky and Lenin once asked, "What is to be done?" How do we choose between possibilities? What and how much must we sacrifice to what? There is, seems to me, no clear reply. But the collisions, even if they cannot be avoided, can be softened. Claims can be balanced, compromises can be reached: in concrete situations not every claim is of equal force - so much liberty and so much equality; so much for sharp moral condemnation, and so much for the full force of the law, and so much for the prerogative of mercy; for feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, healing the sick, sheltering the homeless." - Isaiah Berlin

On Thursday, while campaigning in California, former Secretary of State and presumptive Democratic nominee for President weighed in on the debate. After being asked for her thoughts on the situation, Hillary Clinton took the opportunity to frame the question into the larger debate over police violence and racial tension in America.

“I will tell you one thing,” Clinton said to a group of reporters. “If that gorilla was white, this situation would have ended differently. This was another senseless act of violence that spawned from prejudicial views about skin color.”

“Trayvon Martin, Freddie Gray, Michael Brown — now you can add Harambe to that list,” Clinton continued.

“Another life has been ended because people reacted quickly and let their prejudices overtake their capacity for logical thought.”

  25. Ever since Hillary Clinton announced her run for the presidency concerns have been raised in many quarters, by people of all political persuasions, that she was simply too old to hold the office if she was elected. Hillary, if elected, would be the second oldest person to win the office after Ronald Reagan. But where Reagan was very active throughout his life, Hillary is a different story.
now, as she approaches the BIG SEVEN-ZERO she is very out of shape. It is a safe bet that her BMI is over 30 — I base that not on having access to her weight but on the dimensions of her posterior and the girth of her ankles — which makes her obese; best casing it, she is at the upper bounds of overweight. With age and obesity comes Type II diabetes and hypertension. Together you have increased risk for heart disease and stroke. Lack of exercise and physical condition has also been documented to impair mental function.

We know that Hillary Clinton has suffered from fainting spells since at least 20o5. In that year she passed out, presumably sober, while giving a speech. In 2012, she passed out yet again and suffered a concussion. Radar Online has reported that sources close to Hillary Clinton say she has suffered minor strokes and may have multiple sclerosis.

I've never seen Hillary Clinton as healthy or sharp or very well "put together". She almost always looks like she just rolled out of bed. With all the money she and Bill have you would think she could spend some of it on an on-call hair and make up person considering how much she is in the public eye. I mean... she recently appeared in public in what looked like a cheap wig! How hard can it be to sit in a chair and let someone do your hair and make up?? Her lack of energy, and btw, most of us take a nap "on" the top of our bed spread or "on" the couch for a cat nap. She was described as "in" bed taking a nap at 5:00 in the evening. Sounds to me like she was in her pj's and in bed for the night. Depression? Anxiety? Illness? Results of a pampered, political class existence? All the more reason that we republicans/conservatives/whatever want Donald Trump.
At one time Hillary had an 8am meeting with an Indian Dignitary and Huma was worried she did not know she had that meeting which was now confirmed. Make one wonder what had happened when she got that 3:00 o’clock phone call from Benghazi!

Hillary has displayed no inclination to serve the public good in Libya but she has been faithful to the foundation donors in guiding policy when she could. The tragic death of Ambassador Stevens and three others in Benghazi 9/11 was the outcome of a reckless Libya policy, makeshift and self serving mostly.

  27. Hillary Clinton, who is the front-running presidential candidate for the Democrat’s who doesÅ„t do interviews, and how doesn’t answer questions, finally sat down with CNN on and said, "People should and do trust me." New York Times columnist Bill Safire must be rolling in his grave. A 1996 essay of his, "Blizzard of Lies," began, "Americans of all political persuasions are coming to the sad realization that our first lady — a woman of undoubted talents who was a role model for many in her generation — is a congenital liar." White House Press Secretary responded: The lies he catalogued back then included her phony explanation for a 10,000% profit in 1979 commodity trading, which "amounted to a $100,000 bribe"; the firing of White House travel aides, "who were then harassed by the FBI and Justice Department to justify patronage replacement by Mrs. Clinton's cronies"; and "lying when she denied actively representing a criminal enterprise known as the Madison S&L."
    TRUST HER? IS SHE KIDDING?
"She is in the longtime habit of lying," Safire wrote nearly two decades ago, "and she has never been called to account for lying herself or in suborning lying in her aides and friends."

"Trust me" is a game the Clintons have been playing for a long time.
No candidate has ever been less qualified to hold the office of President...
And considering the present occupant of the White House, that's really saying something.

And I blame the Progressive Nazi Politicians, because this is exactly what they do . I blame the over 40% of the American population who are ignorant enough to vote for stooges like Hillary Clinton...
Everyday we get new articles and more and more proof that she is a crook, lair, thief, and a corrupt politician, and so on we all know for decades that this old shit stain is a corrupt hag, the question is, will she face jail time for all this lawlessness!? Will there ever be a end to this dog and pony show with Hillary Clinton!?

ABBOTT and COSTELLO'S BRILLIANT EXPLANATION of a CRUCIAL ISSUE

COSTELLO: I want to talk about the unemployment rate in America .

ABBOTT: Good Subject. Terrible Times. It’s 5.6%.

COSTELLO: That many people are out of work?

    ABBOTT: No, that’s 23%.

    COSTELLO: You just said 5.6%.

    ABBOTT: 5.6% Unemployed.

COSTELLO: Right 5.6% out of work.

    ABBOTT: No, that’s 23%.

COSTELLO: Okay, so it’s 23% unemployed.

    ABBOTT: No, that’s 5.6%.

COSTELLO: WAIT A MINUTE. Is it 5.6% or 23%?

ABBOTT: 5.6% are unemployed. 23% are out of work.

COSTELLO: If you are out of work you are unemployed.

ABBOTT: No, Obama said you can’t count the “Out of Work” as the unemployed. You have to look for work to be unemployed.

COSTELLO: BUT THEY ARE OUT OF WORK!!!

ABBOTT: No, you miss his point.

    COSTELLO: What point?

ABBOTT: Someone who doesn’t look for work can’t be counted with those who look for work. It wouldn’t be fair.

    COSTELLO: To whom?

    ABBOTT: The unemployed.

COSTELLO: But ALL of them are out of work.

ABBOTT: No, the unemployed are actively looking for work. Those who are out of work gave up looking and if you give up, you are no longer in the ranks of the unemployed.

COSTELLO: So if you’re off the unemployment roles that would count as less unemployment?

ABBOTT: Unemployment would go down. Absolutely!

COSTELLO: The unemployment just goes down because you don’t look for work?

ABBOTT: Absolutely it goes down. That’s how it gets to 5.6%. Otherwise it would be 23%.

COSTELLO: Wait, I got a question for you. That means there are two ways to bring down the unemployment number?

    ABBOTT: Two ways is correct.

COSTELLO: Unemployment can go down if someone gets a job?

    ABBOTT: Correct.

COSTELLO: And unemployment can also go down if you stop looking for a job?

    ABBOTT: Bingo.

COSTELLO: So there are two ways to bring unemployment down, and the easier of the two is to have people stop looking for work.

ABBOTT: Now you’re thinking like a Democrat.

COSTELLO: I don’t even know what the hell I just said!

ABBOTT: Now you’re thinking like Hillary!

Any fool should be able to see that. However, taking all that into consideration only makes the reported figure all the more alarming.

DEMOCRATS are MOUNTEBANKS –– CHARLATANS –– CON-ARTISTS - PROFESSIONAL PREVARICATORS -- you name it.

The tragedy for our nation lies in the rank and file members of the Democratic Party's seemingly unlimited capacity to deceive THEMSELVES into BELIEVING the outrageous sophistry their leaders ceaselessly generate.

  32. So, where have I been instead of participating much in this thread?

Extended doctor's appointment on Wednesday (consult with the colon specialist), yesterday a CT scan of abdomen and pelvis as the first diagnostic step for detecting the cause of this terrible abdominal pain.

    Caught in the medical loop!
