"Busyness" is -- most of the time, anyway -- a self-imposed punishment that provides the illusion of doing something important, IMO.<br /><br />Of course, the rat race and "busyness" have one thing in common: raising one's stress levels. It is debatable whether or not raising one's stress levels to a certain point is a bad thing <i>per se</i>.
